2024 RTSports Outlook

A foot injury caused Brown to miss five games last season, but he was a very productive player his first season in Arizona. He had 67 receptions for 709 yards and three touchdowns. If he plays a full season, Brown goes for 95 receptions for 1,004 yards and four touchdowns. He had double-digit fantasy points six straight games to start his season. He wasn't the same player after returning from his foot injury, topping 50 yards just twice. He also had DeAndre Hopkins to compete with for targets, though. Brown could be the top target in his pass-heavy offense from day one this year with Hopkins gone. Brown is a home-run threat with the ball in his hands. He is great on deep routes and also does well on shorter passes, including screens. His route running has really improved since entering the league. Brown lacks a little strength and size, though, and can be inconsistent at times.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Brown won't score many touchdowns but he should really rack up the receptions this season. He is setup for a ton of targets. Consider him a solid No. 2 for fantasy teams. He can get around 90 receptions for 1,100 yards and seven touchdowns.

Dynasty | The Chiefs have signed wide receiver Marquise Brown to a one-year deal. Dynasty Analysis: Brown gets a one-year deal worth up to $11 million. It's a very fun signing for dynasty managers as the thought of.a true field stretcher being added to Patrick Mahomes and the offense of the reigning champions is certainly exciting. However, expectations should be tempered a bit as Kansas City is employing a more conservative attack as they've build their defense. Brown is also going to be fighting for targets with Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce moving forward. Brown is a candidate to be overdrafted but should be able to post WR2 numbers next season now that he has a golden opportunity ahead of him.

Mar 14 11:20pm ET

Free agent wide receiver Marquise Brown signed a one-year, $11 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday. Brown will pair with superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes and provide the Chiefs a big play wideout the team has been lacking since Tyreek Hill. Brown will be Kansas City's third option in the passing game behind Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice. He provides Mahomes with a reliable, speedy target and should bounce back in 2024 after managing 51 catches for 574 yards and four touchdowns with the Cardinals last season. It will be tough for Hollywood to replicate his final season with Baltimore, where he hauled in 91 passes for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns. Brown should see a fantasy boost with his new team and is borderline WR3 heading into early 2024 drafts.

Feb 20 12:50pm ET

Arizona Cardinals impending free-agent wide receiver Marquise Brown is set to leave in free agency this offseason, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. General manager Monti Ossenfort can upgrade the receiver position high in the draft, as the Cardinals have 13 overall picks in 2024. Brown, 26, finished last season on Injured Reserve due to a heel injury and played in 14 games in his second year in the desert. He finished with just 51 receptions on 101 targets for 574 yards and four touchdowns, and it didn't help that quarterback Kyler Murray got a late start to the season while rehabbing from a torn ACL in 2022. The former first-round pick of the Ravens in 2019 out of Oklahoma is an injury risk, but he could be a draft bargain in 2024 if he stays healthy and lands in a good situation.

Dec 29 12:10pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) has been placed on Injured Reserve, according to head coach Jonathan Gannon. It means that Brown will miss the final two games of the 2023 season after aggravating a heel injury in Week 15. Injuries were obviously partly to blame, but the 26-year-old had the worst season of his career in 2023, finishing with 51 catches for 574 yards and four touchdowns on 101 targets in 14 games. He ended up playing only three full games with quarterback Kyler Murray this year and only had one notable performance while working with Murray. There will be a lot of changes coming for the Cardinals franchise this offseason, and Brown could very well find himself playing somewhere else in 2024, especially since he'll be an unrestricted free agent in March.

Dec 28 9:00pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) was listed as a non-participant in practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Brown missed the Week 16 loss to the Chicago Bears and was lifted from his last two games early due to his heel injury. In fact, because of those early exits, the 26-year-old has not caught a pass since Week 12 (Arizona had a bye in Week 14). With nothing left to play for in 2023 besides draft positioning, the Cardinals have no reason to rush Brown back into the fold in these last two weeks of the regular season. Even if Brown were to return to practice on Friday and play this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, he'd be far too risky for fantasy managers to rely on with a championship on the line. Rondale Moore, Greg Dortch and rookie Michael Wilson could see added opportunities if Brown misses a second straight game.

