Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen (foot) said his foot is completely healed heading into offseason workouts. His priority is to get a contract extension before the season, so it sounds as though Olsen is set on playing at least a few more seasons. A foot injury limited Olsen to just seven games last year and snapped his streak of three straight seasons with 1,000-plus yards. Even at 33 years old, Olsen could return to the 1,000-yard mark in 2018 if he can stay healthy with new offensive coordinator Norv Turner looking to push the ball downfield more often. Olsen could be a value pick as a midrange TE1 in fall drafts.

Apr 17 3:33pm ET

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) said his injured foot is completely healed and that his focus this offseason is securing a contract extension before the regular season begins. If an extension is not achieved then Olsen said broadcasting for Monday Night Football would be a viable option.

Mar 27 3:30pm ET

Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said tight end Greg Olsen (foot) won't need a second surgery on his foot. Olsen has been running and doing bike work already. Olsen had a frustrating year in 2017 because of his injury, catching a career-low 17 passes for 191 yards and one touchdown in seven games, and he was inconsistent after returning late in the year. Olsen considered retirement, but he is all in for 2018 and should be a TE1 again this year if he's healthy.

Mar 16 2:40pm ET

Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen is committed to playing in 2018 and beyond despite the fact that he was auditioning for an ESPN broadcasting job on Friday, according to sources. Olsen is just setting himself up for life after football apparently. Not many would have blamed Olsen for hanging up his cleats after a foot injury limited him to seven games in 2017, but he appears committed to the team. When healthy, Olsen remains a solid TE1, and he could benefit from offensive coordinator Norv Turner's aggressively downfield schemes in 2018.

Mar 16 1:30pm ET

Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen is auditioning Friday to be an analyst on ESPN's Monday Night Football, according to sources. The 33-year-old could continue his career in 2018 if he doesn't get the job. Olsen played in just seven games last year because of a foot injury, which makes sense why he might be considering retirement. If he's not in the picture this year, it'd make Carolina much less explosive through the air. If Olsen returns and is healthy, he'll be a midrange TE1.

Mar 16 12:43pm ET

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen is reportedly auditioning for a broadcasting job with ESPN Friday, March 16, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, who adds 'this is about life after football, not next year' and that sources have stated he is committed to football for 2018 and beyond.

Feb 6 10:00am ET

Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen (foot) does not need offseason surgery. Olsen had multiple setbacks during the 2017 season, but will not require any follow-up procedures. He should be fully healthy for the start of OTAs in April. Entering a contract year, the Panthers may look to extend Olsen before training camp.

Feb 3 5:03pm ET

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) will not need any more surgery on his foot and is looking forward to working with new offensive coordinator Norv Turner.

Jan 7 10:30pm ET

Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen caught eight passes for 107 yards, including 14-yard touchdown catch as the Panthers came up short against the Saints 31-26. The veteran tight end certainly rose to the occasion on the biggest stage after a season lost due to a foot injury. Olsen still proved he can be a dynamic threat in the passing game and with a healthy offseason should be able to return to top-5 fantasy tight end status next season.

Jan 7 8:30pm ET

Carolina's TE Greg Olsen had 8 receptions for 107 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's loss in New Orleans.

Jan 7 8:23pm ET

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen posted eight receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets in the NFC Wild Card Game on Sunday, Jan. 7, against the New Orleans Saints.

Jan 5 5:23pm ET

Jan 5 2:53pm ET

Carolina Panthers OG Trai Turner (concussion) practiced in full for the third straight day Friday, Jan. 5, and has been listed as questionable for the Wild-Card Game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Jan. 7. WR Devin Funchess (shoulder) and OT Matt Kalil (illness) each returned to a limited practice Friday and have also been listed as questionable. S Mike Adams (rest), DE Mario Addison (hip), DT Vernon Butler (shoulder), S Kurt Coleman (ankle), DE Wes Horton (rib), C Ryan Kalil (shoulder), QB Cam Newton (shoulder), TE Greg Olsen (foot), DE Julius Peppers (rest), RB Jonathan Stewart (back) and LB Shaq Thompson (foot) all participated fully in practice Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

Jan 3 6:13pm ET

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) fully participate in practice Wednesday, Jan. 3.

Jan 2 5:30pm ET

Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen will face a Saints defense that has been one of the toughest units against tight ends all season. They have allowed the fifth fewest fantasy points to the position and also have not allowed a touchdown catch since Week 11 to the position. Olsen has not caught a touchdown against the Saints since 2015 and is still working his way back into the flow of the offense after missing most of the season with a foot injury. There is no doubting Olsen's talent, but he could disappoint this Sunday. Of all the tight ends active heading into the playoff weekend, however, Olsen still presents the most upside and will be a volatile play in fantasy.

Dec 31 8:30pm ET

Carolina Panthers tight Greg Olsen was held to one catch for 10 yards in the Panthers 22-10 loss to the Falcons. It wasn't like quarterback Cam Newton didn't look his way as Olsen was targeted nine times in the game. At times Newton's throws simply sailed over a wide open Olsen's head in a frustrating day for the Carolina offense. Nonetheless, Olsen is healthy and back on the field for the playoffs. The veteran will be a solid TE1 option heading into the playoffs.

Dec 31 8:13pm ET

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton completed 14-of-34 passes for 180 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in the Week 17 game against the Atlanta Falcons. He also rushed 11 times for a game-high 59 yards. RB Cameron Artis-Payne ran five times for 16 yards, while RB Christian McCaffrey chipped in with six runs, 14 yards and five catches for 40 yards. WR Devin Funchess ended up with two receptions, 48 yards and a score, while TE Greg Olsen was limited to one catch and 10 yards.

Dec 29 6:53pm ET

Carolina Panthers CB LaDarius Gunter (illness) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 29, and is listed as questionable for Week 17. SS Kurt Coleman (ankle) and OG Trai Turner (concussion) were limited during practice and are listed as questionable. FS Mike Adams (non-injury), DE Mario Addison (hip), WR Devin Funchess (shoulder), C Ryan Kalil (shoulder), QB Cam Newton (shoulder), OG Andrew Norwell (ankle), TE Greg Olsen (foot), DE Julius Peppers (non-injury), WR Russell Shepard (shoulder), RB Jonathan Stewart (non-injury) and LB Shaq Thompson (foot) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

Dec 29 6:43pm ET
