With a three-down role all to himself again, Miami Dolphins running back Kalen Ballage continued to be irrelevant in both fantasy and real-life on Sunday, putting up just six fantasy points in Miamis 37-20 loss to Buffalo. The fact that he got even six points was miraculous, as they only came due to a three-yard touchdown that he vultured after Devante Parker set the Dolphins up with a 50-yard reception in the first quarter. Ballage finished with a total of just 17 yards on 14 touches, rushing nine times for nine yards and catching five-of-six targets for just eight yards. Even facing little competition for touches in the Miami backfield, the slow-footed and wooden-handed Ballage should only be used by owners in the most dire of straits. This includes in Week 12, even though Ballage will be taking on a Cleveland Browns Defense thats allowing the 13th-most fantasy points to running backs in 2019.

Miami Dolphins RB Kalen Ballage rushed nine times for nine yards and a touchdown in Week 11 against the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Spin: Believe it or not, the nine yards was the team high for the Dolphins, which tells you a little about how they did in this game. When the team shipped away Kenyan Drake he had a golden opportunity to be the bellcow, but he is frittering his chance. The good news is that no one else is stepping up. Still, he is only worth keeping around as a RB4 heading into Week 12 in Cleveland.

Miami Dolphins CB Ken Webster (ankle) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 11 against the Buffalo Bills. DE Taco Charlton (elbow) and LB Raekwon McMillan (knee) were limited in practice all week and are listed as possible. S Reshad Jones (chest) and DE Avery Moss (ankle) practiced in full for a second straight day and are also listed as questionable. OL Jesse Davis (elbow), QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (shoulder), DT Davon Godchaux (shoulder), WR Jakeem Grant (toe, Achilles), LB Trent Harris (foot), C Daniel Kilgore (knee), CB Chris Lammons (ankle, toe), S Bobby McCain (shoulder), WR DeVante Parker (calf), TE Durham Smythe (knee, elbow), DT Christian Wilkins (toe) and WR Albert Wilson practiced in full Friday and no longer appear on the injury report. RB Kalen Ballage (neck, illness) was not given a practice designation Friday but was also removed from the injury report.

With all of his competition for touches being either traded or suspended, Miami Dolphins running back Kalen Ballage did little to impress in last week's 16-12 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Rushing for only 43 yards on 20 carries, and having rushed for only 113 yards on the season, Ballage has been a complete disappointment this year but will get an easier matchup in Week 11, as the Buffalo Bills have given up the ninth-most fantasy points to running backs in 2019. Ballage should continue to get a high volume of touches - with his only competition coming from Patrick Laird and Myles Gaskin - but he is still struggling to gain yards after first contact and is running behind one of the league's worst offensive lines. Even facing a Buffalo defense that struggles to stop the run, Ballage is no better than an RB3 this week, carrying a floor of zero and little upside. Leave him on your bench if at all possible, until Ballage proves he can contribute in a meaningful way.

Miami Dolphins RB Kalen Ballage (illness, neck) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 14.

Fantasy Spin: Ballage will continue to serve as the starting running back for the Dolphins over the next few weeks but has not posted great numbers this season. He could be a flex option in deep leagues because of the amount of carries he will receive but is not a must-start option.

Miami Dolphins RB Kalen Ballage (neck) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 13.

Fantasy Spin: Ballage has taken over the starting job with Mark Walton suspended but was held to only 43 yards on 20 carries in Week 10. He will continue to be the main option in the running game but can be avoided if better options are available.

From TheHuddle

Nov 12 9:13pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Kalen Ballage played 82 percent of the offensive snaps Sunday, Nov. 10, against the Indianapolis Colts. RB Patrick Laird played just eight offensive snaps with RB Myles Gaskin playing five total snaps (all on offense).

Fantasy Spin: Ballage ran the ball 20 times but for a very disappointing 43 yards. He caught all four of his targets but for just two yards. It was the Dolphins' second straight win but it remains highly doubtful there'll be many more of these. If he wasn't successful in Week 10, it's unlikely he will be.

From TheHuddle

Nov 11 6:50pm ET

Now with the backfield almost completely to himself, Miami Dolphins running back Kalen Ballage did little in Miami's 16-12 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, rushing 20 times for just 48 yards. Following the trade of Kenyan Drake and the suspension of Mark Walton, Ballage was virtually the only option out of the backfield for Miami, with just two carries going to backup Jordan Laird. Ballage may have the job to himself for the foreseeable future but Miami continues to be a subpar offense, making him only a desperate play for most fantasy owners. Until he and the Dolphins can prove they are able to manage more than the 229 yards of offense that they did on Sunday, leave Ballage on the waiver wire where he belongs.

From RotoBaller

Nov 10 9:53pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Kalen Ballage rushed 20 times for 43 yards and caught four passes for two yards in a 16-12 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10.

Fantasy Spin: Ballage enjoyed a hefty workload as the last man standing in the Miami backfield, but he continued to struggle with efficiency. Even if he continues to receive a majority of the touches going forward, he is a volume-based flex play, at best.

