Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 16-of-23 passes for 156 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 3 against the Washington Football Team.

Fantasy Spin: Mayfield hasn't rolled up huge passing yardage totals, but he has two touchdown throws in each of his past two outings. As such he is solidly in the middle of the QB2 conversation in most fantasy leagues. The Browns travel to meet Dallas in Week 4.

From TheHuddle

Sep 27 4:10pm ET

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield was efficient in a 34-20 win over the Washington Football Team in Week 3. Mayfield completed 16 of 23 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns in the win. The Cleveland running game took over as the game went on, limiting Mayfield's passing attempts in the win. He connected with Kareem Hunt for a nine-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter and then hit Harrison Bryant for a three-yard score in the fourth. Mayfield has five touchdowns and two interceptions through three games in 2020. He has settled in as a fantasy quarterback with a decent floor but limited upside thanks to a run-heavy offense. He will face the Cowboys in Dallas in Week 4.

Sep 24 12:10pm ET

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield turned in a serviceable performance in a Week 2 win over the Cincinnati Bengals as he tossed two touchdowns and notched 219 passing yards. He will face off against the Washington Football Team at home in Week 3 in what could be a tough matchup. While Washington's secondary has been suspect, they boast a dominant pass rush that could give Mayfield fits on Sunday. That sets Mayfield up as a boom/bust QB2 in fantasy. It all depends on whether his offensive line can give him time to operate. If that happens, Mayfield could have a good afternoon. That being said, if Washington can hurry him consistently throughout the contest, it could look a lot like his Week 1 dud. Fantasy gamers should treat Mayfield as a low-end QB2 for Week 3.

Sep 18 1:43am ET

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 16 of 23 passes for 219 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception during the team's Week 2 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Spin: For at least one week, Cleveland's offense ran through the duo of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt with Mayfield primarily operating as a game manager, particularly in the second half -- his final pass of the game came with 11: 33 left in the fourth and was intercepted. Now the question becomes whether this was attacking a weakness unique to Cincinnati, which finished 2019 dead last against the run, or if it's a new area of focus to emphasize the run game. If it's the latter, Mayfield's already marginal value could take another hit.

Sep 17 11:50pm ET

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield completed 16 of 23 passes for 218 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in a 35-30 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2. Mayfield was effective in the win, finding Odell Beckham Jr. for a 43-yard score in the second quarter and a wide-open Kareem Hunt for a six-yard touchdown right before the half. It was a much-needed outing for Mayfield, who had begun to hear whispers that his starting job wasn't safe after a Week 1 loss. Mayfield heads into Week 3's showdown with the Washington Football Team with three touchdowns and two interceptions through two games.

Sep 17 9:40am ET

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield turned in a disappointing performance in a 38-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, throwing for just 189 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He will look to put that behind him when he takes on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2's Thursday night matchup. While Mayfield wasn't great in the season opener, there is some cause for optimism considering that Baltimore employs one of the top defenses in the league. The Cincinnati pass defense figures to be much more generous to the Cleveland passing attack on Thursday evening. Season-long fantasy gamers most likely have better starting options at the quarterback position for Week 2 but Mayfield does make for an interesting dart throw in DFS GPP contests.

Sep 13 8:13pm ET

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 21-of-39 passes for 189 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens. He also ran twice for three yards.

Fantasy Spin: It was a forgettable performance for the Browns in Week 1, like it usually is. They haven't won straight up in Week 1 since 2004. Mayfield will look for better results for his fantasy owners in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night.

From TheHuddle

Sep 13 5:20pm ET

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield struggled to move the offense in a 38-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. Mayfield completed 21 of 39 passes for 189 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the lopsided loss. The Ravens only sacked him twice on the afternoon but they often got pressure on the third-year quarterback, forcing him to move off of his spot in the pocket and rush his passes on several occasions. Mayfield's touchdown pass was a one-yard hook-up with tight end David Njoku. Better days should be ahead for Mayfield and the Cleveland offense as Baltimore's defense was as tough as expected in the opener but the signal-caller will be hard to trust until he has a big game. Cleveland will face the Cincinnati Bengals at home on Thursday night in Week 2.

Sep 11 1:40pm ET

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters on Friday that he will call the offensive plays in his first season as head coach, but he'll also work collaboratively with offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt. The Browns were a huge disappointment in 2019 under Freddie Kitchens, but Stefanski's vision for Cleveland's 2020 offense is expected to mesh much better with quarterback Baker Mayfield and the rest of the offense. Running back Nick Chubb should see plenty of work as the primary back, and two-tight end sets with Austin Hooper and David Njoku could be common under Stefanski. The main thing that fantasy managers will be watching will be the connection between Mayfield and his No. 1 wideout, Odell Beckham Jr.

From RotoBaller

Sep 8 9:40am ET

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield has plenty of appeal as a post-hype sleeper in 2020. The entire Cleveland offense let down fantasy gamers in 2019 but the talent is still there for Mayfield to put together some QB1 weeks in 2020. That is unlikely to be the case in Week 1, however, as the Browns travel to Baltimore to face a Ravens secondary that was very stingy against opposing passing attacks in 2019. Mayfield also will have to contend with what most expect will be a run-oriented offensive attack implemented by new head coach Kevin Stefanski. For now, treat Mayfield as a low-end QB2/high-end QB3 for Week 1's matchup.

