New York Giants CB Corey Ballentine (concussion) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 18, and has been ruled out for Week 7. WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) was limited during practice but has been ruled out. DT Olsen Pierre (concussion) fully participated in practice and is not on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 18 1:20pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (concussion) will not be cleared to play in Week 7 against the Cardinals, according to sources. Week 8 is also an uncertainty for Shepard as the Giants take caution with his head injury, the second concussion he's suffered in a four-week span. You can remove Shepard from your fantasy lineups now, and he'll be questionable, at best, for next weekend. With Shepard out another game, it's good news for Golden Tate as a high-end WR3 out of the slot. The Cardinals will be getting cornerback Patrick Peterson back, but he's unlikely to work the slot. Tate's upside won't be as high with tight end Evan Engram and running back Saquon Barkley returning, but he should still be able to put up decent fantasy numbers in a great matchup.

From RotoBaller

Oct 18 9:23am ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) won't be cleared for Week 7, and he might not return for Week 8 after his second concussion in four weeks.

Fantasy Spin: Golden Tate should be a featured target against the Arizona Cardinals. He's a high-end WR3 this week. TE Evan Engram (knee) looks ready to return, and he could be one of the best tight ends in fantasy to play this week.

From TheHuddle

Oct 17 3:43pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 17.

Fantasy Spin: Shepard needs to be medically cleared to play in Week 7, so fantasy players will need to keep an eye on the situation. He is one of the main targets in the passing game when healthy and can be a starting fantasy option if he plays.

From TheHuddle

Oct 17 3:23pm ET

New York Giants CB Corey Ballentine (concussion) was unable to practice for a second straight day on Thursday, Oct. 17. WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) was limited for a second straight day. RB Wayne Gallman (concussion), DL Olsen Pierre (concussion), RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) and TE Evan Engram (knee) were full participants.

From TheHuddle

Oct 16 3:23pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Fantasy Spin: Shepard needs to be medically cleared before he is able to play, so fantasy players should know more about his status later in the week. He will see a solid amount of targets if he plays and could be at least a No. 3 fantasy receiver.

From TheHuddle

Oct 16 1:10pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol and was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. Shepard missed last Thursday's game and will likely be questionable for Week 7 against the Cardinals. He'll have to gain clearance from the protocol later this week in order to have a shot at suiting up, making him a risky fantasy option despite the excellent matchup. Golden Tate and Darius Slayton would be the team's top two receivers if Shepard remains out, although the Cardinals will be getting cornerback Patrick Peterson back from suspension this week. Tight end Evan Engram (knee) is also on track to return after missing last week's game.

From RotoBaller

Oct 14 11:43am ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) took part in individual drills during the light practice Monday, Oct. 14. He is still a long shot to play in Week 7.

Fantasy Spin: A lot could happen for the Giants on offense this week if Saquon Barkley (ankle) and TE Evan Engram (knee) make it back. Golden Tate had a 6-102-1 line in Week 6 and will be a WR3 play against the Arizona Cardinals.

From TheHuddle

Oct 10 7:13pm ET

The New York Giants have declared RB Saquon Barkley, WR Sterling Shepard, TE Evan Engram, RB Wayne Gallman, G Chad Slade, OT Eric Smith and LB Tae Davis inactive for Week 6.

From TheHuddle

Oct 9 2:13pm ET

New York Giants TE Evan Engram (knee), RB Wayne Gallman (concussion) and WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 9, and have been ruled out for Week 6. RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) was limited during practice but has been ruled out. LB Lorenzo Carter (neck) was limited during practice and is listed as questionable. LB Alec Ogletree (hamstring), OT Nate Solder (ankle), LB Josiah Tauaefa (knee) and LB Tae Davis (concussion) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 9 1:13pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 6.

Fantasy Spin: Golden Tate makes for a decent flex option against the New England Patriots. The Giants will likely have to throw the majority of what shouldn't be a close game. Cody Latimer has some low-end DFS appeal, but he's too risky to flex this week.

