The Carolina Panthers signed free-agent wide receiver Chris Hogan to an undisclosed one-year deal on Friday. The two-time Super Bowl champion with the Patriots can play outside or in the slot, and he tied DeSean Jackson in 2016 with 17.9 yards per catch. Hogan has 194 catches for 2,610 yards and 18 touchdowns in his career after being undrafted in 2011. He had just 35 receptions for 532 yards and three touchdowns as a deep threat for Tom Brady in 2018. It'll be hard for Hogan to carve out much of a role with his new team with D.J. Moore, Curtis Samuel and Jarius Wright all factoring in.

Mar 1 2:13pm ET

Impending free-agent Chris Hogan (Patriots) disappointed in 2018, but 'it sounds like teams around the NFL are not turned off' and give the New England Patriots 'some competition' if they want to bring him back, according to's Doug Kyed.

Feb 8 1:33am ET

New England Patriots WRs Cordarrelle Patterson and Chris Hogan could be allowed to leave via free agency, in the opinion of Forbes' J.P. Pelzman, who also believes the team could release LB Dont'a Hightower and S Devin McCourty to free up more than $15 million in salary cap space.

Jan 27 6:43pm ET

New England Patriots impending free-agent WR Chris Hogan could be an option for the New York Giants in free agency, in the opinion of SNY's Ralph Vacchiano.

Fantasy Spin: The Giants have Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard as their top two receivers but likely will look to add a No. 3 receiver this offseason. Hogan has played well at times over the last few seasons and could a late-round fantasy option in 2019 depending on his role.

Jan 25 9:43pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley and WR Tavon Austin and New England Patriots WR Cordarrelle Patterson and WR Chris Hogan could be options for the Detroit Lions in free agency, according to Nate Atkins of Atkins believes the Lions will want a veteran presence in the slot to pair with WR Kenny Golladay.

Jan 13 6:03pm ET

New England Patriots WR Chris Hogan caught three passes for 13 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers in the Divisional Round playoff game.

Fantasy Spin: Hogan was not a big factor during the second half of the regular season but has been targeted 16 times over the last two games. He could be a possible flex option in some fantasy leagues next week.

Dec 30 5:03pm ET

New England Patriots WR Chris Hogan caught six passes for 64 yards against the New York Jets in Week 17.

Fantasy Spin: Hogan was targeted 11 times against the Jets and likely will be more involved in the passing game with Josh Gordon suspended. He could be a flex option in some playoff fantasy leagues but is not a must-start option.

Dec 16 10:43pm ET

New England Patriots WR Chris Hogan finished with two grabs for 68 yards, including a 63-yard touchdown, in the Week 15 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Spin: Hogan was blanked last week, and in three of his past six outings, and the touchdown was his first foray into the end zone since Week 2. He is a very risky fantasy option heading into Week 16 despite his long scoring play.

Dec 16 8:20pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan caught two passes for 68 yards, including a 63-yard touchdown, in the Patriots Week 15 loss to the Steelers. Hogan sprung free on a broken play in the first quarter and easily scored to put the Patriots on the board. From there Hogan would see only two more targets in the game and the receiver hasn't produced more than two receptions in a game since October 21. Despite coming through with a big play, Hogan has been a disaster as a fantasy prospect this year. He should not be added heading into Week 16 against a tough Bills defense.

Nov 26 1:13am ET

New England Patriots WR Chris Hogan caught both of his targets for 47 yards in Week 12 against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Spin: Hogan's box-score contribution in Week 12 was his first in nearly a month. He turned out to be one of the biggest busts in fantasy this season and can be safely left on the waiver wire moving forward.

Nov 25 5:20pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan caught two passes for 47 yards in the Patriots 27-13 win over the Jets. Hogan broke out of a deep slump with receptions of 27 and 20 yards after failing to catch a pass in his previous two games. The arrival of teammate Josh Gordon has cut severely into Hogan's chances in the offense and now has only four catches over his last four games. Hogan is not worth a roster spot moving forward, especially against a tough Vikings defense in Week 13.

Nov 19 5:30pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan has completely fallen off the fantasy map heading into the team's Week 12 matchup against the Jets. Hogan has not made a catch since October 29 and has completely fallen out of favor within the offense. The return of Julian Edelman and acquisition of Josh Gordon have changed the dynamics of an offense that has struggled the past few weeks. Hogan is no longer worth a spot on fantasy rosters despite a matchup this week against a Jets defense that has allowed the sixth most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season.

Nov 8 2:50pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan will try and get back in the mix in Week 10 after failing to catch a pass last week against the Packers. After catching a combined nine touchdowns the past two seasons for the team Hogan has fallen far down the depth chart in the passing offense. In nine games this season, Hogan has only 23 catches for 333 yards and has more than two receptions in only two games this season. Hogan is quickly losing steam and it may be time to cut bait and find other options in fantasy despite an excellent matchup against the Titans in Week 10.

Oct 31 5:30pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan has improved over the last three weeks, posting 12 receptions for 190 yards during that span. Hogan is firmly behind James White, Julian Edelman, Josh Gordon and Rob Gronkowski in the passing game but continues to make a few plays each week. Hogan will go up against a Packers defense that has allowed 12 touchdowns to receivers through eight games. He certainly could make some plays in Week 9 but may not get enough targets to post a solid fantasy stat-line. Hogan is no more than a WR5/6 in Week 9.

Oct 30 12:30am ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan caught two passes for 49 yards in the Patriots throttling of the Bills 25-6. New England leaned heavily on the passing game to move the football but Hogan saw only two targets in the game, converting on both. Hogan's arrow has been pointing up recently in fantasy circles but he remains far down the pecking order of weapons from which quarterback Tom Brady can choose from. Hogan will be a low-floor WR5/6 next week against the Packers.

From RotoBaller

Oct 24 3:30pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan is back on the fantasy radar heading into the team's Week 8 matchup against the Bills. Hogan has 10 receptions for 141 yards over his last two games as he continues to work his way back into the flow of the offense. He will go up against a Bills defense that has allowed the third fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers. But they have allowed three receiving touchdowns over their last two games and Tom Brady is not your average quarterback. Hogan will be no more than a WR4/5 this week in fantasy but is slowly stringing together productive games and his fantasy value is slowly on the rise.