Aug 30 8:30pm ET

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield was held firmly in check by the teams second-tier defensive unit Sunday. Mayfield and his first-tier teammates lost a scrimmage to the Case Keenum-led second unit, with the Browns Week 1 starter tossing an interception in the end zone at one point. The Cleveland offense enters 2020 with a large question mark as Alex Van Pelt takes over as the new offensive coordinator, attempting to get the talent of Mayfield to gel with that of Pro Bowl wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. After going as high as the No. 2 QB off the board in many drafts last year, Mayfield has now been relegated primarily to two-QB leagues. He boasts better upside as a high volatility play in DFS, which his Week 1 matchup against the Ravens certainly fits the mold for.

From RotoBaller

Aug 24 7:20pm ET

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield said his chemistry with wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is much improved heading into their second season together. "It's sure as hell going to be a lot better than last year," Mayfield said. Wide receivers coach and passing-game coordinator Chad O'Shea has instilled a better culture among the team's receivers, and Mayfield thinks OBJ will work better in the new scheme. "You can tell how serious the offseason was for him," Mayfield said. "It just kind of permeates throughout the whole building." Beckham is coming off a career-low in catches (74) and yards (1,035), but he's still a low-end WR1 with an incredibly high ceiling if Cleveland's offense can learn from their mistakes of the 2019 season.

From RotoBaller

Aug 24 3:53pm ET

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield believes he is 'on the same page' with Odell Beckham Jr. and that both players are 'in a better state' after the team dealt with a lot of adversity last season. '(Our chemistry) is sure ... going to be a lot better than last year. We're just on the same page, things we talked about. There was a lot going on within the building last year. We're not going to get into that, but we're both in a better state. He's healthy; surgery was successful, thank God. He's feeling great. He's in a great state of mind,' Mayfield told NFL Media.

Fantasy Spin: Mayfield struggled mightily due to some terrible offensive line play, which was addressed in a big way this offseason. Beckham is reportedly 100 percent after dealing with a core muscle injury for the bulk of his first season in Cleveland. It should come as no surprise if Beckham returns to the same high-end WR1 form he regularly displayed earlier in his career if can stay healthy this season, while Mayfield should bounce back and be a solid QB2 for fantasy purposes.

From TheHuddle

Aug 14 5:10pm ET

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield said he's "finding out how to get back to the basics" after a disappointing sophomore campaign in 2019. "I lost myself in that and I wasn't able to be who I am for these guys on the team. I told them that," Mayfield continued. "I told them that if I'm not doing that, hold me accountable." Head coach Kevin Stefanski's zone-run and play-action scheme should fit Mayfield better, but some fantasy owners may still be skeptical. Mayfield was being taken as a top-five fantasy signal-caller in 2019. That won't happen in 2020 drafts, but the 25-year-old from Oklahoma could surprise some as a QB1 with an improved supporting cast.

From RotoBaller

Aug 14 3:13pm ET

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield said Friday, Aug. 14, he 'lost myself' in 2019 and started doubting himself after a couple of sub-par performances. Mayfield, though, said Friday that's in the past. 'In a much better state, mentally, physically. Just ready to roll,' Mayfield told reporters at training camp. 'Back to where I need to be to be the leader.'

Fantasy Spin: Drafted as a breakout No. 1 QB last season, Mayfield stumbled badly, throwing for five fewer touchdowns and seven more interceptions than he did as a rookie in 2018. He should bounce back the other way some in 2020, but he's still figures to wind up as a QB2 when all's said and done.

From TheHuddle

Aug 5 4:33pm ET

Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper lived part of the summer with QB Baker Mayfield while the two worked out together.

Fantasy Spin: It certainly could help Hooper to at least be somewhat familiar with his new QB despite all the lost reps from canceled offseason programs following his signing as a free agent. Hooper is expected to be the No. 1 tight end over David Njoku and should be drafted as a top-tier option at his thin position.

From TheHuddle

Jul 7 10:00pm ET

The Cleveland Browns signed No. 10 overall pick Jedrick Wills to his rookie contract on Tuesday. Wills and the team agreed upon a four-year, $19.7 million deal with a team option for a fifth year. The entire contract is fully guaranteed and the rookie tackle will take home an $11.889 million signing bonus. With Wills under contract, Cleveland has all but two of their draft picks signed as they gear up to begin training camp later in the month. Wills has plenty of work ahead of him as he will be asked to switch from right tackle, which he played in college, to left tackle. All reports about Wills' switch have been positive up until this point as the protector of Baker Mayfield's blind side.

From RotoBaller

Jun 28 2:40pm ET

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said this week that he will wait to let the offensive play-calling decision play out during the preseason, whether it's him making the calls or offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt. Stefanski also has reason to believe that the players are ready to hit the ground running in July for training camp after virtual offseason meetings this year. The Browns might have a good problem on their hands with figuring out how to balance touches for running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry and tight end Austin Hooper. While the Browns offense was a disappointment in 2019 behind a terrible offensive line, quarterback Baker Mayfield and company are expected to make strides this year in what should be an offense featuring many two-tight end looks.

From RotoBaller

Jun 26 2:33pm ET

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield threw seven interceptions on throws that traveled at least 20 yards during the 2019 season.

Fantasy Spin: Mayfield will be working in a new offense this season and will have one of the top groups of pass catchers to work with in the NFL. He has a chance to be a No. 1 quarterback in all fantasy leagues in 2020.

From TheHuddle

Jun 25 3:33pm ET

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield has been discouraged to work out with teammates in effort to limit the chance of contracting and spreading COVID-19, head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters during a Thursday, June 25, Zoom call.

Fantasy Spin: While it would be nice for all of the receiving targets and Mayfield to continue to build chemistry, having an on-field rapport does nothing for fantasy footballers if the grouping isn't actually on the field together. Mayfield has a talented crop of weapons at his disposal, but the offense will rely heavily on the ground game and require Mayfield to become extremely efficient for his stats to stand out in fantasy.
