Player Notes
Dec 29 7:30pm ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen finished with 295 yards and an interception on 25-for-41 passing during the loss to the Saints in Week 17. After rookie quarterback Will Grier exited the game in the second quarter after suffering a foot injury, Allen took over but wasn't able to get anything going. The 23-year-old had flashes of efficiency this season, winning five of his first six starts before taking a loss in the next six-straight. He will enter the 2020 offseason as an exclusive-rights free agent, with a solid chance that he could be named the starter come Week 1 of next season if Cam Newton (foot) finds himself on a new team.

Dec 15 7:20pm ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen had another miserable performance, finishing with 277 yards on 25-for-41 passing while adding three interceptions and a touchdown during the loss to the Seahawks. He also had five carries for 25 yards. After an impressive debut earlier in the season against Arizona, it has been all downhill for the 25-year-old, who logged his 15th pick on the year in Week 15. With two games remaining, Allen will have to get it together if he hopes to remain the starter come next season in the event that Cam Newton (foot) gets traded during the offseason.

Dec 14 9:50am ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen will attempt to salvage what has been a disappointing season on Sunday against Seattle. With Cam Newton (foot) potentially already having played his last game with the club, the sophomore will look to make his case to remain the signal-caller come next season, with Seattle being the first of the team's final three opponents in 2019. Though the Seahawks are a long way removed from the "Legion of Boom" days, the defensive unit has played well enough to get the job done for a team that is propelled by a high-octane offense. With Allen throwing all 12 over his interceptions on the year throughout his previous seven starts, fantasy owners shouldn't expect much, while realizing that he could have a few solid outings left in the tank for those in need of a fantasy quarterback in Week 15.

Dec 8 6:50pm ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen threw for 293 yards and a touchdown on 28-for-41 passing during the loss to the Falcons. He also had two interceptions and fumbled twice. After not throwing a pick in his first four games after taking over Cam Newton (foot), the 23-year-old now has 12 throughout his last seven games. Don't expect much from Allen moving ahead as the team enters survival mode to finish out the year.

Dec 7 3:50am ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen has a difficult matchup on Sunday against the Falcons Defense. Atlanta has played well against opposing quarterbacks, especially as of late, and held Drees Brees to just one touchdown toss during the Thanksgiving matchup with New Orleans, while also forcing Allen to throw four picks just a few weeks ago. The 23-year-old is a different player than what we saw after he initially took over for Cam Newton (foot) earlier in the year, and should remain out of starting lineups across the board in Week 14.

Dec 3 3:30pm ET

The Carolina Panthers fired head coach Ron Rivera on Tuesday. The final straw for ownership was the Panthers getting upset at home by the Redskins in Week 13. Carolina currently sits in third place in the NFC South with a 5-7 record. Their loss this last Sunday was their fourth in a row and dropped them to a disappointing 2-4 record at home this year. In his nine seasons as the Panthers head coach, Rivera finishes with an overall record of 76-63-1. The entire coaching staff was fighting an uphill battle this year with Cam Newton missing most of the season and backup Kyle Allen proving to be nothing more than a game manager. With Rivera out of the mix, expect this offense to continue running through running back Christian McCaffrey. Secondary coach Perry Fewell will take over as the interim head coach for the final four games.

Dec 1 9:10pm ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen finished with 278 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception, on 27-for-46 passing during the loss to the Redskins on Sunday. While Allen completed only 58 percent of his passes, it was another acceptable performance after he threw four picks against the Falcons a few weeks ago. Turnovers continue to be an issue as he also fumbled twice in this one, but he does have some value in deeper formats moving ahead for those in need of a quarterback as fantasy leagues head into the playoffs.

Nov 30 6:20am ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen has a favorable matchup in Week 13 against a Redskins Defense that is allowing a ninth-worst 19 fantasy points per game to opposing signal-callers over the last two weeks. Allen struggled through his last four outings heading into Week 12, throwing nine interceptions, while throwing just three touchdowns. He turned things around against New Orleans last Sunday and could be a reliable option in deeper leagues, with the only downfall being if the Panthers go up big, meaning less throwing, and more running.

Nov 23 12:30pm ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen has really struggled over the last four games. He's 27th in the league in fantasy points during the stretch and has thrown three touchdowns to nine interceptions. Things don't get any easier against the New Orleans Saints this week. They've allowed 241.5 passing yards and 1.5 touchdowns to quarterbacks per game and picked off 1.25 passes per game during the stretch. Allen should stay far away from your lineup this week.

Nov 17 7:40pm ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen logged another miserable performance, with his latest installment coming on Sunday against the recently red-hot Atlanta Falcons. The 23-year-old threw four interceptions on the day, including three in the first half alone, and while Allen didn't throw for a touchdown In this one, he attempted to make up for his shortcomings to some degree by completing 62 percent of his passes for 325 yards. Nonetheless, this was still another disappointing outing for the sophomore signal-caller, who has now thrown nine picks over his last four games, while accumulating just three scores through the air during that span. With this one in the books, Allen will look to get back on track against the Saints in Week 12.

