Dec 6 10:20pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman needs to prove his worth in Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints. Coleman helplessly watched backup Raheem Mostert notch 154 yards and a score in Week 13 as he managed just six touches for 15 yards. The de facto starter has struggled for six straight games, opening the door for a surging Mostert. With Matt Breida (ankle) also expected back in the mix, Coleman is a volatile RB3 against a tough Saints rush defense. Ideally, Coleman is positioned for double-digit touches this Sunday but with the Niners not shy to leverage the hot hand, fantasy managers will hope he capitalizes on his shrinking opportunities.

Dec 5 12:53pm ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman needs 46 more rushing yards to reach 500 for the season and give the team its first trio of 500-yard rushers in a season since 1954.

Fantasy Spin: It continues to be quite a fantasy conundrum in the Niners' backfield with Matt Breida likely returning this week after a three-game absence and Raheem Mostert coming off his first career 100-yard rushing game (19-146) against the Ravens last week. All three backs are low-end, dart-throw flex plays in tough road matchup against the Saints.

From TheHuddle

Dec 3 9:23pm ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert played 42 offensive snaps against the Baltimore Ravens Sunday, Dec. 1. RB Tevin Coleman played just 10 and RB Jeff Wilson Jr. played five.

Fantasy Spin: Mostert now has rushing touchdowns in back-to-back games as he appears to have usurped an uninspiring Coleman. RB Matt Breida (ankle) has a chance to return this week which will be one more member of the timeshare with which to compete, but Mostert should handle the bulk of the rushing duties with Breida and Coleman sharing pass-catching work.

From TheHuddle

Dec 1 6:50pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman managed just six yards on five carries in Week 13 against the Baltimore Ravens. He also added a nine-yard catch. The muddy and wet conditions couldve been deceiving but its apparent backup Raheem Mostert completely supplanted Coleman midway through the game. Mostert collected 146 rushing yards, dominating backfield snaps while Coleman received zero action. Its unclear if he suffered an injury but no reports have surfaced. Its a major burn from Coleman in a critical fantasy week but game flow possibly resulted in Mosterts breakout game. After his sixth consecutive lackluster game, Coleman should be downgraded to an RB3 in Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints.

Nov 25 11:40am ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman carried the ball 11 times for 39 yards with a rushing touchdown and caught two of four targets for 10 yards in a 37-8 win over the Green Bay Packers. The 49ers forced a fumble on Green Bay's opening possession and recovered on the goal-line, giving Coleman the score that saved his fantasy output. The 26-year-old struggled to find open lanes and was out-gained by fellow back Raheem Mostert. Coleman hasn't been great the last two games, though he's still seen at least 13 touches in all but one game this year, giving him at least flex value moving forward. He and the 49ers will get a Week 13 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens, the seventh-ranked rushing defense.

Nov 25 3:53am ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman ran 11 times for 39 yards and a touchdown in Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers. He added two catches on four targets for 10 more yards.

Fantasy Spin: Coleman was gifted a touchdown less than two minutes into the game when the defense recovered an Aaron Rodgers fumble at the Green Bay 2-yard line. Unfortunately, the rest of the night was much like his previous three weeks - mediocre yardage totals and a 15-touch ceiling. Coleman has surprisingly only mustered 116 yards rushing on 44 carries over the last four games combined. He'll be a flex play at best again in Week 13 versus the Baltimore Ravens.

From TheHuddle

Nov 22 12:10pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman is in a great position to have a solid game in Week 12. He's had at least 13 touches in each game he's played since his return from injury and it looks likely that the team will be without No. 2 running back Matt Breida (ankle) for the second straight week. Coleman hasn't flourished with his heavy workload this year, apart from his four-touchdown explosion against the Panthers. Still, he's been managing to gain around 60 yards per game and he's been active in both the run game and pass game for the 49ers. Expect him to see at least 15 touches this week against a Packers Defense that has been vulnerable against both the pass and run. Coleman could end up with between 80 and 100 yards this week with a good chance to score.

From RotoBaller

Nov 17 8:20pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman managed just 14 yards on 12 carries but added 48 yards on three catches in Week 11 against the Arizona Cardinals. Coleman led the squad in rushing despite the tepid performance, as the Niners recorded just 34 ground yards. Since exploding for four touchdowns in Week 8, Colemans been held scoreless and under 75 scrimmage yards in three straight contests. Even without running back Matt Breida, Colemans usage barely budged, with Raheem Mostert garnering eight touches. Despite the inefficiency, Colemans bankable for weekly double-digit touches, making him a strong RB2 in Week 12 against a weak Green Bay Packers run defense.

From RotoBaller

Nov 15 6:13pm ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 15, and is not on the injury report for Week 11.

Fantasy Spin: Coleman should receive a majority of the work at running back with Matt Breida ruled out and can be a solid No. 2 running back in all leagues because of the favorable matchup.

From TheHuddle

Nov 15 12:20pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman will shoulder the load in Week 11 against the Arizona Cardinals. With Matt Breida (ankle) highly questionable, Coleman will likely handle more than his typical 50 percent snap share and is probably in-line for a season-high in touches. With quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo struggling and a banged-up pass-catching corps, the Niners may ride Coleman against a beatable Cardinals Defense. While hes struggled with efficiency and was muted for 36 scrimmage yards against Arizona in Week 9, Coleman has the projected volume to be a backend RB1 on Sunday.