Dec 27 7:40pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) was listed as a non-participant in the team's practice on Wednesday. Brown aggravated an ongoing heel injury in Week 15 and didn't practice last week or play in the Week 16 loss to the Chicago Bears. It doesn't look like the 26-year-old is on track to play this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles and he hasn't caught a pass since Week 12, so fantasy managers shouldn't be planning on relying on him as they battle for a championship this weekend. There's really no reason for the Cardinals to bring Brown back for the final two regular season games if he's not fully healthy. Another absence from Brown would create more opportunities for tight end Trey McBride and wideouts Rondale Moore, Greg Dortch and rookie Michael Wilson.

Dec 22 12:20pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) has been ruled out for Week 16 versus the Chicago Bears, head coach Jonathan Gannon announced. The injury limited Brown to just 32 percent of the Cardinals' offensive snaps last weekend, and he also missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. It's been a frustrating year for the 26-year-old who has just 51 catches, 574 yards, and four touchdowns through parts of 14 games. Rondale Moore, Greg Dortch, and Michael Wilson will all see increased opportunities with Brown sidelined this weekend, as will breakout tight end Trey McBride.

From RotoBaller

Dec 20 3:30pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) was not seen on the practice field in the portion open to the media on Wednesday. Brown was forced to exit early for the second straight game due to a heel injury in the Week 15 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, putting his status firmly up in the air for this Sunday's tilt against the Chicago Bears on the road. The 26-year-old had the Week 14 bye to heal up, but it didn't appear to really help him all that much after he was hurt again this past Sunday. Fantasy managers should consider Hollywood extremely volatile if he actually suits up this weekend. Brown has left early his last two games and hasn't caught a pass since Week 12. If he doesn't play in Week 16, expect Rondale Moore, rookie Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch to serve in three-receiver sets for Arizona.

Dec 20 1:00pm ET

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that wide receiver Marquise Brown's (heel) status for the Week 16 game against the Chicago Bears remains to be determined. However, potential bad weather in Chicago on Sunday won't play a factor in whether Brown suits up this weekend. The Cardinals are not in the playoff picture whatsoever, so there's no reason to rush the 26-year-old wideout back into the fold. Hollywood has been forced out early in each of the last two games and hasn't caught a pass since Week 12, so fantasy managers still playing for a title probably shouldn't plan on relying on his services in Week 16. If Brown doesn't play at all against the Bears, Rondale Moore, rookie Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch should operate in three-receiver sets, with tight end Trey McBride likely to lead the team in targets, catches and yards.

Dec 18 7:00pm ET

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that as of now, wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) is unlikely to be placed on Injured Reserve. Gannon also said the team will know more about the status of tight end Geoff Swaim (calf) by Wednesday. Brown injured his heel in the Week 13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers and then had the Week 14 bye to rest. However, he was still questionable for the Week 15 contest against the San Francisco 49ers. Hollywood suited up on Sunday but aggravated his heel injury, leaving his status for Week 16 against the Chicago Bears on Christmas Eve up in the air. Amidst his heel injury, the 26-year-old hasn't caught a pass since Week 12. Expect Brown to miss practice time this week, making him a pretty volatile fantasy asset during the semifinals in most leagues this week.

From RotoBaller

Dec 17 6:50pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) is questionable to return to Sunday's showdown with the 49ers. He was questionable heading into this one because of a heel issue, so there's a good chance he won't be back, especially with San Francisco's decisive lead in the fourth quarter. If Brown is officially ruled out, he'll finish without a target, with Trey McBride, Rondale Moore, and Greg Dortch the favorites to see a few extra looks from Kyler Murray.

From RotoBaller

Dec 15 6:40pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) is currently listed as questionable for the upcoming Week 15 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Brown sat out practice to open the week, but was able to get in two limited sessions after that. It sounds like he's trending in the right direction, but doesn't appear to be fully healthy yet. His fantasy value has taken a hit since Kyler Murray returned under center. Fantasy managers should consider Brown a low-end WR3, assuming he suits up this weekend.

