Unfortunately, the only thing Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett caught this week was the flu. Lockett was one of nearly a dozen Seahawks that were hit by the bug this week, and combined with the shin contusion that is likely still hampering him slightly, Lockett looked out of sorts all night against Minnesota. He failed to haul in any of the three passes thrown his way, the first time he's been left without a single grab in nearly two years. Hopefully, another week of recovery will allow Lockett to come back with a vengeance against the Rams next weekend.
Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett went without a catch on three targets in Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Fantasy Spin: It was a big disappointment for Lockett, who will look to bounce back in Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams on the road.
Updating a previous story, Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin/illness) didn't participate in practice Saturday, Nov. 30, but is expected to play Monday, Dec. 2, against the Minnesota Vikings.
Fantasy Spin: It's a tough matchup for Lockett but he'll need to be locked in as a WR2 as long as he doesn't suffer any further setbacks.
Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin/illness) was taken off the Week 13 injury report Saturday, Nov. 30.
Fantasy Spin: Lockett has a tough matchup this week against the Minnesota Vikings but he'll need to be in lineups as a WR2 as the target hog in the Seattle passing attack.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett (illness, shin) was taken off the final injury report for Monday night against the Vikings. After two straight 100-yard performances on Oct. 27 and Nov. 3, Lockett followed that up with just four catches for 64 yards the last two weeks against the Eagles and 49ers. Another tough matchup awaits in Minnesota on Monday night, but Lockett still has WR1 upside on a weekly basis. Just don't expect double-digit targets -- that's happened just three times in this run-first offense. Lockett has plenty of upside on a weekly basis, but the floor is pretty low, too.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett (illness, shin) did not practice on Friday after being limited on Thursday. Lockett should be fine for Monday night against the Seahawks, but you'll want to check his final injury designation on Saturday. If he's good to go, Lockett will have WR1 upside, as usual. Wide receivers D.K. Metcalf (knee) and Josh Gordon (ankle) were both full participants on Friday after being limited on Thursday. Metcalf will be on the RB2/3 borderline in Week 13, while Gordon is too tough to trust in most leagues in this run-first offense. Tight end Jacob Hollister (toe) has been limited this week and should also be good to go.
Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin, illness) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 29.
Fantasy Spin: It appears that Lockett is one of several players dealing with an illness, but he probably will still be ready to play if he recovers over the next few days. He should be a starting option in all leagues if he plays.
Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 28.
Fantasy Spin: Lockett has been limited to four receptions and 64 yards over the last two games but should be more involved in the passing game this week. He should be a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues this week.
Seattle Seahawks FB Nick Bellore (quad), OT Duane Brown (biceps), TE Luke Willson (hamstring), DT Al Woods (ankle), DE Jadeveon Clowney (core), DT Jarran Reed (ankle), CB Neiko Thorpe (groin), OG Mike Iupati (neck) and LB Shaquem Griffin (illness) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 28. TE Jacob Hollister (toe), WR Tyler Lockett (shin), WR D.K. Metcalf (knee), WR Josh Gordon (ankle), Shaquill Griffin (non-injury), S Quandre Diggs (hamstring), LB K.J. Wright (shoulder, knee) and LB Bobby Wagner (non-injury) were limited. Seattle did not hold a practice Thursday, so all designations are estimates.
Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (leg) was unable to go at full speed Tuesday, Nov. 26, according to head coach Pete Carroll, who anticipates Lockett will feel much better with a long week of preparation and predicts that 'he's going to be flying' in Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Fantasy Spin: Carroll is typically over the top with his optimism regarding his players' injuries, but it makes sense Lockett would feel better almost three weeks after a severe leg bruise required him to be hospitalized for short time. It's doubtful an extra day of rest will make that much of a difference (the Seahawks play at home on Monday), but owners should look forward to a big day from Lockett if he is close to 100 percent as he faces the struggling secondary of the Vikings.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett was fully cleared by the doctors for his shin contusion before hitting the field on Sunday, but he didn't play a huge role as he only hauled in one pass on the day. Granted, that pass was for 38 yards, enough to lead the team's receiving corps in yards for the day, but only one catch is far from ordinary for Lockett. Head coach Pete Carroll and quarterback Russell Wilson seemed to team up to give unexpected attention to backup players on Sunday, letting Rashaad Penny play the role of primary running back and fifth-string wideout Malik Turner being targeted for a deep pass on a flea flicker. Expect Lockett to get more of his regular chances next Monday when the Vikings come to town.
Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett ended up with just one catch for a team-high 38 yards on two targets in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fantasy Spin: Lockett exploded for 13 grabs, 152 yards and two scores on Nov. 3 against Tampa Bay, but he has just four grabs, 64 yards and six targets in the past two games. That type of inconsistent production is what drives fantasy owners made. Treat him as a WR4 or flex fantasy option heading into Week 13 for a tough matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 22, but is not on the injury report for Week 12.
Fantasy Spin: Lockett probably will receive his normal workload this week and is one of the better receivers in the NFL. He is a must-start option in all leagues as long as he does not suffer a setback over the next few days.
Seattle Seahawks TE Luke Willson (hamstring) was unable to practice all week and is listed as doubtful for Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles. DE Jadeveon Clowney (knee, hip) also did not practice all week, while CB Neiko Thorpe (groin) missed practice for a second straight day Friday, Nov. 22; both players are listed as questionable. OT Duane Brown (knee, biceps) did not practice Friday but has been removed from the injury report. WR Tyler Lockett (shin) and DT Jarran Reed (ankle, groin) were limited Friday but also no longer appear on the injury report. S Lano Hill (elbow), QB Russell Wilson (hamstring), S Quandre Diggs (hamstring), PK Jason Myers (hip), DE Quinton Jefferson (hip, ankle), OG Mike Iupati (rest, foot), LB K.J. Wright (shoulder) and OT George Fant (knee) practiced in full Friday and have also been cleared to play.
Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) did well in practice and is 'ready to go' for Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to head coach Pete Carroll.
Fantasy Spin: Carroll expressed optimism about Lockett's status shortly after he suffered a leg bruise in Week 10 that required a short hospital stay, and it turns out it was well-founded. It also appears the bye week served his top receiver well. Philadelphia's pass defense has played better of late - admittedly against some struggling passing attacks - but the combination of the Eagles' solid run defense and Lockett's hefty target share should keep him solidly in the WR1 discussion this week.
Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 21.
Fantasy Spin: Lockett should be fine following Seattle's Week 11 bye. He's just two games removed from his monster 13-catch, 152-yard, two-touchdown performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he has another great matchup this week against the secondary of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players will need to monitor Lockett's practice participation during the week to see if he will be able to play in Week 12. He should be a starting option in all leagues if he is active for the game.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett (leg) will not practice on Wednesday, but he could be limited on the field on Thursday. Coming out of the bye week, head coach Pete Carroll expects Lockett to play in Week 12 against the Eagles. He was a bust in Week 10 after going off for 152 yards and two touchdowns in Week 9, but Lockett always has WR1 upside with MVP candidate Russell Wilson throwing him passes. The volume isn't always there in this run-first offense, but Lockett could easily break a big play or two against Philly's secondary this Sunday. Check back on Thursday to see if Lockett returns to the practice field. If he does, he should be on track to play this weekend.
Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (leg) is making progress in his recovery but will need to make it through practice this week if he wants to play in Week 12.
Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players will need to monitor Lockett's practice participation this week to see if he is in any danger of missing the Week 12 game. He should be a starting option in all leagues if he plays.
Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) returned to Seattle on Wednesday, Nov. 13, after spending the previous two nights in the hospital, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Lockett is expected to be ready to play when the team returns from its bye on Sunday, Nov. 24.
Fantasy Spin: Seattle's bye came at the right time for Lockett, who gets 13 days to recover from his shin contusion. There's unlikely to be more news on his injury this week but do keep an eye on things next week just to ensure everything is proceeding as planned.
