The Jacksonville Jaguars signed free-agent wide receiver Chris Conley to an undisclosed deal on Saturday, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. The team also signed offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi and linebacker Jake Ryan. Conley spent the first four years of his career with the Chiefs and started 34 of 53 games while catching 104 passes for 1,238 yards and six touchdowns. The 26-year-old will likely compete for a role with the Jags and won't be fantasy relevant.
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed free-agent WR Chris Conley (Chiefs) Saturday, March 16, according to a source. Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
Fantasy Spin: The 26-year-old Conley had 32 receptions for 334 yards and five touchdowns for Kansas City last season. He will be battling the likes of Keelan Cole, Dede Westbrook and Marqise Lee in Jacksonville for targets and should be viewed as a possible late-round flier in deeper fantasy football leagues.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Chris Conley has collected a total of seven receptions over the last three weeks. Conley has been filling in for Sammy Watkins (foot), but he's done basically nothing over the last few weeks. Conley caught three of his five targets for 54 yards in the loss to the Seahawks. Fantasy owners can go ahead and ignore Conley at this point. He won't be worth a look in fantasy leagues or DFS contests for Week 17.
Kansas City Chiefs WR Chris Conley caught three of his five targets for 54 yards in Week 16 against the Seattle Seahawks. He also lost a fumble.
Fantasy Spin: Conley has established a bit of a regular niche role with Sammy Watkins continuing to recover from his foot injury, but it hasn't been enough to be relevant in fantasy. His fumble was inexcusable, holding the ball like a loaf of bread away from his body so Justin Coleman could punch it out near the end of the first half as Kansas City was attempting to put some points on the board. Conley should remain on fantasy benches until further notice.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Chris Conley has not been able to take advantage of his opportunity over the last two games. Conley was shut down by the Chargers on Thursday and has lost pretty much all his fantasy value. Conley caught two passes for 19 yards in the 29-28 loss to the Chargers. Conley has four total receptions over the last two games. Sammy Watkins (foot) has been sidelined, but Conley can't seem to make much happen as the No. 2 receiver. He's a WR4 against the Seahawks in Week 16. Most fantasy owners should be able to find a better option.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Chris Conley has seen his fantasy value increase over the last month due to Sammy Watkins (foot) being sidelined. Sadly, Conley only caught two passes for 13 yards last week, but he should rebound against the Chargers on Thursday. The Chiefs basically have no running game with Spencer Ware (hamstring, shoulder) likely to sit out. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is going to be asked to pass often, so Conley should get involved. He's a WR3 for Week 15, but he shouldn't have much more value than that.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Chris Conley caught 10 passes for 99 yards and three touchdowns over the last two games heading into Week 14. Conley was held in check versus the Ravens and was disappointing to many fantasy owners. Conley caught just two passes for 13 yards and was unable to find the end zone against the Ravens. Sammy Watkins (foot) being sidelined has helped Conley over the last few weeks. However, Conley doesn't seem trustworthy for the fantasy playoffs.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Chris Conley has put together back-to-back solid weeks due to the absence of Sammy Watkins (foot) who could be sidelined again in Week 14. Conley has caught 10 passes for 99 yards and three touchdowns over the last two games. Sadly for Conley, the Ravens defense has allowed the second fewest passing yards in the league this season, according to Yahoo. However, Conley does have some WR4/Flex appeal, assuming Watkins returns sidelined. Conley won't have basically any fantasy value if Watkins suits up.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Chris Conley was heavily involved in the Chiefs offense for the second straight week. Sammy Watkins (foot) has been sidelined, which is giving Conley some fantasy value right now. Conley hauled in three of his seven targets for 25 yards and a touchdown in the 40-33 victory over Oakland. Conley has WR3 value with Watkins sidelined, but will lose basically all of it once Watkins returns. If you're desperate for WR help then Conley could be the short term answer.
Kansas City Chiefs WR Chris Conley went for three receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown on seven targets in Week 13 against the Oakland Raiders.
Fantasy Spin: Conley was the best of the lot among the wideouts, as it was the tight ends who stole the show for the Kansas City offense in this one. At best Conley is a WR5 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 14 against the Ravens.
Kansas City's WR Chris Conley scored 26.40 fantasy points in Monday's Week 11 loss in Los Angeles Rams. Conley caught seven passes for 74 yards with two touchdowns. It's the 1st time this season Conley scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Chris Conley came out of nowhere and grabbed two touchdowns during the Monday night loss to the Rams. Conley has been quiet all season long then came out and hauled in seven receptions for 74 yards and two touchdowns in Week 11. Sammy Watkins (foot) left after the opening series, so that is why Conley saw that much action. Conley had a solid performance, but he should remain on the waiver wire, assuming Watkins is healthy for Week 13. Watkins has an entire week to heal up as the Chiefs head into their bye.
Kansas City Chiefs WR Chris Conley racked up seven receptions, 74 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 11 loss against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, Nov. 19.
Fantasy Spin: Conley equaled his touchdown total for the season, and he hadn't visited the end zone since Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers. Despite the big night he isn't someone to run out and grab in fantasy, as he entered with just three grabs for 51 yards over his past four outings and no more than 23 yards at any point this season. Plus, the Chiefs are off next week anyway.
Kansas City Chiefs WR Chris Conley should see more playing time Sunday, Nov. 11, with fellow WR Sammy Watkins (foot) inactive with a foot injury.
Fantasy Spin: Conley has been quiet with only four targets over the previous four games and 22 total in nine games this season, but with Watkins (and his 54 targets) set to miss his first game this season, Conley is a flex play with definite upside in one of one of the league's elite aerial attacks.
