Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk put up yet another dud in an 18-13 loss to the Cleveland Browns. He finished with just one catch for negative one yard, giving him two catches and 29 yards through two games. Kirk was considered a safer option among the Jaguars receivers coming into the season given his experience and his familiarity with the offense. However, he has been nonexistent both in real football and in fantasy. At this point, it's hard to fathom keeping Kirk in fantasy beyond deeper leagues. With Evan Engram a surprise pre-game scratch, Kirk had the chance to step up, but instead, it was backup tight end Brenton Strange who filled the void with three catches for 65 yards. To make matters worse, the 27-year-old was fifth on the team in targets with three, behind Brian Thomas Jr., Strange, Gabe Davis, and Travis Etienne Jr. Kirk will look to get going against the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, but it is hard to imagine that will happen at the moment.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Christian Kirk posted one catch for minus-1 yard on three targets in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns.

Fantasy Spin: Yuck. Kirk is good for 787 or more yards in the past three seasons, and he has had three touchdowns in each of his first six NFL seasons. However, he has managed just two catches for 29 yards through the first two games. He is either not entirely healthy, or Trevor Lawrence is more comfortable with Gabe Davis and Brian Thomas Jr. Either way, Kirk needs to be nowhere near a fantasy lineup in Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills until he gets untracked.

Sep 13 11:10pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk is better left on benches for Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns. Kirk struggled in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins, as did the entire offense, producing just one catch for 30 yards. A dud like that will make it hard for fantasy managers to feel good inserting the Jaguars receiver into lineups, even as a flex. Kirk did tie for the team lead in targets with four, but needs to show more efficiency with his opportunities to be considered a reliable fantasy asset. It's too early to consider dropping the 27-year-old, as the Jaguars wide receiver room has no clear top option, but more underwhelming performances could leave fantasy managers with no choice. A good game against the Browns could boost Kirk back to being the top fantasy receiver on the Jaguars, but for now, he is best left out of starting lineups.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk finished with just one catch for 30 yards in a 17-14 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Kirk was expected, along with Evan Engram (one catch for five yards), to be the offensive skilled players with the best chemistry with Trevor Lawrence to start the season, but that was not the case. Kirk tied for the team lead in targets with Engram and Brian Thomas Jr. with four each. However, the rookie wideout caught all his targets and showed great chemistry with Lawrence. Free agent acquisition Gabe Davis also showed good chemistry with Lawrence, catching all three of his targets for 62 yards to lead the team in receiving. Kirk was merely a flex option/WR3 entering the season, so this Week 1 performance is concerning. Kirk still has the potential to be the top receiving option for the Jaguars, but the only way to know for sure is for the offense to have more success overall. In Week 2, Jacksonville faces the Cleveland Browns and their top secondary, making Kirk a risky flex play.

Miami Dolphins star cornerback Jalen Ramsey (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Week 1 of the regular season this Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium versus the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars. The good news, though, is that Ramsey was able to put in a limited practice on Friday after sitting out both Wednesday and Thursday. The 29-year-old All-Pro corner signed a three-year, $72.3 million contract extension on Friday with Miami, making him the highest-paid corner in the NFL. Ramsey considers himself a game-time decision for Sunday's contest. If he's not active, it will be good news for Jaguars top wideout Christian Kirk. It would also force backup cornerback Ethan Bonner into a starting role in Miami's secondary. Ramsey is a better real-life defensive back than an IDP one.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk (calf) avoided landing on the first official injury report of the 2024 regular season on Wednesday by putting in a full practice. It doesn't come as much of a surprise despite Kirk missing some time in training camp due to a mild calf injury. The Jags lost Calvin Ridley in the offseason but added Gabe Davis and first-round rookie Brian Thomas Jr. to the receiving corps. The 27-year-old Kirk was quarterback Trevor Lawrence's No. 1 target last year before his season ended prematurely due to a core injury. Don't forget that Kirk had his first 1,000-yard season with a career-high eight scores in his first year in Duvall in 2022, so a bounce-back could easily be in the cards in 2024. He's at least a WR3/flex for fantasy managers in a Week 1 matchup against the Miami Dolphins that could turn into a track meet.

