Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) believes he and RB Kerryon Johnson (knee) can be a 'dominant' tandem whenever Johnson is activated from the Reserve/Injured list. 'Kerryon has his style of running, and I have my style of running, and when you get two guys with different styles, but somewhat similar, I think it's harder for the defense because you don't actually switch out linebackers and safeties,' Scarbrough said.

Fantasy Spin: Scarbrough has emerged as a workhorse for Detroit in Johnson's absence, logging at least 18 carries and no fewer than 65 yards in three straight games. Still, he hasn't shown much in the way of explosiveness, and as a volume-based fantasy option, it is unlikely Scarbrough will have much value whenever Johnson does return.

Dec 13 7:33pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 13, and is listed as questionable for Week 15.

Fantasy Spin: Scarbrough likely will be a game-time decision, so fantasy players will need to check the inactive list for his official status. He would be facing a tough Tampa Bay Buccaneers run defense but could still be a flex option if he plays.

Dec 13 4:53pm ET

Detroit Lions OG Joe Dahl (back, knee), LB Jarrad Davis (ankle, knee), DT A'Shawn Robinson (shoulder), QB Matthew Stafford (hip, back) and OT Ricky Wagner (knee) were unable to practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. DT John Atkins (illness) and RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) did not practice Friday, Dec. 13, and are listed as questionable. LB Christian Jones (shoulder) was limited in practice all week and is also listed as questionable. DT Damon Harrison (calf, knee, shoulder, rest) was limited in practice Friday but has been removed from the injury report. CB Jamal Agnew (ankle), DE Austin Bryant (hip), P Sam Martin (abdomen) and CB Rashaan Melvin (ribs) practiced in full Friday and also no longer appear on the injury report.

Detroit Lions OG Joe Dahl (back, knee), LB Jarrad Davis (ankle, knee), DT Damon Harrison (calf, knee, shoulder, rest), DT A'Shawn Robinson (shoulder), RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs), QB Matthew Stafford (hip, back) and OT Ricky Wagner (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 12. DE Austin Bryant (hip), LB Christian Jones (shoulder) and P Sam Martin (abdomen) were limited. CBs Jamal Agnew (ankle) and CB Rashaan Melvin (ribs) practiced in full.

Dec 12 4:30pm ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough (ribs) was downgraded to out of practice on Thursday after getting in a limited session on Wednesday. It puts Scarbrough in danger of missing Week 15 against the Buccaneers, especially if he misses another practice on Friday. Even if Scarbrough plays, he'll be more of a low-upside RB3/flex in a tough matchup with a surprisingly good Buccaneers run defense this year. Rookie Ty Johnson and J.D. McKissic would split the workload in the backfield if Scarbrough is inactive this Sunday. Detroit's offense under third-string quarterback David Blough is limping to the finish line.

Dec 12 4:23pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) did not take part in practice Thursday, Dec. 12.

Fantasy Spin: Scarbrough has been a steady if not unspectacular fantasy option since taking over the lead job in Week 11. If he cannot go in Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Lions would likely split work between Ty Johnson and J.D. McKissic. If he misses more than one week, Kerryon Johnson (knee) could return from IR and take back the starting job in Week 16.

From TheHuddle

Dec 12 2:50am ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough has a tough Week 15 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coming to town. While the Bucs pass defense sits last in the league, their run defense sits near the top, and with rookie quarterback David Blough unable to consistently get scoring opportunities, Scarbrough's value gets seriously capped. Scarbrough has taken full control of the Lions backfield over the last three weeks, but he will be hard to trust this week, especially in PPR leagues. Fantasy owners can slot Scarbrough in as an RB3 for this matchup.

From RotoBaller

Dec 11 7:13pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Fantasy Spin: Scarbrough probably will be able to play in the Week 15 as long as he can handle the pain. He has received at least 14 carries in each of the last four games and can be at least a flex option this week despite the tough matchup.

From TheHuddle

Dec 9 1:10pm ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough rushed 19 times for 65 yards in a loss to the Vikings Sunday. Scarbrough added one catch for five yards through the air. Scarbrough has completely taken over this backfield as no other Lion had more than two carries. Despite the work, Scarbrough's fantasy value is capped somewhat by the Lions offense starting rookie David Blough at quarterback making scoring opportunities rare in the Motor City. Still, Scarbrough can be trusted as a borderline RB2/3 based on volume alone with more value in non-PPR leagues.

