Injuries have rearranged the Houston Texans' offense, leaving wide receiver Tank Dell as the team's top pass-catching option heading into a Thursday Night Football showdown at the New York Jets. The 25-year-old figures to see a significant, if temporary, role increase with fellow receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) set to miss a minimum of one more game and Stefon Diggs (knee) out for the season. Unfortunately for Houston, the Jets boast arguably the best cornerback tandem in football with Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed. Dell caught a touchdown last week and should see more targets, though this matchup isn't ideal, making him a low-end WR2 or flex option in Week 9.

Oct 27 5:20pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell found the end zone on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, the highlight of a day that included four catches for 35 yards. The second-year receiver caught all four of his targets, and unlike last week, hauled in a red-zone pass from quarterback C.J. Stroud for a seven-yard touchdown. Elsewhere, fellow wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) left the game with what appeared to be a serious injury. Top receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) is currently on injured reserve, so fantasy managers will have to monitor Houston's injury reports this week. Dell and the Texans take on the New York Jets in Week 9.

Oct 25 6:30pm ET

Coming off his worst game of the year, Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell is a boom-or-bust flex option in a decent matchup in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts. Fantasy managers who played the 24-year-old receiver last week got crickets: no catches on four targets, including a drop of a would-have-been touchdown. Houston remains committed to keeping him involved, however, and leading receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) is out at least two more weeks. The Colts have allowed 10 passing touchdowns in seven games and rank 26th in air yards allowed. Dell believers will feel he's due for a rebound in Week 8, but he comes with obvious risk.

Oct 21 9:50pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell posted a dud during Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers. Dell failed to haul in any of his four targets in the narrow defeat. Before that, Dell had 11 receptions for 95 yards and one touchdown over the two previous contests. After the game, quarterback C.J. Stroud acknowledged that they need to do a better job of getting Dell involved in the offense. The Texans desperately need Dell to step up with Nico Collins (hamstring) sidelined right now. The hope is that Dell bounces back after this which he should considering he does have a ton of potential. Fantasy managers should consider his bad performance as more of a fluke outing.

Oct 20 4:10pm ET

Coming off his best game of the season in Week 6, Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell followed with his worst in Week 7, finishing with zero catches on four targets in a 24-22 loss at Green Bay. The Houston offense finished with a season-worst 86 passing yards, and the second-year receiver wasn't involved at all. Sunday was another frustrating outing for fantasy managers who have hoped for more from Dell, who has 194 receiving yards in seven games. Houston will look for a better offensive performance in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Oct 18 1:20pm ET

Coming off his best game of the season, Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell is a solid flex option heading into a Week 7 matchup at Green Bay. The diminutive receiver drew a team-high nine targets in Week 6, which is no coincidence as Houston reconfigures its offense with top receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) on injured reserve. Green Bay ranks 22nd against fantasy wide receivers and 26th in air yards allowed, which are both green lights for a deep threat like Dell. Given his increased target share and Houston's penchant to use him creatively, the second-year receiver is worthy of a start for fantasy managers looking for flex production in Week 7.

Oct 13 4:30pm ET

After what has been a frustrating start to the season, Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell broke out Sunday at New England with seven catches for 57 yards and a touchdown on a team-high nine targets. The second-year receiver was involved early, finishing Houston's first drive with a two-yard touchdown reception, his first scoring play of the season. Houston will be without star wide receiver Nico Collins for at least three more weeks, so Dell's usage at New England could be a preview of the weeks to come. The former Houston Cougar will look for more production when the Texans travel to Green Bay in Week 7.

From RotoBaller

Oct 11 2:00pm ET

Fantasy managers who selected Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell haven't seen much production yet, but there's some hope that could change in Week 6 with Houston at New England. The second-year pass-catcher could be in line to improve on a disappointing 71st ranking among fantasy receivers, as team-leading wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) is set to miss at least the next month on injured reserve. Dell has at least four targets in every game in which he has appeared and also has carried the ball six times, however, so Houston at least seems committed to keeping him involved. He should be considered a boom-or-bust flex option with the Texans playing a decent New England pass defense.