From RotoBaller

Nov 14 4:03pm ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman (personal) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 14.

Fantasy Spin: Since his four-touchdown explosion in Week 8, the 26-year-old has performed more at a middling RB3 level. In Week 11, Coleman will see an Arizona Cardinals defense that held him to 36 scoreless yards on 14 touches two games ago. Even with Matt Breida likely sidelined this week, Coleman will likely see no more work than usual as Raheem Mostert fills in for Breida.

From TheHuddle

Nov 12 1:03am ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman rushed nine times for 40 yards in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks and he added four receptions for 32 yards on four targets.

Fantasy Spin: Coleman led the charge for the 49ers, and it was he and Raheem Mostert finishing up in the backfield with Matt Breida leaving the game early. The 49ers are back in action in Week 11 against the visiting Arizona Cardinals. Coleman totaled just 36 yards from scrimmage on 14 touches in Week 9 in Arizona.

From TheHuddle

Nov 12 12:40am ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman raced for 40 yards on nine carries and added four catches for 32 yards in Week 10s loss against the Seattle Seahawks. Coleman and the Niners running attack was mostly contained, but he made a few clutch grabs to help the Niners push the contest to overtime. The fifth-year back was once again the leader of the rushing committee and with Matt Breida (ankle) banged up, Coleman could be poised for more work in Week 11 against the Arizona Cardinals. Hell be a borderline RB1 in a great matchup this coming Sunday.

From RotoBaller

Nov 7 1:20pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman will retain his RB2 status in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks. Coleman left fantasy managers on tilt after Week 9s 36-yard flop, but draws a beatable Seattle front seven allowing 4.51 adjusted line yards per carry. The Niners already-elite rushing attack should also get bulldozing fullback Kyle Juszczyk (knee) and both starting tackles back for Mondays NFC West battle. As the frontman of the rushing committee and the preferred back at the goal-line, Coleman has sustainable volume with upside. Expect the Niners to try and win time of possession on Monday night, making both Coleman and Matt Breida quality fantasy plays.

From RotoBaller

Nov 1 1:53am ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman had 12 carries for 23 yards in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals. He also caught two passes for 13 yards.

Fantasy Spin: Coming off a monster game against Carolina on Sunday, Coleman never got going Thursday night, managing a season-low 35 yards of total offense. It was a painful reminder to fantasy owners that San Francisco is a true committee backfield, and gauging value from one week to the next for a given player will be difficult under these circumstances. Coleman still carries more week-to-week value than Matt Breida, but he should be viewed as no more than an RB2/RB3.

From TheHuddle

Nov 1 1:00am ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman gained just 23 yards on 12 carries in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals, contributing another 13 yards on two catches. Colemans mediocre performance was a major buzzkill after his four-touchdown explosion last Sunday as he was out-touched by backfield mate Matt Breida 17-14 and outgained 92-36. Coleman played his usual snaps and was the preferred goal-line back, but the Niners opted to air it out for four touchdowns Thursday evening. Aside from his Week 8 outburst, Coleman has struggled with efficiency this season but still has the volume to be an upside RB2. Hell draw a favorable matchup in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks.

From RotoBaller

Oct 30 6:10pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman earns an RB1 tag in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals. Since returning from injury in Week 5, Colemans been a monster, compiling 337 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns on 71 touches, including a four-game explosion in Week 8. Coleman draws a sweet Halloween matchup against a bottom-four Cardinals Defense thats equally bad against both run and pass. With backfield mates Matt Breida (ankle) and Raheem Mostert (knee) questionable for Thursday, Coleman could shoulder more than his typical 50-60% snap share. Expect Coleman and the Niners elite running scheme to haunt the Cardinals all evening.

From RotoBaller

Oct 28 2:43am ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman carried the ball 11 times for 105 yards and three touchdowns against the Carolina Panthers in Week 8. He also caught two passes for 13 yards a touchdown.

Fantasy Spin: Coleman turned 13 touches into 118 yards and four scores. Wow. The backfield dynamic in San Francisco makes it hard to pinpoint which one is gonna have a big day, but Coleman seems to have surpassed Matt Breida as the top back to own. He's in for a tasty matchup against the Arizona Cardinals on Halloween.

From TheHuddle

Oct 27 8:00pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman rushed 11 times for 105 yards and three touchdowns, adding two catches for 13 yards and another score in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Rams. Coleman and the Niners offensive line gutted the Panthers all day, highlighted by a 48-yard house call to close out the second quarter. Colemans volume has provided him backend RB1 status since returning from injury in Week 5 and he finally cashed in with a monster performance. Despite an injury to Matt Breida (ankle), Colemans workload wont increase substantially as the team will keep employing its structural committee. But behind the games most dominant run game, Coleman is an RB1 in Week 9 against a soft Arizona Cardinals rush defense.

From RotoBaller

Oct 27 7:30pm ET

49ers' RB Tevin Coleman ran for 105 yards on 11 carries with three touchdowns in Sunday's win against the Panthers.