From TheHuddle

Nov 9 10:33pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Kalen Ballage 'should get at least 75 percent' of the touches against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10, according to Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com.

Fantasy Spin: Ballage has managed an abysmal 2.0 yards per carry this season, but following the trade of Kenyan Drake and the suspension of Mark Walton, he is the closest thing Miami has to a lead back. That being said, he is a volume-based flex play, at best, against the Colts.

From TheHuddle

Nov 9 1:40pm ET

With all of his competition having been either traded or suspended, Miami Dolphins running back Kalen Ballage is officially the lead back headed into a Week 10 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Ballage was a popular sleeper headed into 2019, being drafted around three rounds higher than incumbent starter Kenyan Drake but was a complete disappoint before being eventually passed on the depth chart by Mark Walton. Even though he has just 70 yards rushing in 2019, Ballage is now the only option in Miami after Drake was traded to Arizona and Walton was suspended for four games. With his only competition coming from unknowns Patrick Laird and Myles Gaskin, expect Ballage to get a majority of the work going forward. Even with the guaranteed touches, Ballage is still running behind a bad offensive line and is facing a Colts Defense in Week 10 thats giving up the ninth-fewest points to running backs in 2019. Unless in a desperate spot, Ballage should be left on fantasy benches until he proves he belongs elsewhere.

From RotoBaller

Nov 2 8:30pm ET

Miami Dolphins running back Kalen Ballage will likely continue to yield carries to Mark Walton on Sunday against the Jets. Even with the departure of Kenyan Drake, who is now an Arizona Cardinal, the 23-year-old continues not to be involved in the offense, rushing just six times for 15 yards over the last two games. With this level of activity, it is safe to say that Ballage should continue to remain benched in all formats but is worth a stash if you have some room to spare.

From RotoBaller

Oct 29 12:13am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Kalen Ballage rushed three times for eight yards with one catch for 11 yards on one target in Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday, Oct. 28.

Fantasy Spin: Ballage made the start following the trade of Kenyan Drake earlier in the day, but it was Mark Walton who had 11 carries and 14 total touches. If you're looking for fantasy help in the backfield following the Drake deal, Ballage is only worth a look in the deepest of formats.

From TheHuddle

Oct 21 12:10am ET

Miami Dolphins running back Kalen Ballage only had three carries for seven yards in a 31-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, but two of them came inside Buffalo's five-yard line, with Ballage cashing in the second of the two for a three-yard touchdown. Ballage was far out-touched by Mark Walton and Kenyan Drake and is currently the clear third option on the league's worst team, making him nothing but fodder for the waiver wire. Even if Drake is traded before this month's deadline, it seems that he'd still be behind new starter Walton in the pecking order, which should give fantasy owners few reasons to roster the once-popular sleeper pick ahead of a Week 8 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

From RotoBaller

Oct 20 5:13pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Kalen Ballage rushed for seven yards and one touchdown on three carries against the Buffalo Bills in Week 7.

Fantasy Spin: Ballage appears to be the goal line back for the Dolphins but probably is not a reliable weekly option for fantasy players.

From TheHuddle

Oct 11 2:23pm ET

Miami Dolphins CB Johnson Bademosi (ankle), RB Kalen Ballage (foot), OL Jesse Davis (elbow), WR Jakeem Grant (hamstring), LB Trent Harris (foot), CB Xavien Howard (knee), S Reshad Jones (ankle), CB Chris Lammons (toe), S Bobby McCain (hamstring, shoulder), WR Albert Wilson (calf, hip) and CB Jomal Wiltz (groin) were limited in practice on Friday, Oct. 11, and are listed as questionable for Week 6 versus the Washington Redskins. C Daniel Kilgore (knee) was limited in practice Friday but has been removed from the injury report. DE Charles Harris (wrist) was a full participant in practice Friday, while RB Mark Walton (illness) was not given a practice designation; both players no longer appear on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 11 2:20pm ET

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Albert Wilson (calf, hip) and running back Kalen Ballage (foot) were both limited in practice on Friday and are questionable for Week 6 against the Redskins. Both players should be able to suit up in this excellent matchup. Wilson hasn't played since Week 1, but he could be a sneaky DFS and deep league play in PPR formats out of the slot against Washington. Ballage took a back seat to Mark Walton as the No. 2 to Kenyan Drake before the bye week and should be avoided everywhere if he's active.

From RotoBaller

Oct 2 4:20pm ET

The usage of Miami Dolphins running back Kalen Ballage continued to drop in a 31-10 Week 4 loss to the Chargers, with Ballage only rushing the ball twice and finishing with seven yards. Ballage dropped his only target of the game on a likely 12-yard touchdown pass and was seemingly supplanted by Mark Walton as starter Kenyan Drake's backup for the remainder of the contest. A sleeper heading into 2019, many thought Ballage could eat into Drake's playing time, but heading into Miami's Week 5 bye, he can safely be dropped in all standard leagues.
