2024 RTSports Outlook

Brown had a career best season, getting a chance to play a much bigger role in the Cowboys offense. He started 13 games and had 43 receptions for 555 yards and three scores. He was 61st overall in fantasy receiver scoring. He had a few big games, topping 20 fantasy points two times. He had five games total with double-digit fantasy points. Last season was the first time Brown had more than 20 receptions in a season. Brown signed with the Texans this offseason and likely serves as their No. 3 or 4 fantasy receiver. Brown has good size for the position and can cause some matchup issues because of that. He does not separate well, though, and lacks a little speed for the position.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Brown might have a hard time repeating his numbers from last year, especially since he is moving to a worse passing attack. He might be worth a roster spot in deeper formats. He could get 30 receptions for 400 yards and a score or two.

Updating a previous report, impending free-agent WR Noah Brown (Texans) agreed to terms on a one-year contract worth $5 million to remain with the Houston Texans on Monday, March 11.

From TheHuddle

Mar 11 10:10pm ET

The Houston Texans have re-signed wide receiver Noah Brown to an undisclosed deal on Monday, according to a source. In his first year with the Texans in 2023, Brown put up 33 receptions on 55 targets for a career-high 567 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 10 regular-season games (seven starts). The 28-year-old wideout should be able to do more in a full season of play with impressive young quarterback C.J. Stroud throwing him passes, but Brown will also be behind Nico Collins and Tank Dell on the receiver depth chart. Brown probably won't be a draft target outside of deeper leagues this fall, but he'd be a very popular waiver-wire pickup if Collins or Dell were to miss extended time due to injuries in 2024.

Impending free-agent WR Noah Brown (Texans) agreed to terms with the Houston Texans Monday, March 11, according to sources. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Fantasy Spin: Brown was productive in the passing game when healthy this past season and probably will be the No. 3 receiver behind Nico Collins and Tank Dell in 2024. He should see a decent amount of targets in each game next season and could be a flex option against certain opponents.

From TheHuddle

Jan 15 2:33pm ET

Houston Texans WR Noah Brown (shoulder) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Jan. 15.

Fantasy Spin: Brown will likely miss the remainder of the postseason and will enter free agency after a solid season. This means more targets for Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz, both of which are solid starting options in playoff leagues.

From TheHuddle

Jan 15 2:20pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Noah Brown (shoulder) is being placed on Injured Reserve ahead of the team's Divisional Round game against the Baltimore Ravens or Kansas City Chiefs. The 28-year-old was on the injury report often this season with knee and back injuries, and he suffered a shoulder injury in the Wild Card win over the Cleveland Browns. Although Brown often played second or third-fiddle to Nico Collins and Tank Dell (leg), he delivered two games of over 150 receiving yards in 2023. Overall, Brown accumulated 33 receptions for 567 yards and two touchdowns in his first year as a Texan. He is a free agent this offseason. Moving forward, Collins, Robert Woods, John Metchie III, and Xavier Hutchinson will have to step up at wideout. Tight ends Dalton Schultz and Brevin Jordan will also be candidates to see more targets.

From RotoBaller

Jan 13 6:43pm ET

Houston Texans WR Noah Brown (shoulder) was ruled out for the remainder of the wild-card playoff game against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday, Jan. 13.

From TheHuddle

Jan 13 6:30pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Noah Brown (shoulder) has been downgraded to out during Saturday's playoff game against the Cleveland Browns. Brown was forced to exit during the first half of Saturday's game and officially won't return. He'll finish the night with zero receptions on one target. The Texans will now need to lean on fellow wideouts Nico Collins and Robert Woods for the rest of this contest. The team should give a better timetable on Brown's status following the game.

From RotoBaller

Jan 13 5:10pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Noah Brown (shoulder) is currently listed as questionable to return to Saturday's playoff matchup against the Cleveland Browns. This is a tough break for the Texans as Brown suffered a shoulder injury during the first quarter of this contest. The team will obviously further evaluate the severity of the issue before deciding if Brown can return. In the meantime, Nico Collins and Robert Woods figure to have bigger roles in the passing game for the Texans.

From RotoBaller

Jan 13 3:50pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Noah Brown (back) is available for the upcoming Wild-Card matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Brown didn't practice to start the week, but was able to get in a limited session on Thursday. The Texans will be happy to have Brown back in the mix after he sat out in the regular season finale. This season, Brown recorded 33 receptions for 567 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games. He could be worth a look as a possible DFS option for this weekend.

From RotoBaller

Jan 13 3:13pm ET

Houston Texans WR Noah Brown (back) is active for the wild-card game against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday, Jan. 13.

Fantasy Spin: Brown has posted some big games this season but has been quiet for the most part over his last five contests. He isn't a suggested lineup option for the playoff game against the Browns.