From TheHuddle

Oct 8 5:43pm ET

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman (concussion) and WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) did not practice for a second straight day Tuesday, Oct. 8. TE Evan Engram (knee), RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) and Lorenzo Carter (neck) were limited. LB Alec Ogletree (hamstring), OT Nate Solder (ankle), LB Josiah Tauaefa (knee) and LB Tae Davis (concussion) fully participated in practice Tuesday.

From TheHuddle

Oct 7 5:33pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) did not participate in practice Monday, Oct. 7.

Fantasy Spin: Shepard is expected to miss at least one game because of his second concussion. Golden Tate and Darius Slayton likely will have better roles but will be risky options since they are playing the New England Patriots.

From TheHuddle

Oct 7 5:20pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (concussion) has been placed in concussion protocol. This is the second concussion this season for the fourth-year wide receiver. A firm timetable has not been set yet, but further updates should be released by the Giants shortly. The Giants have a tough matchup against the Patriots on Thursday night in Week 6, which won't give Shepard enough time to get cleared and back on the field. Golden Tate and Evan Engram should be the primary beneficiaries if Shepard ends up missing a significant amount of time, although fantasy owners may want to stay away from the Giants receiving options in Week 6.

From RotoBaller

Oct 7 4:33pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) was placed in the concussion protocol Monday, Oct. 7, and is expected to miss an extended period of time since this is his second concussion of the season, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: Shepard was a popular target for Daniel Jones but likely will miss multiple weeks because of the concussion. Golden Tate joined the lineup last week and should receive a bigger role with Shepard sidelined. Tate can be considered a No. 3 fantasy receiver or flex option most weeks.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 6:23pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard caught five passes for 49 yards against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5. He was targeted 10 times during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Shepard has been targeted at least nine times in each of the last three games and should remain the top option in the passing game. He will be a risky option next week because of the matchup but can still be a flex option.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 5:30pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard had a quiet game in the box score, but it was close to being so much more. Shepard ended the day with five catches for 49 yards on 10 targets, but he was wide open for walk-in touchdowns on two of those targets and Daniel Jones just missed him. A third target was a jump ball in the end zone that Shepard probably should have secured against tight coverage. Shepard isn't going to see as many wide-open targets now that he's no longer the team's primary slot receiver, but he's clearly still trusted by Daniel Jones. Jones just needs to be better for Shepard to have consistent value. It might not be a bad idea to wait for a good game and try to sell the former Oklahoma wide receiver.

From RotoBaller

Oct 2 9:20am ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard heads into Week 5 with a few question marks. As the team's top wide receiver so far, Shepard has developed a strong rapport with quarterback Daniel Jones. However, he has also done most of his damage while operating out of the slot. That's the same position where recently-activated Golden Tate does his best work. If the Giants move Shepard outside this week, he'll be moving to a position where he's seen less success and will also be in the coverage of elite cornerback Xavier Rhodes. All of this makes Shepard a risky option in Week 5. The Giants will likely throw enough to make him usable as a WR3, but he doesn't come with the upside that he's had over the past two weeks and now may be the best time to sell high.

From RotoBaller

Sep 29 5:03pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard caught seven passes for 76 yards against the Washington Redskins in Week 4. He was targeted nine times during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Shepard has become the Giants' top receiver this season and has recorded 14 receptions, 176 yards and one touchdown over the last two games. He can be a No. 3 receiver or flex option in all leagues next week.

From TheHuddle

Sep 29 5:00pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard continue to operate as Daniel Jones safety blanket in Sundays win over the Redskins. He hauled in seven passes for 76 yards on his nine targets; however, he was unable to find the end zone. He did also carry the ball once for 23 yards, which shows that the Giants are trying to use him in a variety of ways. Like with Engram, Shepard should continue to have consistent value in season-long leagues; however, we wont know for sure how high that value will go until we see what the offense looks like once Golden Tate gets back on the field next week.
