Tonyan was 20th overall in fantasy tight end scoring last season. He got his catches, finishing with 53 receptions. It was the second time in three seasons he had 50-plus receptions. Tonyan had just three games with double-digit fantasy points, though. He had more than 40 yards just two games. Tonyan signed with the Bears this offseason and will move to more of a backup role in Chicago. Tonyan has good speed for a player of his size and runs solid routes. He still isn't a great blocker but is improved in that area. He has great hands and rarely drops a pass (just two drops for his career).
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Tonyan should see a regression in production with a move to Chicago. But if injury hits, he could be worth grabbing for fantasy teams. He has some potential in a starting role in this offense. But for now, look for around 20 receptions for 200 yards and a few scores.