Oct 6 4:50pm ET

The Houston Texans improved to 4-1 with a 23-20 defeat of Buffalo on Sunday, but wide receiver Tank Dell was only moderately involved with four catches for 38 yards. The second-year wide receiver caught all four of his targets and earned a carry, though he was corralled for a loss of five. It was another modest week for Dell, who is third on the team in targets behind fellow wide receivers Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs. With Collins (hamstring) sustaining an injury on Sunday, though, fantasy managers should be closely watching the Houston injury report ahead of Week 6 against New England.

Oct 4 3:20pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (concussion) missed the Week 4 win over the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars due to a concussion but he has cleared the league's protocol and will play in Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills. The Texans removed Dell from the final injury report on Friday after he upgraded to a full participant in practice. It's good news for a Houston offense that will be without starting running back Joe Mixon (ankle) for the third straight week. Dell impressed in his rookie season in 2023 with 709 yards and seven touchdowns on 47 catches in just 11 games, but so far in his sophomore campaign he's been playing third fiddle behind teammates Nico Collins and newcomer Stefon Diggs. There's no denying Dell's big-play abilities, but there is another big mouth to feed this year in Diggs. Dell has nine catches on 17 targets for 99 scoreless yards through three games and will be more of a boom/bust WR4/flex in his return against the Bills.

Oct 3 2:20pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (ribs) missed the Week 4 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a rib injury, but he practiced on Wednesday and is back on the field on Thursday ahead of the Week 5 showdown with the Buffalo Bills. His practice status this week is a good sign for him to return, but fantasy managers should follow his injury destinations for the rest of the week. In three games this year, Dell has caught just nine of his 17 targets for 99 yards and no touchdowns. It's early in the season, but it looks like he's the clear WR3 behind Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs in CJ Stroud's offense. The Bills have surrendered the second-fewest fantasy points per game to wideouts this year, so even if Dell is back in action on Sunday, he's riskier to start than ever. Fantasy managers in deep leagues might want to roll the dice on him in the flex spot, but managers in traditional setups can probably find a better option until Dell shows signs of life.

Oct 2 5:30pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (chest) was listed as limited in the team's first practice of the week on Wednesday. Dell is reportedly expected to return in Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills this Sunday after missing the Week 4 win over the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars. The fact that the 24-year-old is already back at practice is a great sign. Through the first four weeks of his second year in the NFL, Dell has been the clear No. 3 wideout in Houston behind Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs, which has limited his fantasy upside considerably as a WR4/flex. The former third-rounder in 2023 out of Houston has nine catches on 17 targets for 99 yards and no scores through his first three games in 2024. The Week 5 contest against Buffalo lines up as a potential shootout, so Dell will have boom/bust appeal if he returns on Sunday.

From RotoBaller

Sep 30 6:00pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (chest) is expected to play in Week 5 versus the Buffalo Bills, barring a setback this week, according to a source. Head coach DeMeco Ryans said on Monday that Dell will be "day-to-day" this week. "We'll see this week with a week of practice," Ryans said. Dell suffered a chest injury late in the Week 3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings and was held out of the Week 4 win over the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars, mostly as a precaution. The 24-year-old second-year wideout also suffered a hand/wrist injury, but it's believed to be minor. We'll have a better idea of Dell's status later this week after a few practices, but fantasy managers should be getting him back this Sunday. Dell had a season-best 62 receiving yards before getting hurt in Week 3, but he has been the clear No. 3 so far behind both Nico Collins and newcomer Stefon Diggs in 2024. In Weeks 1 and 2, he had four catches for 37 yards.

Sep 27 4:40pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (chest) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The sophomore wideout suffered a chest injury in last week's game against the Minnesota Vikings and was not able to log a practice throughout the week. Dell will now set his sights on returning in Week 5 when the Texans face the Buffalo Bills. The 24-year-old has had a modest start to the season but did post a season-best 62 yards in last week's game but has yet to find the end zone. Fantasy managers should expect Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs to see the majority of targets this weekend, with Robert Woods and Xavier Hutchinson rotating as the No.3 option.

