2024 RTSports Outlook

The Vikings took Addison in the first round of this year's draft to take over the starting spot opposite Justin Jefferson. He should play a big role in the Vikings passing game from day one. Addison has top speed for the position and does well on short and deep routes. He gets in and out of his breaks in a hurry. Addison will struggle a little with the contested catch and could get stronger.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Addison has a chance to be the top rookie receiver. He lands in a great spot for success. Consider him a No. 3 for fantasy teams. He can get around 80 receptions for 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns.

Player Notes
Jan 8 1:10pm ET

Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison capped off an impressive first year in the NFL with four catches on his eight targets for 57 yards and his 10th touchdown of the year in Sunday's 30-20 loss to the Detroit Lions in the regular season finale. In half-PPR scoring, the first-rounder finished as the WR20 in his first full year in the league with an impressive 70 receptions (108 targets) for 911 yards and the 10 scores. It certainly helped that All-Pro wideout Justin Jefferson missed a big chunk of games (six to be exact) in the middle of the season due to a hamstring injury, but Addison made good on his first-round draft pedigree and should form one of the best receiver duos with Jefferson for years to come. Fantasy managers can't bank on double-digit touchdowns from Addison in Year 2, but he should remain highly productive with Jefferson taking plenty of attention away from him.

Jan 7 9:00am ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison ranks as a low-end WR3/FLEX option for Week 18 against the Detroit Lions. The rookie has endured a rollercoaster season, posting impressive results as the primary offensive target but also delivering some dud games. He has 1.2 and 5.8 points (PPR) over the last two weeks, respectively, creating some real concern about his value for this Sunday. It should be noted that the 21-year-old has played at least 90 percent of snaps in eight of his last nine games, so now he just needs Nick Mullens to look his way more often. Addison's low floor and high ceiling put him in the WR3/FLEX tier this Sunday.

Jan 1 2:10am ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) fought through an ankle injury for three catches on five targets and 28 yards in Sunday night's rough 33-10 defeat to the Green Bay Packers. Addison was limited in practice late in the week due to a sprained ankle that he suffered last Sunday, and he simply didn't do much in Week 17. It was tough night all around for the Vikings, though, watching their defense get torched and their offense voluntarily switch quarterbacks midgame. The 2023 first-rounder helped plug the hole left behind by Justin Jefferson's seven-game absence in the middle of the year, but he may have hit the proverbial rookie wall with only 30 catches for 372 yards and two touchdowns in his latest eight outings. Addison will get another shot at the Detroit Lions in Week 18 after catching just one pass before exiting against them in Week 16.

Dec 31 7:30pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) is active for Sunday's NFC North battle with the Green Bay Packers. The rookie sprained his right ankle in Week 16 versus the Detroit Lions and practiced in a limited capacity on Thursday and Friday. However, despite a questionable designation, there were reports Addison would be good to go, which is the case. The 21-year-old has had a fantastic 2023-24 campaign, amassing 63 catches for 826 yards and nine touchdowns. Fantasy managers should consider Addison a viable option in nearly all formats.

Dec 31 8:20am ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) had been listed as questionable but is expected to play in Week 17 versus the Green Bay Packers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The rookie has produced inconsistent results this season; he has delivered single-digit fantasy points in four of his last five games, but the one exception was an incredible Week 15 outing in which he caught six passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns. While he will continue to operate as the Vikings' No. 2 receiver behind Justin Jefferson, he should earn increased opportunities with T.J. Hockenson (knee) done for the season. Look for Addison to rank as a WR3/FLEX option in fantasy football this week.

Dec 29 2:40pm ET

Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) is officially listed as questionable to play on Sunday Night Football in Week 17 against the Green Bay Packers. Addison returned to a limited practice on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday, which gives him a chance to play this weekend following an ankle injury that he suffered in the Week 16 loss to the Detroit Lions. The 21-year-old first-rounder will be an extremely risky fantasy commodity during championship week because of his questionable tag and the fact that the Vikings play in the final game of the week. Minnesota is also moving to rookie quarterback Jaren Hall for this one, so it makes sense to play it safe and avoid Addison in Week 17. If he's inactive, K.J. Osborn, who had a big game in Week 16 after Addison got hurt, would serve as the No. 2 behind All-Pro Justin Jefferson.

Dec 28 9:40pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) was able to get back on the practice field on Thursday. The rookie wideout sat out on Wednesday, but returned for a limited session on Thursday. The fact Addison was able to practice at all is good news ahead of the Week 17 matchup against the Green Bay Packers. The Vikings are without tight end T.J. Hockenson (knee) for the rest of the season, so Addison should see increased involvement. If Addison sits, K.J. Osborn would see more action which would put him on the WR3 radar.

Dec 27 7:30pm ET

The Minnesota Vikings listed wide receivers Jordan Addison (ankle) and Jalen Nailor (concussion) as non-participants on their estimated practice report on Wednesday. Addison injured his ankle in the Week 16 loss to the Detroit Lions and was considered day-to-day by head coach Kevin O'Connell on Tuesday. Whether the 21-year-old can get back onto the practice field in the next two days will probably determine whether he can play in Week 17's divisional clash with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. If Addison is listed as questionable this week, it will make it even more difficult for fantasy managers to roll the dice on him. He had just one catch on four targets for a two-yard gain before leaving early on Sunday. K.J. Osborn, who had a big game against Detroit, would see his stock on the rise in Week 17 if Addison doesn't get cleared to play.