Sep 4 1:03pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Christian Kirk (calf) is expected to be a full go for Week 1, head coach Doug Pederson said on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Fantasy Spin: Kirk missed the final five games of last season due to injury. After ranking as WR28 overall in the 12 games he did appear in during the 2023 season, Kirk should be considered a flex option in Week 1.

Aug 26 9:00pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said that wide receiver Christian Kirk (calf) is feeling good and will return to practice this week. A mild calf injury has kept Kirk off the practice field at training camp for around two weeks, but the 27-year-old will return this week and should have plenty of time to get up to speed in order to suit up in the Week 1 regular-season opener on Sept. 8 against the Miami Dolphins. Don't be surprised if Jacksonville eases Kirk back into practice this week. A groin injury cut his season short in 2023, leading him to finish with a 57-787-3 line in just 12 games played. Kirk set career-highs in catches (84), receiving yards (1,108) and touchdowns (eight) the year before, though, and he was on pace for similar numbers last year before his injury. A bounce-back season could be in the making for Kirk in 2024 as long as he's healthy, making him a nice WR3/flex target in upcoming fantasy drafts.

Aug 19 2:40pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said that wide receiver Christian Kirk (calf) and quarterback C.J. Beathard (groin) won't play in the preseason finale this Friday against the Atlanta Falcons on the road. Kirk missed practice last week due to what is considered a mild calf injury, so the team is playing it safe with him so that he'll be ready for the Week 1 regular-season opener on Sept. 8 against the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium. Beathard suffered a groin injury in Saturday's preseason contest. With Kirk out again this week, Gabe Davis and rookie first-rounder Brian Thomas Jr. will see more reps, as well as Parker Washington, Devin Duvernay and rookie Joshua Cephus. When healthy, the 27-year-old Kirk will be looking to bounce back in 2024 after an injury-plagued 2023. He faces competition for targets from Davis and Thomas, but if healthy, he's a solid WR3/flex target in fantasy.

Aug 15 10:10am ET

According to head coach Doug Pederson, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk is dealing with a mild calf injury that has sidelined him for joint practices against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Saturday's preseason game. Kirk is scheduled for re-evaluation next week. The Jaguars plan to rest key players, including Kirk, in the upcoming game against Tampa Bay, having already given most of their top players only brief appearances in the preseason opener against the Chiefs. With three and a half weeks remaining before the regular season opener, the mild calf injury is not expected to jeopardize Kirk's availability for the start of the season. Kirk, who became the Jaguars' No. 1 receiver in 2022 after signing a four-year, $72 million contract with $37 million guaranteed, had a standout season, catching 84 passes for 1,108 yards and eight touchdowns. Although Kirk missed the final five games of the 2023 season due to a core muscle injury that required surgery, he is anticipated to play a significant role in the Jaguars' offense in 2024. Mainly as the Jaguars help their two new wide receivers, Gabe Davis and Brian Thomas Jr., adapt to their system. Parker Washington took over Kirk's starting role when he went out, showing he would be the wide receiver to pick up off waivers if Kirk misses any time.

Aug 15 10:03am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Christian Kirk (calf) is out of practice Thursday, Aug. 15, with a mild calf injury.

Fantasy Spin: Kirk had a 57-787-3 line in 12 games last year, and he's a stable WR3 if he can remain healthy.

From TheHuddle

May 22 1:50pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk (groin), who missed the final five games of last season with a groin injury, said he's feeling good and healthy this spring during organized team activities. The Jaguars receiving room lost Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones this offseason but added Gabe Davis via free agency and took Brian Thomas in the first round of the NFL draft. Especially with Ridley out of the picture in 2024, the 27-year-old Kirk is the team's most experienced pass-catcher who should be the favorite to be quarterback Trevor Lawrence's most trusted target. Before getting hurt last year, the former second-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2018 out of Texas A&M had 57 catches (85 targets) for 787 yards and three touchdowns in 12 starts. In his first year with Jacksonville, Kirk had a career-high 1,108 yards and eight touchdowns.

From RotoBaller

May 20 7:43pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Christian Kirk (core) is on track in his recovery from a core muscle injury and has been able to participate in offseason workouts, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Fantasy Spin: Kirk should be fine for training camp and will be a big part of the passing game this upcoming season. He can be considered a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues when healthy.
