Cincinnati Bengals QB Jeff Driskel went 12-of-24 for 95 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Week 17 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was sacked four times but ran for 13 yards on two carries.
Fantasy Spin: Injuries to A.J. Green and later to Tyler Boyd did not help his cause, but Driskel proved to be pretty much what most people thought he was in his first extended opportunity at NFL playing time following the season-ending injury to Andy Dalton back in Week 12. Assuming he remains on the roster in 2019, he'll go back to clipboard duty.
Cincinnati Bengals QB Jeff Driskel went 13-for-19 for 133 yards and two touchdowns against the Cleveland Browns in Week 16. He also rushed for 21 yards on five carries during the game.
Fantasy Spin: Driskel has been held to under 200 yards in each of his last three games but does have four touchdowns and only one interception during that span. He should not be a starting option next week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Cincinnati Bengals QB Jeff Driskel completed just 14-of-33 passes for 130 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 15 against the Oakland Raiders and he rushed for 32 yards.
Fantasy Spin: Driskel didn't do much, but all he really needed to do was hand it to Joe Mixon and he did the rest. Driskel shouldn't be on anyone's fantasy radar heading into Week 16 in Cleveland.
The Oakland Raiders defense/special teams had a rough day against the Bengals and their backup quarterback Jeff Driskel. They were able to sack Driskel one time while adding one interception but allowed over 20 points in this loss. This means the Raiders have allowed over 20 points in every single game this season, making them one of the worst defenses in the entire league.
Oakland Raiders defense/special teams are a punt option this week against the Bengals. They will be facing off against the Bengals backup quarterback Jeff Driskel, who only has three touchdowns in his last three games, along with one interception. The Raiders have been able to generate multiple interceptions in two of their last four games, so there is a bit of turnover upside in this matchup.
Cincinnati Bengals QB Jeff Driskel (shoulder) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 14 and he was removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 15 game against the Oakland Raiders.
Fantasy Spin: Driskel continues to start with Andy Dalton (thumb) done for the season, so the Bengals get a chance to evaluate him for the future. However, fantasy owners should steer far clear of him, even against a Raiders pass defense allowing an NFL-high 31 passing scores this season.
Cincinnati Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict (concussion) and CB KeiVarae Russell (finger) did not practice Friday, Dec. 14. Burfict was ruled out for the Week 15 game against the Oakland Raiders, while Russell is listed as doubtful. DE Michael Johnson (concussion), CB Dre Kirkpatrick (ankle) and CB Tony McRae (concussion) were limited participants and are listed as questionable. OT Bobby Hart (knee) was a limited participant, while QB Jeff Driskel (shoulder), WR Alex Erickson (shoulder) and OT Cordy Glenn (back) each practiced in full and were removed from the injury report.
Cincinnati Bengals QB Jeff Driskel (shoulder) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 13.
Fantasy Spin: Driskel has thrown three touchdowns in the last three games but has also been held to under 200 yards in two of those three games. Owners in all leagues should have better options available and should avoid Driskel.
Cincinnati Bengals QB Jeff Driskel (shoulder) participated fully in practice Wednesday, Dec. 12.
Fantasy Spin: Driskel is what some might call a sneaky start against one of the worst fantasy pass defenses this year in the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders have surrendered the most passing touchdowns (30) in 2018, so Driskel is at the very worst a cheap DFS play.
Los Angeles Chargers rookie linebacker Uchenna Nwosu came up big in Sundays game against Cincy to help seal the win. With 30 seconds left to go in the game and the Chargers up by five, Nwosu made an incredible speed rush to bring Bengals quarterback Jeff Driskel to the ground and end the Bengals final drive before it had the chance to get rolling. Nwosu and the rest of the defense really picked it up against Cincinnati to bail out an offense that surprisingly struggled. The Chargers defense has held opponents to less than 24 points in eight of their last nine games, and theyre a solid play in most weeks. They should probably be avoided this Thursday when the face the Chiefs though.
Cincinnati Bengals QB Jeff Driskel went 18-for-27 for 170 yards and a touchdown during the team's Week 15 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Fantasy Spin: To be fair, Driskel had a running TD wiped away on a bizarre interpretation of a new rule that ended his progress just short of the goal line, but even with that it would've been a middling day. There's nothing to see here. Move along.
Cincinnati Bengals left tackle Cordy Glenn (back), linebacker Vontaze Burfict (concussion) and cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (ankle) have all been ruled out for Week 14 against the Chargers. Glenn also missed last week against the Broncos, and quarterback Jeff Driskel had very little time to throw in the pocket. That should also be the case this Sunday against a very good Chargers pass rush. Cincy's defense has been beat up for much of the year and has been bleeding yards and points most of the season. LA's offense should have a very good game.
Cincinnati Bengals tight endC.J. Uzomah scrounged up 33 yards off of five receptions during Sunday's loss to Denver. The 25-year-old was targeted by quarterback Jeff Driskel a healthy seven times, but only ended up with a meager 6.6 yards per reception. However, with 19 looks over the past two weeks to go along with a combined 11 catches during that span, Uzomah should get some attention from fantasy managers who are in need of a tight end based on the volume of his targets alone.
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Jeff Driskel did his best in the loss to the Broncos on Sunday, finishing the afternoon with 236 yards and a touchdown on 25-for-38 passing. Though he threw a pick as well, he remained relatively accurate, completing 65.8 percent of his passes while working with limited options on the offensive side of the ball. The 25-year-old has looked good considering, but with the loss of wide receiver A.J. Green, presumably for the remainder of the season, Driskel's fantasy outlook doesn't look promising over the next four weeks.
Cincinnati Bengals QB Jeff Driskel completed 25-of-38 passes for 236 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos.
Fantasy Spin: Driskel was under pressure frequently while being dropped for four sacks. It won't get any easier for Driskel and the skidding Bengals as they take on the Chargers in Week 14.
Cincinnati Bengals left tackle Cordy Glenn (back) is doubtful for Week 13 against the Broncos. Glenn's replacement, Jake Fisher, was put on Injured Reserve on Thursday, so Cincy is hurting on the left side of the line. It's bad news for backup quarterback Jeff Driskel and good news for a Broncos defense that is worth a start this weekend.
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Jeff Driskel was forced to come in and start for Andy Dalton (thumb) during Sunday's loss to the Browns. Dalton left early during Week 12 after suffering a sprained thumb while diving for a ball. Driskel played surprisingly well in the absence of Dalton. He went 17-for-29 with 155 passing yards and a touchdown. Dalton's status for Week 13 is uncertain, so Driskel could draw the start against the Broncos. He won't be anything more than a risky QB2 if he gets the start.
Cincinnati Bengals QB Jeff Driskel completed 17-of-29 passes for 155 yards, one touchdown and no interception in Week 12 against the Cleveland Browns, coming on for the injured QB Andy Dalton (thumb).
Fantasy Spin: It's uncertain if Dalton will need to miss playing time, but if he starts Driskel isn't a terribly attractive fantasy option heading into Week 13 against the Denver Broncos.