Dec 26 9:30pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) injured his ankle during a Week 16 loss to the Detroit Lions and did not return to action. His injury is being called day-to-day as the Vikings prepare to take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 17's Sunday night game. In speaking on Addison's injury, head coach Kevin O'Connell was unwilling to rule the talented rookie receiver out for his team's Week 17 contest. That being said, it will be worth monitoring Addison's participation in practices this week to give a better idea as to whether he will be available for the Vikings this Sunday. Stay tuned.

Dec 24 3:20pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. The rookie wideout was questionable to return after suffering an ankle injury in the first half. The Vikings have decided to play it safe and sit Addison for the rest of this game. This puts the Vikings offense in a bad spot with tight end T.J. Hockenson (knee) also sidelined. That means, Justin Jefferson, K.J. Osborn, and Brandon Powell should see much bigger roles in the second half of this game.

Dec 24 2:50pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) has walked to the locker room and is uncertain to return to Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. The rookie wideout suffered an ankle injury during the first half of this game and slowly was able to make his way into the locker room. Fantasy managers will have to wait until after halftime for another update on his status. The expectation is that Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn will see more involvement in the receiving game if Addison is unable to return.

Dec 23 2:30pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison will look to build on his 111-yard performance last week as the Vikings take on the Lions. Addison found the end zone twice, as he scored for the first time since Kirk Cousins (Achilles) has been sidelined. The Lions have struggled against the pass this year as they have allowed the 14th-most passing yards this season, so Addison could be in for another solid performance in this one. However, the USC product comes with some risk as he figures to be third in line for targets from quarterback Nick Mullens in this one. Fantasy managers should treat him as a FLEX option with some upside.

Dec 18 1:00pm ET

Minnesota Vikings' WR Jordan Addison scored 29.10 fantasy points in Saturday's Week 15 loss in Cincinnati. Addison caught six passes for 111 yards with two touchdowns. It's the 2nd time this season Addison scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Dynasty | Jordan Addison produced 111 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings week-15 loss to the Bengals. Dynasty Analysis: With Justin Jefferson back in the fold, Addison was able to produce again as the team's WR2. Addison mostly disappeared in recent weeks without Jefferson to draw double-teams as a defensive focus, but roamed free with the game's top wideout back in the fold. With three games remaining including a reported 56% chance to make the playoffs, Addison will look to end the regular season on a high note following a successful rookie campaign. He's listed as DLF's WR17.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Dec 16 4:50pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison hauled in all six of his targets for 111 yards and two touchdowns in Week 15, as the rookie got back on track in a major way. Addison found the end zone for the first time since Week 8, as he and quarterback Nick Mullens looked to be on the same page in this one. Addison still figures to be third in line for targets behind Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson moving forward, so fantasy managers shouldn't overreact to his performance in this one. The USC product should be valued as a FLEX option as we continue into the fantasy playoffs.

Minnesota's WR Jordan Addison had 6 receptions for 111 yards with two touchdowns in Saturday's loss in Cincinnati.

Dec 15 5:40pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison will look to get going in Week 15 as the Vikings take on the Bengals on Saturday afternoon. The rookie has had a tough second half to the season after coming out of the gate on fire in his first NFL action, as he has failed to find the end zone since Week 8. His volume hasn't been an issue since quarterback Kirk Cousins went down, as he has seen 33 targets in five games without his QB1. However, he has failed to eclipse 70 receiving yards in a single game since Week 8, which makes him an unreliable start with yet another new quarterback under center as Nick Mullens takes over as signal-caller. Addison is a low-end FLEX option at best as Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson figure to be ahead of him in line for targets.

From RotoBaller

Dec 10 8:00pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison had two catches for 27 yards in Sunday's win over the Raiders. The rookie was red-hot to begin the 2023-24 campaign. However, since Kirk Cousins (Achilles) went down in late October for the rest of the season, Addison hasn't found the end zone. At any rate, there's no denying Addison's abilities on the field. While the 21-year-old is no longer the must-start fantasy option he was earlier in the season, he can get it going whenever he's on the field, keeping him in the flex conversation for Week 15 against the Bengals, no matter who's under center for Minnesota. His stock will rise even more if Justin Jefferson (chest) can't suit up after exiting in his first appearance following a seven-game absence.

From RotoBaller

Dec 9 4:10pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison will be a risky play in Week 14 versus the Raiders, as All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson makes his way back into the Minnesota lineup. Addison has struggled to produce since quarterback Joshua Dobbs has been under center, as he has failed to find the end zone or surpass 70 yards in a game since Week 9. The rookie figures to be third in line for targets with Jefferson back in the mix, so he looks to be a risky FLEX option at best in Week 14. Fantasy managers should temper expectations for the USC product in this one.

From RotoBaller

Nov 28 12:40am ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison had a rough outing in Week 12's deflating 12-10 defeat to the division-rival Chicago Bears, but he managed a team-high 10 targets with six receptions for 39 yards. Addison nearly made an acrobatic 50-yard catch in traffic on Minnesota's first play from scrimmage, but the ball just popped out as he attempted to complete the process. Two of Addison's targets ended up being Joshua Dobbs interceptions, with one coming on an underthrown pass and another when Addison couldn't corral a bullet pass. It was perhaps a faint conclusion to Addison's run in the spotlight as Minnesota's featured wideout in the absence of Justin Jefferson (hamstring), who is likely to return by the time Dec. 10 comes around against the Las Vegas Raiders. Addison is averaging 4.5 catches (7.5 targets) for 51.0 yards over his last four games, having not found the end zone since netting seven touchdowns in his first eight career outings.
