Player Notes
Dec 13 4:23pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 13, but is listed as questionable for Week 15.

Fantasy Spin: Conner appears to be on track to play in the Week 15 game, but fantasy players need to check the inactive list to make sure. He will be facing a good Buffalo Bills defense but can still be a No. 2 running back if he receives his normal workload.

Dec 13 3:20pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner was able to practice in full Friday, but has been listed as questionable to suit up for Sundays game versus the Buffalo Bills, in what will likely mirror a game-time decision. Conner has been dealing with a AC joint sprain in his shoulder that has cost him each of the Steelers past three games, but having taken the practice field in full likely bodes well for his chances of suiting up. His return would eliminate nearly all the fantasy value for Benny Snell Jr., while also limiting that of Jaylen Samuels. The Bills boast a solid defensive front that could keep Conner from being a premier RB option during season-long playoff matchups.

Dec 13 2:53pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and TE Vance McDonald (concussion) did not practice Friday, Dec. 13, and have been ruled out for Week 15 against the Buffalo Bills. RB James Conner (shoulder) practiced in full all week and is listed as questionable. RB Jaylen Samuels (groin), OT Alejandro Villanueva (non-injury), OG David DeCastro (non-injury), LB Mark Barron (non-injury), OG Ramon Foster (non-injury), WR Johnny Holton (illness) and C Maurkice Pouncey (non-injury) were full participants at practice Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.

Dec 12 4:03pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 12.

Fantasy Spin: Conner is on track to receive most of the carries in the running game this week. He will have a tough matchup but should still be a No. 2 running back or flex option in leagues.

Dec 12 3:33pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers OG Ramon Foster (non-injury) and WR Johnny Holton (illness) did not take part in practice Thursday, Dec. 12. WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and TE Vance McDonald (concussion) were limited. RB James Conner (shoulder), RB Jaylen Samuels (groin), OT Alejandro Villanueva (non-injury), OG David DeCastro (non-injury), LB Mark Barron (non-injury) and C Maurkice Pouncey (non-injury) practiced in full.

Dec 11 5:30pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and running back James Conner (shoulder) were both full participants in practice on Wednesday. The Steelers are expecting to get both players back for Week 15 against the Bills on Sunday night. Smith-Schuster and Conner have both been out since Nov. 14 and will return to a difficult matchup against a strong Bills Defense. Their pending returns are bad news for Benny Snell Jr. and James Washington mostly. It's likely that Bills shutdown cornerback Tre'Davious White will shadow Smith-Schuster in his return on Sunday evening. This whole offense will receive a boost with both players on track to return, but it's still somewhat limited with Devlin Hodges leading the charge under center.

Dec 11 4:43pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Fantasy Spin: Conner has missed most of the last month because of the injury but appears to be on track for a normal workload this week. He will be facing a good Buffalo Bills defense if he plays but should still be a starting option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 10 2:30pm ET

The Pittsburgh Steelers are expecting to get wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and running back James Conner (shoulder) back in time for their Week 15 game against the Buffalo Bills. Neither has played since getting injured against the Cleveland Browns in Week 11. Both players are expected to practice this week in what would be a big boost to the Pittsburgh offense as the team looks to remain in the playoff picture. Conner's return would come at an especially good time as Jaylen Samuels is looking questionable for this weekend with a groin injury. That being said, fantasy GMs need to temper their expectations for both players as the Bills have been stout on defense this season.

From RotoBaller

Dec 10 1:13pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) is expected to practice at some point this week, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

Fantasy Spin: Conner had yet to receive clearance for contact for Week 14, and that figures to be a formality. Jaylen Samuels (groin) is also banged up, and Benny Snell could be a major factor against the Buffalo Bills. Watch this trio this week.

From TheHuddle

Dec 8 3:03pm ET

The Pittsburgh Steelers have declared CB Artie Burns, QB Paxton Lynch, LB Tuzar Skipper, RB James Conner, OT Chukwuma Okorafor, TE Zach Gentry and WR JuJu Smith-Schuster inactive for Week 14.

From TheHuddle

Dec 6 3:23pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 6, but has been ruled out for Week 14.

Fantasy Spin: Conner appears to be making progress since he was limited during practice this week but is still at least a week away from returning. Benny Snell should receive most of the carries this week and can be a flex option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 6 3:13pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) was unable to practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 14 versus the Arizona Cardinals. RB James Conner (shoulder) was limited in practice all week and has also been ruled out. LB Mark Barron (knee, non-injury) was limited Friday, Dec. 6, but no longer appears on the injury report. WR Diontae Johnson (illness), TE Vance McDonald (non-injury) and OG Ramon Foster (non-injury) practiced in full Friday and also have been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Dec 5 4:23pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 5.

Fantasy Spin: Conner is not expected to play this week even though he has been limited during practice. Benny Snell likely will receive most of the carries against the Arizona Cardinals and can be at least a flex option in leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 5 2:23pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) said Thursday, Dec. 5, that he will miss the team's Week 14 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Spin: Conner has logged only six touches since Week 8, and it's rapidly becoming a lost second half of the season. In the meantime, Benny Snell and Jaylen Samuels are ready to shoulder the backfield load for another week.

From TheHuddle

Dec 5 2:20pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 14 against the Cardinals despite getting in some limited practice this week. It will be his third straight missed game, and fantasy owners shouldn't be holding out much hope that he can help you the rest of the way if you've made the fantasy playoffs. A Pro Bowler in 2018, Conner has disappointed with 390 rushing yards and five missed games. Benny Snell Jr. should continue to carry the load on early downs in Conner's absence. He'll be an upside RB3 in the good matchup with Arizona, but Jaylen Samuels should continue to see more work in the passing game.

From RotoBaller

Dec 4 4:03pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Fantasy Spin: Conner hasn't played since leaving the Week 11 game against the Cleveland Browns. He'll likely return to his full workload once cleared to play and will be an RB2 for the fantasy playoffs.

From TheHuddle

Dec 3 1:33pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) has a chance to practice Wednesday, Dec. 4, and he'll be questionable this week.

Fantasy Spin: Conner is trending up if he could potentially practice early in the week. Conner will have a good matchup against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14 if he can go. He'd be a low-end RB2.

From TheHuddle

Dec 3 12:50pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said that there is no clarity yet on wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) or running back James Conner (shoulder), and they are both questionable to play in Week 14 against the Cardinals. Both players were in the training room on Monday, and Conner has a chance to practice on Wednesday. Conner and Smith-Schuster have both been out since Nov. 14. You shouldn't be counting on either if you made the fantasy playoffs. Benny Snell Jr. has been seeing most of the early down work in Conner's absence, but he has been ceding pass-game work to Jaylen Samuels and others, so he's a touchdown-dependent RB3, at best. In JuJu's absence, James Washington has stepped up and become flex-worthy for fantasy owners. Both he and Diontae Johnson could have good games against Arizona's non-existent secondary if Smith-Schuster misses another game. Keep a close eye on their practices statuses this week.

From RotoBaller

Dec 1 11:53am ET

From TheHuddle