From RotoBaller

Dec 8 6:23pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough rushed 19 times for 65 yards in Week 14 against the Minnesota Vikings and he added one grab for five yards on three targets.

Fantasy Spin: Scarbrough is getting his chance down the stretch, but he is gathering small chunks of real estate at a time. None of his runs went for more than seven yards. He is only worth a look in deeper fantasy formats if he continues to see starts down the stretch.

From TheHuddle

Dec 6 4:10pm ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough has taken control of the Lions backfield, but he may not get too many opportunities in Week 14 with the Minnesota Vikings on deck. This game could get out of hand very quickly, which would mean limited touches for Scarbrough as he is not involved in the passing game whatsoever. There is a chance that the Lions lean on the rushing attack with rookie David Blough starting at quarterback, but too much uncertainty remains to trust Scarbrough in this one. He will slot in as an RB4 for this matchup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 29 3:20am ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough rushed 21 times for 83 yards in the Lions Week 13 loss to the Bears. Scarbrough did post a 22-yard run on the day, which was technically his longest, but it was called back due to an illegal block by Kenny Golladay. Scarborough has taken control of the Lions backfield and looks like a borderline RB2/3 for the rest of the season. He will slot in as such in the Lions Week 14 matchup against the Vikings.

From RotoBaller

Nov 28 4:23pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough rushed for 83 yards on 21 carries against the Chicago Bears in Week 13.

Fantasy Spin: Scarbrough has rushed for at least 83 yards in each of the last two games and likely will continue to receive most of the carries moving forward. He can be considered a No. 2 running back or flex option next week.

From TheHuddle

Nov 27 11:40pm ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough has performed very well over the last two weeks, rushing for 153 yards and one touchdown to take control of the Lions backfield. That's likely not going to change this week with backup quarterback Jeff Driskel (hamstring) unable to start and rookie David Blough getting the call. The Lions may not want to test Blough in his first-ever game action against one of the best defenses in the league, so look for the running game to be a focal point as the Lions try to grind this one out. Scarbrough will slot in as a low-end RB2 for this matchup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 9:23pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough rushed 18 times for 98 yards and lost a fumble in a 19-16 loss to the Washington Redskins in Week 12.

Fantasy Spin: No other running back had more than four carries for the Lions, and it appears Scarbrough is the lead back for the time being. Detroit's remaining schedule isn't a walk in the park, but Scrabrough could be a volume-based flex play as long as he remains the starter.

From TheHuddle

Nov 24 6:20pm ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough was the lead rusher for the team for the second straight week in Week 12. He carried the ball 18 times for 98 yards as no other Detroit running back had more than four carries. Scarbrough is the clear No. 1 running back in Detroit right now and it isn't particularly close. He should be a safe bet for around 15 touches until further notice. He'll look to keep rolling in Week 13 against the Bears on Thanksgiving.

From RotoBaller

Nov 21 9:10pm ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough looked solid in Week 11, posting 55 yards on 14 attempts and one touchdown just one day after being promoted from the practice squad. Week 12 presents an excellent opportunity for Scarbrough to take control of a Lions backfield that has been in disarray since Kerryon Johnson (knee) was lost for the season. Backup quarterback Jeff Driskel's tendency to run and the lack of a pass-game role for Scarbrough does limit Scarbrough's ceiling, but he has a real chance to take over as the go-to running back on this squad with no other real threats around. The Lions play the lowly Washington Redskins in Week 12. Fantasy owners can slot Scarbrough in as a RB3 for this matchup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 17 10:40pm ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough took control of the Lions backfield in Week 11, rushing 14 times for 55 yards and a touchdown in the loss. Scarbrough surprisingly out-snapped both Ty Johnson and J.D. McKissic and had 14-of-19 Lions rushing attempts just one day after being promoted from the practice squad. It is very possible Scarbrough reverts back to irrelevance in the coming weeks, but with how good he looked today, fantasy owners may want to get him on their rosters. Both Johnson and McKissic have not been able to take control of this backfield, so the opportunity is there for Scarbrough. The Lions will face the Redskins in Week 12, Scarbrough will slot in as a mid-range RB3 in that matchup.

From RotoBaller