From RotoBaller

Sep 27 1:30pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (chest) was not seen at the portion of Friday's practice that was open to the media. Dell also missed the first two practices of the week and is considered unlikely to play in Week 4 against the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars. Dell also injured his hand/wrist at the end of the Week 3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, but the good news is that none of his injuries are considered long-term. Check back later for Houston's final injury designations, but fantasy managers should be moving Dell to their benches for the week. Nico Collins (hamstring) also popped up on the injury report this week, but he appears to be fine to play. Both Collins and Stefon Diggs will have higher ceilings and floors this week if Dell is officially ruled out, as will struggling tight end Dalton Schultz. Dell has been the clear WR3 this year and has nine catches for 99 yards through three weeks.

From RotoBaller

Sep 26 1:40pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (chest), who was listed as day-to-day on Wednesday, is missing his second straight practice of the week on Thursday. Despite his day-to-day label, a report also surfaced on Wednesday that Dell was unlikely to play after getting banged up in the Week 3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The 24-year-old second-year pass-catcher is dealing with some sore ribs and also injured his hand/wrist last Sunday. It doesn't sound like his injuries are a long-term concern, but fantasy managers that were planning on starting him in Week 4 against the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars may need to reconsider. Dell may need to practice on Friday to avoid being ruled out entirely. If Dell is limited or out in Week 4, it will mean more targets for both Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins, and possibly tight end Dalton Schultz, who has been a disappointment so far through three weeks.

From RotoBaller

Sep 25 9:50pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (ribs, hand, wrist) is not expected to be available for the team's Week 4 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The second-year wideout suffered two injuries late in Houston's 34-7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings and did not return to the lopsided affair. Dell missed practice Wednesday and is listed as having a chest injury. It's worth noting that while he's been dubbed as unlikely to play, head coach DeMeco Ryans regards him as day-to-day and said, "We'll see how he continues to progress." It's a tough development for the 24-year-old as he's coming off his most productive game of the season, where he caught 5-of-6 targets for 62 yards. Fantasy managers will want to monitor his status closely ahead of the Week 4 home tilt. Expect wide receivers Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs to be in line for more work, with Robert Woods, Xavier Hutchinson, Steven Sims, and John Metchie III to mix in for supplemental snaps.

From RotoBaller

Sep 25 4:40pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (ribs) was deemed "day-to-day" at practice on Wednesday, according to Jonathan M. Alexander of the NFL. The sophomore wideout was dealing with soreness in his ribs following Sunday's game and was held out of practice on Wednesday as a result. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Dell's status throughout the week. In Week 3, the Houston product posted a season-high 62 receiving yards on five catches against the Minnesota Vikings. Dell has a favorable matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, who allowed 47 points on Monday to the Buffalo Bills, and Dell should be viewed as a WR3 with upside if he is able to suit up.

From RotoBaller

Sep 23 8:20pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (ribs) was dealing with soreness on Monday after taking a hit to his ribs in the Week 3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Dell isn't dealing with any structural damage, though, according to a league source. In addition to taking a hard hit to his ribs, Dell injured his hand/wrist late in the blowout loss to the Vikings. The 24-year-old could very well find himself on this week's injury report, but none of his injuries seem to be serious enough to keep him from playing in Week 4 versus the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars. Despite the injuries on Sunday, Dell had his best game of the year, catching five of six targets for 62 yards after going for four catches for just 37 receiving yards in the first two weeks of 2024. Dell proved last year that he has high-end playmaking ability, but so far this year, he's been more bust than boom while sharing targets with Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins.

From RotoBaller

Sep 8 8:13pm ET

Dynasty | New Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs had six catches for 33 yards and two touchdowns in his Houston debut. Dynasty Analysis: Diggs had six targets on the day, falling behind Nico Collins (8) and Tank Dell (7). He certainly made the most of them with the two touchdowns but it's also tough to look at this line and feel like it's sustainable enough to keep him on the WR1 line this year. Diggs is going to need to share targets each week and he honestly may be an early-season dynasty trade piece for savvy dynasty managers who see some up and down performances coming.