Nov 16 7:40am ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen has struggled as of late and will look to turn things around against the Falcons in Week 11. After winning his first four games after taking over for Cam Newton (foot), the 23-year-old has fizzled over the last three weeks, throwing five interceptions, with only three touchdowns, in addition to logging less than a 53.1 completion percentage twice during that span. Atlanta has held opposing quarterbacks in check over the last two weeks, including preventing Drew Brees from finding the end zone in Week 10, making Allen a desperation play in deeper formats on Sunday.

From RotoBaller

Nov 10 11:50pm ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen completed 28 of his 43 pass attempts to finish with 307 yards and a touchdown during the loss to the Packers on Sunday. Despite throwing an interception, the 23-year-old finished with an acceptable 65.1 completion percentage on a snowy afternoon in Green Bay. Nonetheless, turnovers have been an issue as of late, throwing five picks in his last three games after not throwing any in his first four outings since taking over for Cam Newton (foot), who will be out while on injured reserve. Allen still has value, but mostly in deeper formats for those in need of a signal-caller to help get through a bye.

Nov 4 1:50pm ET

Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said that quarterback Kyle Allen will start again in Week 10 against the Packers, while Cam Newton (foot) will continue with his rehab program. Newton isn't recovering as the team had hoped, and there's a chance he'll need season-ending surgery after he visited with a foot specialist over the weekend. The chances of Newton not returning this year are increasing by the day, which is obviously good for Allen. While the team is 5-1 with Allen under center, he's been nothing more than a mediocre game manager for fantasy owners as a low-end QB2. This offense continues to be the Christian McCaffrey show. Allen has a tough matchup in Week 10 against the Packers, who are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Chargers, on the road.

Nov 3 6:40pm ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen bounced back in Week 9 against the Titans, compiling 232 yards and two touchdowns on 17-for-32 passing. While he did throw an interception, this performance was much better than the one he had against the 49ers in Week 8. With another win to his credit, things will likely get a little more complicated in Week 10, when Allen and company will head to Green Bay for a meeting with the Packers.

Nov 2 3:30am ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen had a miserable Week 8 performance against San Francisco but will attempt to turn things around against Tennessee on Sunday. After compiling seven touchdowns and no picks throughout his first four starts in place of Cam Newton (foot), the 23-year-old was manhandled by a 49ers Defense that forced him to throw three interceptions while sacking him seven times. The Titans Defense has struggled as of late against opposing quarterbacks, allowing an eighth-worst 20.25 fantasy points per game. With Christian McCaffrey (knee) and Curtis Samuel (shoulder) both expected to play, Allen's Week 9 outlook looks good, especially for those owners in deeper formats who are dealing with injuries or looking to get through a bye.

From RotoBaller

Oct 27 8:40pm ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen threw for 158 yards and three picks on 19-for-37 passing in the loss to the 49ers on Sunday. After throwing seven touchdowns and no interceptions while filling in for Cam Newton (foot) as the starter, this was a day to forget for the 23-year-old. With Newton's return date unknown at the moment, Allen could have a shot to turn it back around against the Titans in Week 9.

From RotoBaller

Oct 26 1:20am ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen will face his toughest challenge to date against San Francisco on Sunday. With four straight wins under his belt, Allen has thrown for six touchdowns this season and is doing so while maintaining an acceptable 65.6 completion percentage. However, the 49ers Defense has been one of the most effective units in the league, allowing an average of 7.06 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks in 2019. If you have nowhere else to turn, Allen is worth a start, but you may be better off looking somewhere else for production in Week 8.

From RotoBaller

Oct 13 1:40pm ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen recorded his fourth straight win on Sunday against Tampa Bay in London. While Jameis Winston recorded five interceptions on the day, Allen was able to get it done by finishing with 227 yards and two touchdowns on 20-for-32 passing. With the Panthers heading into a bye, things will get interesting for the Panthers if Cam Newton (foot) can return for the Week 8 matchup with San Francisco. Fantasy managers will want to monitor the situation, but Allen should remain on rosters until Newton is officially back in the mix as a starter.

From RotoBaller

Oct 10 4:40am ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen could be making his final start of the season in London against Tampa Bay. With Cam Newton (foot) potentially returning after the team's Week 7 bye, the 23-year-old could have one more shot to put up some efficient numbers before returning to a reserve role. In normal circumstances, Allen has a favorable matchup against a Buccaneers Defense that has allowed a league-worst 323.6 passing yards this season. However, things may not be as easy if Christian McCaffrey (back) is unable to play in Week 6, making Allen's spot as a fantasy starter mostly contingent on the star running back's availability on Sunday.
