The Dallas Cowboys Defense makes for a strong addition to a Week 11 fantasy lineup. The Cowboys defense has been a bit more hype than performance so far this season, but Week 11 lines up as a good one. Taking on the Detroit Lions, who could be without quarterback Matthew Stafford, the Cowboys defense shouldn't have too much of a hard time racking up fantasy points this week.

Dallas Cowboys LB Leighton Vander Esch (neck) was credited with 13 tackles (five solo) against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10.

Dallas Cowboys LB Jaylon Smith recorded 13 tackles, including seven solo, in Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Dallas Cowboys Defense wasn't great in a Week 10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. They allowed 28 points and did not record an interception or a fumble recovery. They only sacked opposing quarterback Kyle Cousins once. The Cowboys defense will be a highly recommended unit next week against the Detroit Lions if quarterback Matthew Stafford (back) is forced to miss another game.

Dallas Cowboys FS Jeff Heath (shoulder) left the Week 10 game against the Minnesota Vikings in the first half and he is questionable to return.

Dallas Cowboys OT Cameron Fleming (calf) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 8, and has been ruled out for Week 10. LB Sean Lee (non-injury, pectoral) did not practice but is not on the injury report. OT La'el Collins (knee), OG Zack Martin (ankle, back), OT Tyron Smith (ankle) and LB Leighton Vander Esch (neck) were limited during practice but are not on the injury report. S Jeff Heath (knee, shoulder) fully participated in practice and is not on the injury report.

Dallas Cowboys OT Cameron Fleming (calf) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 7. OT La'el Collins (knee), S Jeff Heath (knee, shoulder), LB Sean Lee (pectoral), OG Zack Martin (ankle, back), OT Tyron Smith (ankle) and LB Leighton Vander Esch (neck) were limited during practice.

LB Leighton Vander Esch (neck) is practicing on a limited basis Thursday, Nov. 7 for the second straight day.

Fantasy Spin: Vander Esch is trending in the right direction after sitting out Week 9, but his IDP league owners will need to continue to monitor his progress over the next few days.

Dallas Cowboys OT Cameron Fleming (calf) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 6. OT La'el Collins (knee), S Jeff Heath (knee, shoulder), LB Sean Lee (pectoral), OG Zack Martin (ankle, back), OT Tyron Smith (ankle) and LB Leighton Vander Esch (neck) were limited during practice.

The Dallas Cowboys Defense has been a strong fantasy defense recently, but they will face a much tougher test against the Minnesota Vikings this week on Sunday Night Football. The Cowboys defense looked good against the Eagles and Giants, but the Vikings are a much more careful offense. They've given up just four turnovers in their last five games, so the Cowboys defense is limited in its big play upside this week. They are not a defense that should be completely avoided, but many leagues should have better options on the waiver wire for Week 10.
