New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman was charged with a league-high 13 drops in 2019 - five more than he had in 2018.

From TheHuddle

Jan 21 1:40pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman (shoulder) underwent a shoulder procedure last week that is said to involve "not a lengthy rehab," and Edelman is expected to be ready for the team's offseason program, according to a league source. The 33-year-old was noticeably hindered by his shoulder to close out the year, but overall it was a very successful 2019 season. Edelman had 100 receptions for a career-high 1,117 yards and six touchdowns over a full season. It was the second time in his career that he reached the 100-catch mark as quarterback Tom Brady's only real trusted receiving option. Edelman's outlook may change if Brady isn't under center in 2020, but he should at least be a solid WR2 in PPR leagues.

From RotoBaller

Jan 21 1:23pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (shoulder) had a minor shoulder surgery last week, but he's expected to be ready for the offseason program.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman's fantasy value will hinge largely on whether Tom Brady returns to the team. Edelman should be a low-end WR2 in PPR formats.

From TheHuddle

Jan 12 2:53pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (rib) played most of 2019 season with a partially torn rib cartilage, according to sources. Edelman suffered the injury during the Week 3 game but did not miss any time.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman has been the main target in the Patriots passing game for many years but may be playing with a new quarterback in 2020. Fantasy players can monitor the situation because Edelman's fantasy value will depend on the Patriots quarterback.

From TheHuddle

Jan 12 1:23pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman was arrested in California Saturday, Jan. 11, and has been charged with misdemeanor vandalism. He allegedly jumped on the hood of a car and caused damage.

Fantasy Spin: It is not known if Edelman will receive any punishment from the NFL over the arrest, so fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation. Edelman likely will be the No. 1 receiver for the Patriots again next season but his fantasy value is uncertain because of the team's quarterback situation.

From TheHuddle

Jan 10 4:53pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee, shoulder) will undergo surgeries on his knee and shoulder this offseason, according to sources.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman probably will not do much during offseason workouts but probably will be ready for the start of the regular season. He likely will be the No. 1 receiver for the Patriots again next season and can be a No. 2 fantasy receiver.

From TheHuddle

Jan 9 11:33pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman became only the fourth receiver in league history to catch at least 100 passes in his age-33 season in 2019, joining Jerry Rice (122 in 1995), Larry Fitzgerald (107 in 2016) and Derrick Mason (103 in 2007). Of that group, only Rice's 1,848 receiving yards topped Edelman's 1,117.

From TheHuddle

Jan 5 3:00pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman caught only three passes for 30 yards but rushed for a five-yard touchdown in the Patriots Wild Card loss to the Titans. Edelman simply has not been the same player in recent weeks and perhaps a series of injuries had finally caught up to him. Edelman compiled only 137 receiving yards over his final four games and his lack of production devastated a struggling Patriots offense down the stretch. Edelman is coming off one of his best seasons as a pro but his value will mostly be tied to where quarterback Tom Brady plays next season.

From RotoBaller

Jan 5 12:03am ET

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady completed 20 of his 37 passes for 209 yards and an interception in a 20-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans in the Wild Card round Saturday, Jan. 4. RB Sony Michel rushed 14 times for 61 yards and caught two passes for nine yards, and RB James White caught five passes for 62 yards and rushed once for 14 yards. WR Julian Edelman caught three of his five passes for 30 yards and rushed twice for 12 yards and a touchdown, WR N'Keal Harry caught two of his seven targets for 21 yards, WR Mohamed Sanu caught one of his four passes for 11 yards, WR Phillip Dorsett caught one of his four targets for six yards, and TE Benjamin Watson caught three of his four targets for 38 yards. LB Dont'a Hightower led the team with nine tackles, including eight solo stops and one tackle for loss.

From TheHuddle

Jan 4 7:40pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman (knee, shoulder) is active for the wild-card game against the Titans on Saturday night. Linebacker Jamie Collins (shoulder) is also active, while cornerback Jason McCourty (groin) is inactive. Edelman has been far less than 100 percent in the last three weeks, and it's showed in his numbers. Still, he will be quarterback Tom Brady's top target on Saturday against a very mediocre Tennessee defense. Edelman is much riskier than he was when he was getting consistent double-digit targets earlier this year, but he's still not a bad DFS pick when many may be avoiding him. McCourty's absence is good news for A.J. Brown and Corey Davis.

