Carolina Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble hasn't done much for fantasy managers this season. While he had five catches (eight targets) for 42 yards and a touchdown in the Week 4 loss to the New England Patriots, he has been nearly irrelevant from a production standpoint. Ja'Tavion Sanders (ankle) is listed as questionable heading into the Week 6 meeting with the Dallas Cowboys, so there's a chance he won't be out there once again. Sure, the potential for added involvement should increase Tremble's fantasy potential. Still, even if Sanders remains sidelined, fantasy managers will be taking a gamble by rolling with the 25-year-old as their starting tight end for the favorable matchup with the Cowboys. especially with Xavier Legette in the mix.

Carolina Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble is currently in line to make another start in Week 5 against the Miami Dolphins. The Panthers will be without Ja'Tavion Sanders (ankle) again this weekend, so Tremble will be asked to make another start. Last week, Tremble hauled in five of his eight targets for 42 yards and a touchdown in the loss. The 25-year-old saw 75 percent of the offensive snaps. This was a nice performance from Tremble, but it's unclear if he can do it again. It's worth noting that wide receiver Xavier Legette (hamstring) is back in the mix after a two-game absence. It's tough to imagine Tremble getting eight targets again, but there should still be TE2 value here.

Carolina Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble (back) was activated from the physically unable to perform list on Thursday, according to Darin Gantt of Panthers.com. Gantt writes that the team is hopeful that Tremble will be able to play in Week 1 after undergoing back surgery in May. The 25-year-old is entering his fifth season with the Panthers and has recorded exactly 32 targets and 23 receptions in each of the past two years. Tremble is not a fantasy-relevant tight end, but he's a valuable player to Carolina because of his run-blocking ability. He threatens to vulture snaps and targets away from Panthers tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders, who offers far more upside as a receiver.

Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales said that tight end Tommy Tremble (back) is on track to play in the Week 1 regular-season opener on Sunday, Sept. 7, against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tremble is recovering from back surgery that he had in May and is on track to get back on the field soon, but he will not play in the team's preseason finale on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 25-year-old remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list but should come off of it and be available in Week 1. When fully healthy, Tremble should be on the field often for Carolina, although he doesn't have much fantasy appeal as a blocking-first TE. Ja'Tavion Sanders is most likely to see most of the aerial targets in the Panthers offense from quarterback Bryce Young. Tremble had a career-high 234 receiving yards last year and has never scored more than three TDs in a single season.

Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble continues to recover from back surgery and is able to do light jogging at practice, according to a video posted by ESPN's David Newton. Earlier in training camp, Tremble was placed on the active/PUP list, and Panthers GM Dan Morgan said that he could not put a timetable on when Tremble would be activated. Second-year tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders has been working with the first team offense while Tremble has been out, and he could get the advantage in playing time if Tremble continues to miss time. Last year, the two rotated at tight end with Sanders catching 33 passes for 342 yards and a touchdown and Tremble catching 23 passes for 234 yards and two scores. If you're looking for a sleeper tight end, Sanders will be an interesting name to watch if Tremble isn't ready to get back in action before Week 1.

Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales would not say that tight end Tommy Tremble (back) will be back in two weeks at training camp, but he could return in four weeks. Despite starting camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list this week, Tremble is making good progress from back surgery that he had in May. With the 25-year-old out for another couple of weeks at least, it brings into question whether he'll be available for the Week 1 regular-season opener in early September. Even if Tremble is ready to roll by then, he should remain off the fantasy radar in most leagues, as he's mostly known for his blocking and should take a back seat in the pass-catching department to Ja'Tavion Sanders. The former third-rounder in 2021 has never had over 23 catches or 234 yards in his four-year career with the Panthers.

The Athletic's Joe Person reports that the Carolina Panthers have placed tight end Tommy Tremble (back) on the PUP list. Tremble underwent back surgery in May, from which he's still recovering, but the team can remove him from the list at any time. It was always presumed that the 25-year-old would begin his ramp-up at the end of July, and that remains the case. Carolina's offense could be a surprise source of fantasy output in 2025 if third-year signal-caller Bryce Young can sustain the gains he exhibited to close out last season. If that's the case, Tremble could continue to build off his improvements, too. He's currently an afterthought in drafts.

Carolina Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble (back) is not expected to return by training camp at the end of July after having back surgery, according to head coach Dave Canales. Barring a setback, the team is hoping to get Tremble back sometime during the preseason. The Panthers are going to bring the 25-year-old along slowly after he had a back procedure in the middle of May. With Tremble sidelined, Ja'Tavion Sanders and rookie fifth-rounder Mitchell Evans will see more reps in OTAs and mandatory minicamp this month. When healthy, Tremble profiles as more of a blocking tight end, which doesn't make him much of an option in fantasy leagues. The former third-rounder (83rd overall) in 2021 out of Notre Dame matched his career-high with 23 catches last year for a career-high 234 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games (11 starts).

Carolina Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble (back) underwent successful back surgery last week, according to head coach Dave Canales. The Notre Dame product is expected to be ready for training camp. Tremble, a third-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, has tallied 85 receptions for 782 yards and nine touchdowns in 61 career games. The 24-year-old is a solid rotational tight end, but he'll likely be sharing time with Ja'Tavion Sanders and Mitchell Evans in 2025. The Panthers' tight end room could be one to watch if quarterback Bryce Young takes a big Year-3 leap, but for now, it's tough to be optimistic about any of these players, and they might not be on the fantasy football radar in regular setups.
