New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon will try and rebound after catching only two passes for 19 yards in Week 2. Gordon has plenty of talent but the acquisition of Antonio Brown certainly is cutting into his chances. He will go up against a Jets Defense that was gashed by Odell Beckham Jr. and the Browns last Monday. The Patriots offense is so explosive that keeping everyone happy will be tough. Gordon may be the one to suffer for now and will be no higher than a WR3/4 heading into Week 3.

Sep 15 4:30pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon caught only two passes for 19 yards in the Patriots 43-0 win over the Dolphins. Gordon was targeted on back-to-back plays, picking up a first down and then disappeared from the game plan. The Patriots got off to a huge lead and opted to run the football for large portions of the second half. The debut of Antonio Brown also has cut into Gordon's opportunities and quarterback Tom Brady will have plenty of talented mouths to feed on offense moving forward.

Sep 14 4:10pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon should play a major role in the team's passing game in Week 2 against the Dolphins. Gordon tallied 73 yards with one touchdown against the Steelers last week and now will face a Dolphins Defense that allowed the most fantasy points to receivers in Week 1. Gordon should see a healthy amount of targets in the game but questions linger moving forward about his role now that Antonio Brown is on the team. Gordon could easily post WR1 numbers this Sunday but could disappoint if he loses snaps to Brown.

Sep 9 3:40am ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon caught three passes for 73 yards and one touchdown in the team's 33-3 stomping of the Steelers in Week 1. Gordon got the Patriots on the board with an excellent 20-yard catch for a touchdown in a game that was over after the first quarter. Gordon has all the talent in the world but the addition of Antonio Brown will certainly factor into Gordon's production moving forward. From a fantasy perspective, Gordon is a boom-or-bust option in the weeks ahead.

Sep 9 1:53am ET

New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon caught three of his four targets for 73 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Spin: Gordon scored the game's first touchdown, breaking a couple of tackles on a 20-yarder after hauling in a short drag route. He also impressively held on to the ball at the end of a 44-yard catch in which he got drilled after a deep shot. Fantasy owners hoping he can live up to the fifth or sixth-round pick they used on him in recent drafts will likely have to readjust their expectations now that Antonio Brown is headed to Foxboro, but Gordon should still be able to post more lines like this a few times this season.

From TheHuddle

Sep 3 5:20pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon is trending towards suiting up and playing Week 1 against the Steelers this Sunday night. Gordon's reinstatement caught many in the fantasy community by surprise and his value has sky-rocketed over the last week. But Gordon missed most of training camp and it is unclear how comfortable he is currently in the offense. The talented playmaker has WR1 potential but buyer beware starting him Week 1. Gordon should be able to post elite numbers later in the season but could disappoint right out of the gate to begin 2019.

Aug 30 3:20pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon caught two passes for 30 yards in the Patriots final preseason game. Gordon's appearance on the field was met with cheers from the New England fans and saw six targets in the game. Few doubt Gordon's talent but questions about his availability due to off the field issues will most likely remain for the rest of his career. For now, Gordon is in the team's good graces and is ready to make an impact in Week 1. He will have WR2/3 value, with tons of upside, heading into the Patriots Week 1 tilt against the Steelers.

From RotoBaller

Aug 30 12:50pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon is officially eligible to play in Week 1, according to the NFL. Gordon was conditionally reinstated earlier this month. Quarterback Tom Brady averaged more yards per attempt while targeting Gordon (10.4 yards per attempt) than any player in his illustrious career with a minimum of 30 attempts. Gordon will stretch the field and have WR2 upside, but he's also an extreme risk due to his repeated drug violations. He has only played a handful of snaps this preseason, and it might take some time for him to get acclimated. Look at him as more of a WR3 or flex option in Week 1.

From RotoBaller

Aug 29 11:43pm ET

New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon caught two of his six targets for 30 yards in a 31-29 preseason loss to the New York Giants Thursday, Aug. 29.

Fantasy Spin: Gordon was productive when he was on the field last year, and while there is no guarantee he will stay out of trouble for a full season, he has WR3 upside.

From TheHuddle

Aug 25 5:13pm ET

New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon (undisclosed) was activated from the Active/Non-Football Injury list Sunday, Aug. 25, and participated in practice.

Fantasy Spin: Gordon has two weeks to prepare for the start of the regular season. Gordon has played very well in the past but is a risky option because he has missed so much time. He has a chance to be a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues if he does not have any problems.