From RotoBaller

Jan 4 6:53pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee, shoulder) is active Saturday, Jan. 4, for the Wild Card Round game against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman will be the No. 1 option for QB Tom Brady and needs to be in fantasy lineups in all formats.

From TheHuddle

Jan 4 3:10pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is a great option for fantasy owners this weekend in DFS games. Edelman has struggled in recent weeks with injuries but reports are positive coming out of training camp, meaning he should be fully involved this week. Tom Brady has long relied on Edelman in important games, and when he last faced the Titans, Edelman caught nine passes for 104 yards. There is no reason why he couldn't repeat that stat line and he should be a fine GPP and cash option this week.

From RotoBaller

Jan 2 5:40pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman (knee, shoulder) was limited in practice all week and is questionable for the wild-card game against the Titans on Saturday night. Edelman clearly isn't 100 percent, but he'll play this weekend. After going eight straight weeks with double-digit targets, Tom Brady's top target has just 18 targets combined in the last three games. Over that span he has just 10 receptions. He'll gut it out once again against Tennessee, but he's become a much riskier DFS target for fantasy owners. As the sixth most expensive wideout on DraftKings, there's more bust potential for Edelman in the postseason.

From RotoBaller

Jan 2 5:33pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee, shoulder) was limited in practice Thursday, Jan. 2, and is listed as questionable for the Wild Card Round matchup with the Tennessee Titans Saturday, Jan. 4.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman caught three of seven targets for 26 yards in the Week 17 finale against the Miami Dolphins. It's tough to see him missing a playoff game due to the injuries, and he'll be a starting option as long as he takes the field.

From TheHuddle

Jan 2 4:33pm ET

New England Patriots LB Ja'Whaun Bentley (knee), DB Terrence Brooks (groin), LB Jamie Collins (shoulder), WR Julian Edelman (knee, shoulder), DB Jonathan Jones (groin) and CB Jason McCourty (groin) were limited in practice all week and are listed as questionable for the team's AFC Wild Card game versus the Tennessee Titans. OL Marcus Cannon (ankle) was not given a practice designation Thursday, Jan. 2, but no longer appears on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Jan 2 2:40pm ET

Tennessee Titans cornerback Adoree' Jackson (foot) said he's good to go for the wild-card game against the Patriots on Saturday night. Jackson, who has missed the last four games, is the Titans' best cover corner, so getting him back for the first game of the playoffs is huge for Tennessee's secondary. It remains to be seen if he'll cover Julian Edelman, New England's top wide receiver, but either way it's good news for the Titans and bad news for a Patriots passing offense that has looked pretty bad the last three weeks with Edelman limited due to various injuries. Edelman will remain a pretty attractive fantasy pick in DFS at his $6,500 salary.

From RotoBaller

Jan 2 12:30pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman (knee, shoulder) will be on the field for the wild-card game against the Titans on Saturday night, and he said he feels good. He's been limited in practice in recent weeks and hasn't put up the numbers he was putting up earlier in the year in the last three weeks while playing hurt. "I feel better than I have in the last few weeks, and I feel good enough to go out and compete at a high level," Edelman said. He has averaged just three catches for 39 yards the last three weeks, but it sounds like his snap count could return to normal for the playoffs. Still, Edelman will be a boom/bust DFS pick after being money in the bank for the majority of the season.

From RotoBaller

Jan 2 9:33am ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee, shoulder) said he feels better than he has in weeks, and he feels good enough to compete at a high level.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman has still been a solid performer in what was his first 100-catch season in five years. He'll be a solid WR2 against the Tennessee Titans in PPR playoff pools.

From TheHuddle

Jan 1 4:43pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee, shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman is in no danger of missing the Wild Card playoff game and will see plenty of targets in the passing game. He can be at least a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 31 6:53pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee, shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman probably will be a limited participant all week but should be ready to play in the Wild Card playoff game. He will continue to be the main option in the passing game and should be a starting option in fantasy leagues.