From TheHuddle

Jan 12 11:10pm ET

Houston Texans wide receivers Noah Brown (back) and Robert Woods (hip) are expected to be active for Saturday's wild-card playoff contest versus the Cleveland Browns despite being listed as questionable on Thursday's final injury report, according to a league source. As long as pre-game warmups go smoothly, the Texans should have both Brown and Woods available. That would be good news for rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, who faces a tough matchup against a Browns defense that is one of the best in the league. In his first year with the Texans, Brown caught 33 passes for 567 yards and two touchdowns, while Woods had 40 catches, 426 yards and one touchdown. Nico Collins is Houston's clear No. 1 wideout, and Brown and Woods are both risky low-cost DFS dart throws in a bad matchup after sitting out the Week 18 regular season finale.

From RotoBaller

Jan 12 7:53pm ET

Houston Texans WR Noah Brown (back) is making good progress in his recovery and appears likely to play in the Wild Card playoff game unless he suffers a setback during pregame warmups, according to sources.

Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players will need to check the inactive list for Brown's official status. He probably will see a handful of targets if he plays and can be a flex option in most fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Jan 11 8:23pm ET

Houston Texans WR Noah Brown (back) and WR Robert Woods (hip) are expected to be game-time decisions for the Wild Card playoff game.

Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players will need to check the inactive list to see if Brown and Woods will be able to play in the game. Both will see a handful of targets if they are active and can be flex options in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Jan 11 6:40pm ET

Houston Texans wide receivers Robert Woods (hip) and Noah Brown (back) are both listed as questionable to play in Saturday's wild-card playoff game against the Cleveland Browns. Woods was limited the last two days in practice, while Brown only practiced on Friday. Both players were held out of the Week 18 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Woods is more likely to be on the field on Saturday to give Nico Collins some extra help in the passing game against a Browns secondary that is already down Grant Delpit and could also be missing two key members of their secondary. The 31-year-old Woods did very little all year and found the end zone just once, so he's merely a low-cost DFS dart throw if he plays. Brown would be a boom/bust lineup consideration if he's active on Saturday. Only Collins and tight end Dalton Schultz are realistic fantasy considerations as Texans pass-catchers this weekend.

From RotoBaller

Jan 11 5:33pm ET

Houston Texans WR Noah Brown (back) was limited during practice Thursday, Jan. 11, and is listed as questionable for the Wild Card playoff game.

Fantasy Spin: Brown returned to practice Thursday and may be a game-time decision for the Wild Card game. He will see a decent amount of targets in the passing game if active and can be a possible flex option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Jan 10 5:33pm ET

Houston Texans WR Noah Brown (back) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jan. 10.

Fantasy Spin: Brown may be facing an uphill battle after missing the first two practices of the week. Fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation but should not count on having Brown available.

From TheHuddle

Jan 10 4:10pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Noah Brown (back) was not seen on the practice field on Wednesday. It's the second straight day of practice that Brown has missed to open wild-card week. Brown also missed the Week 18 regular season finale against the Indianapolis Colts last Saturday, so he's going to need to get back on the practice field on Friday to have a shot at facing the Cleveland Browns in Saturday's playoff game. Even if Brown returns to practice on Friday and plays against Cleveland, he'll be a low-upside, low-cost DS option against a Browns defense that is getting healthier for the postseason. In Week 15 against Houston, Brown caught a season-high eight passes for 82 yards and his second touchdown of the year on 11 targets. Houston's receiving corps is beat up heading into the playoffs, with both Brown and Robert Woods (hip) up in the air to play.

From RotoBaller

Jan 9 7:50pm ET

Houston Texans wide receivers Robert Woods (hip) and Noah Brown (back) were both listed as non-participants on the team's Tuesday practice report. Both Woods and Brown were inactive in the Week 18 regular season finale win over the Indianapolis Colts last Saturday to secure the AFC South title. It resulted in Nico Collins going off for nine catches on nine targets for 195 yards and a touchdown, while tight end Dalton Schultz had five catches (seven targets) for 42 yards. Rookie Xavier Hutchinson had four targets. Woods and Brown will need to return to practice over the next two days to have a shot to face the Cleveland Browns on wild-card weekend this Saturday. If neither wideout is able to play, Collins is going to draw a lot of attention from a much better secondary in the Browns.

From RotoBaller

Jan 9 5:33pm ET

Houston Texans WR Noah Brown (back) did not practice Tuesday, Jan. 9.

Fantasy Spin: Brown was inactive for the Week 18 finale against the Indianapolis Colts. Be sure to check back later in the week to get an update on his status.

From TheHuddle

Jan 6 7:53pm ET

Houston Texans WR Noah Brown (back) was declared inactive for the Week 18 game against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, Jan. 6.

Fantasy Spin: With Brown and Robert Woods (hip) both inactive, Nico Collins should be heavily targeted in this game, but the other wide receivers for Houston shouldn't be considered.