From RotoBaller

Dec 14 2:00pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) was back at practice on Thursday after being a non-participant in Wednesday's session coming off the team's bye in Week 14. Brown was dealing with a heel injury the two previous weeks before the bye but was able to play, although he left the Week 13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers early and didn't catch a single pass on only three targets. The 26-year-old should have a good chance to suit up in Week 15 against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers, although he may not be 100 percent in a tough matchup. Brown hasn't exactly been great for fantasy managers since quarterback Kyler Murray returned in Week 10, either, so he'll be on the WR3/4 borderline against San Fran despite catching seven passes (10 targets) for a season-high 96 yards in the first meeting against the Niners back in Week 4.

From RotoBaller

Dec 13 9:30pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) did not practice on Wednesday. Brown's inability to practice coming off a Week 14 bye is a slight concern heading into a Week 15 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. That being said, Brown still has chances on Thursday and Friday to return to the practice field. If Brown doesn't end up playing, it would upgrade the prospects of Rondale Moore, Greg Dortch, and Michael Wilson (shoulder), assuming Wilson returns from a shoulder injury that has sidelined him the past few games.

From RotoBaller

Dec 3 3:50pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) is officially questionable to return against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. At the time of his departure, Brown had commanded three targets but did not have a reception. Michael Wilson (shoulder) is also out, so the Cardinals will lean on Trey McBride, Rondale Moore, and Greg Dortch in the passing game until Brown can return.

From RotoBaller

Dec 3 11:40am ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) is officially active for the Week 13 game on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Meanwhile, fellow wideout Zach Pascal (personal) has been ruled out. Brown didn't practice all week but took a questionable tag into Sunday morning. The 26-year-old was expected to play, and fantasy managers will be hoping that he can build on a nice performance in last week's blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams, when he had six catches for 88 yards on 12 targets. Brown did very little in quarterback Kyler Murray's first two games back from Injured Reserve, but last week's performance gives hope that Brown will continue gaining chemistry with Murray in the final six regular season games of 2023.

From RotoBaller

Dec 3 1:20am ET

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) is projected to suit up for Sunday's game versus the Steelers. The 26-year-old has battled a lingering heel injury and missed some practices during the week. Yet, he battled the same issue ahead of the Week 12 clash with the Rams but still put together one of his best performances of the season by catching six of his 12 targets for 88 yards. That said, Brown hasn't been the most reliable fantasy asset throughout the 2023-24 campaign. But there's no denying his upside, so fantasy managers should classify him as a flex option, at the very least, for Week 13.

From RotoBaller

Dec 1 3:30pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receivers Marquise Brown (heel) and Zach Pascal (personal) are both listed as questionable for Week 13 against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Brown was said to be trending in the right direction to play this weekend, but it's concerning that he didn't practice all week. Rookie Michael Wilson (shoulder) will miss his third straight game for the Cardinals. If the 26-year-old Brown is active on Sunday, he'll be looking to keep the momentum going after recording his best performance after two clunkers with quarterback Kyler Murray back from Injured Reserve. If Brown is out or limited, Rondale Moore and Greg Dortch would both have expanded roles and be worthy of flex consideration, especially in a Week 13 with six teams on bye. Tight end Trey McBride (groin) is also in danger of missing Sunday's game for Arizona.

From RotoBaller

Dec 1 12:10pm ET

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) has been out of practice while getting healthy and is "trending in the right direction" to play in the Week 13 contest on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Cardinals have already ruled out rookie Michael Wilson (shoulder) for the third straight game. Tight end Trey McBride (groin) is also questionable to play this weekend, but Gannon said the team's upcoming bye in Week 14 won't impact the decisions on whether Brown and McBride will face Pittsburgh. Brown played through his heel injury last week and had six catches on 12 targets for 88 yards in the loss to the Los Angeles Rams. It sounds like the 26-year-old is on the right side of questionable, and if he's active, he could easily have another big game as Arizona's No. 1 wideout.

From RotoBaller

Nov 30 2:40pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) missed a second consecutive practice on Thursday. Brown was dealing with a heel issue ahead of Week 12 but played through the pain to rack up six catches for 88 yards, his biggest yardage output since his 96-yard day against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4. Brown's production has been lacking in recent weeks, in spite of the return of Kyler Murray in Week 10. Assuming Brown is healthy for Week 13, he will likely be the focus of the Cardinals' passing attack with Michael Wilson (shoulder) and Trey McBride (groin) both ailing.