From TheHuddle

Aug 25 4:00pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon is dressed in full pads on Sunday, which is an indication that he has been taken off the Non-Football Injury list. It puts Gordon on track to be ready for Week 1. The controversial wide receiver has had his fair share of problems off the field, but he proved in 2018 that he had great chemistry with quarterback Tom Brady late in the year. The 28-year-old finished with 40 receptions for 720 yards and three scores in his 11 games with the Pats, and he should be a top weapon through the air behind Julian Edelman. His return hurts Phillip Dorsett and rookie N'Keal Harry the most. Gordon, if healthy and active, has clear WR2 upside.

From RotoBaller

Aug 20 3:10pm ET

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's fantasy value has taken a few hits this offseason with his advancing age and the retirement of Rob Gronkowski. But the 42-year-old certainly got a lift when wide receiver Josh Gordon was reinstated, and Gordon will be allowed to join the team on the field this week. It is uncertain whether Gronk would ever unretire to hitch his wagon to one more Super Bowl run, but Gordon should help Brady's fantasy value. Brady posted more than 23 fantasy points in a game only 19 percent of his starts last season and posted 15 or less in 38 percent of his starts. Those type of numbers should keep Brady out of the top-10 quarterbacks taken in upcoming drafts.

Aug 19 9:20pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon returned to the team on Monday after being reinstated from suspension by the league on Friday. However, it's unclear when Gordon will be cleared to practice. The 28-year-old's return is a massive boost to New England's receiver depth, which isn't all that strong in 2019. The Pats offense was much more productive with Gordon in the lineup last year, and his 18 yards per catch was second in the NFL behind DeSean Jackson. Brady and Gordon had their growing pains last year, but it's obvious that he's a real deep threat and an intriguing fantasy option. Brady was 11-for-15 for 145 yards when targeting Gordon on slants and 8-for-9 for 198 yards and a touchdown on in-routes. There's obvious risk with Gordon, but if he's on the field he should be plenty effective. He's RotoBaller's No. 21 fantasy wideout.

From RotoBaller

Aug 18 5:13pm ET

New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon was placed on the Non-Football Injury list Sunday, Aug. 18, upon his conditional reinstatement.

Fantasy Spin: It's largely a procedural move for the Patriots while Gordon is brought up to speed. He remains one of the most tantalizing fantasy prospects at wide receiver, but his off-field issues continue to carry immense risk when drafting him.

From TheHuddle

Aug 17 8:23am ET

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon may be in attendance for the team's next preseason game against the Carolina Panthers Thursday, Aug. 22, but it is unknown if he will play.

From TheHuddle

Aug 16 6:50pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordonhas been conditionally reinstated by the NFL and can begin practicing with the Patriots. The NFL has slowly begun to soften its stance on recreational marijuana use and its players, as evidenced by Gordon's return. The talented wide receiver is currently under contract with the Patriots and can join them at their practice facility soon. This is a huge win for both the player and the Patriots offense as Gordon was just beginning to come into his own catching passes from quarterback Tom Brady. Gordon caught 40 passes last season for 720 (18.0 yards per catch) with three touchdowns. It is unsure whether Gordon is in game shape but immediately becomes a fantasy factor in upcoming drafts.

From RotoBaller

Aug 16 6:43pm ET

New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon has been conditionally reinstated after serving an indefinite suspension. He will be allowed to go to the Patriots facility starting Sunday, Aug. 18.

From TheHuddle

Aug 4 7:40pm ET

This starts the process of Josh Gordon getting back into the league. The Patriots placed a second-round tender on him in March, so he'll be a Patriot if/when he is reinstated. Gordon had great chemistry with Brady, going for 720 yards in just 11 games. Brady posted a video on IG in June of Gordon catching passes from him, and has been quoted saying "I only have good things to say about the guy. I've always enjoyed playing with him." If things break right for Gordon, he could be back before the season starts. It's certainly a situation to pay attention to, as Gordon has already been a popular sleeper in the deeper rounds of fantasy drafts.

From RotoBaller

Aug 3 11:33am ET

New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon has applied for reinstatement from suspension, according to a league source.

From TheHuddle

Jun 19 10:10pm ET

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady posted a video on his Instagram of him throwing to suspended wide receiver Josh Gordon. He has been suspended indefinitely by the league for multiple violations of the substance-abuse policy, but there is a "chance" that Gordon could be reinstated by training camp next month. This is further proof that the Patriots think Gordon will become eligible to play at some point in 2019. With New England's lack of receiver depth, they really hope he's available to them eventually. If active, Gordon is a fantasy relevant receiver with big upside after he caught 40 passes for 720 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games for the Pats in his first season with them last year.
