Player Notes
Dec 22 9:13pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough rushed eight times for 34 yards in a 27-17 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 16.

Fantasy Spin: With Kerryon Johnson back in the mix, Scarbrough played second fiddle in the Detroit backfield. As a volume-based fantasy option, Scarbrough won't be worth starting unless Johnson ends up sitting in the season finale.

From TheHuddle

Dec 22 3:10pm ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough (ribs) is active for Week 16 against the Broncos. Scarbrough is returning after a one-week absence, but he won't be fantasy relevant for the fantasy finals with Kerryon Johnson (knee) coming off Injured Reserve. Johnson could have his snaps limited after a two-month absence, but his presence alone in this backfield makes Scarbrough mostly a non-factor. With both Johnson and Scarbrough active, Wes Hills will be a healthy scratch. It's tough to trust anyone in Detroit's offense with quarterback David Blough leading this team.

From RotoBaller

Dec 22 2:53pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) is officially active for the team's Week 16 game.

Fantasy Spin: Scarbrough likely will see a smaller role in the offense with Kerryon Johnson back in the lineup. Fantasy players should be able to find better players to use and can keep Scarbrough on the bench.

From TheHuddle

Dec 20 5:53pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 20, and is listed as questionable for Week 16.

Fantasy Spin: Scarbrough was not able to play last week and probably will be a game-time decision this week. He can be at least a flex option if he is able to play, but fantasy players will need other options available in case he is ruled out.

From TheHuddle

Dec 20 5:13pm ET

Detroit Lions LB Christian Jones (shoulder), DT A'Shawn Robinson (shoulder) and OT Ricky Wagner (knee) did not practice Friday, Dec. 20, and have been ruled out for Week 16 versus the Denver Broncos. LB Devon Kennard (hamstring) and RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) were limited in practice Friday and are listed as questionable. DT Damon Harrison (knee, calf, rest) was also limited Friday but no longer appears on the injury report. LB Steve Longa (quad) practiced in full all week and has also been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Dec 20 4:30pm ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough (ribs) was limited in practice all week and is questionable to play in Week 16 against the Broncos. All signs point to Kerryon Johnson (knee) coming off Injured Reserve to play this Sunday, but if he doesn't, it'll be some combination of rookies Wes Hills, Ty Johnson and J.D. McKissic. Johnson would likely be limited if he returns after a two-month absence, and quarterback David Blough under center would make him more of a weak RB3. Scarbrough would be nothing more than a desperation RB3/flex if he's active and Johnson doesn't play against Denver.

From RotoBaller

Dec 19 6:23pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 19.

Fantasy Spin: Scarbrough appears to have a chance to play this week, but fantasy players should monitor the situation. He can be considered a No. 2 running back or flex option if he is active for the game.

From TheHuddle

Dec 18 4:40pm ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough (ribs) was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. Scarbrough missed the Week 15 game against the Buccaneers, but he could be on track to return this Sunday in a matchup with the Broncos on the road. Even so, Scarbrough could be limited for a tanking Lions team in a tough matchup. He's averaging a solid 4.2 yards per carry and has 301 yards on his 72 carries through four games this year, but Scarbrough would be a shaky RB3/flex for an offense that is being led by third-string quarterback David Blough.

From RotoBaller

Dec 18 4:23pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Fantasy Spin: Scarbrough had been a steady flex option from Weeks 11-14 before sitting out Week 15. He'll have a tough matchup against the Denver Broncos if he's able to return this week, and he should be considered a roster option only in deeper leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 15 12:20pm ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough (ribs) is officially inactive for Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Scarbrough wasn't able to practice on Thursday or Friday, so it was likely a longshot for him to play anyway. Ty Johnson, J.D. McKissic, and practice-squad call-up Wes Hills will lead the backfield in Scarbrough's absence. All are shaky plays, considering Tampa Bay possesses the league's best run defense.

From RotoBaller

Dec 15 11:53am ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) is not active for Week 15's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

From TheHuddle

Dec 15 11:33am ET

The Detroit Lions have declared DL A'Shawn Robinson, OG Beau Benzschawel, RB Bo Scarbrough, QB Matthew Stafford, CB Michael Jackson, LB Christian Jones and OT Ricky Wagner inactive for Week 15.

From TheHuddle

Dec 15 10:00am ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough (ribs) is a game-time decision for Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 23-year-old is trending in the wrong direction, with two DNPs on Thursday and Friday after practicing in limited fashion on Wednesday. Even if healthy, Scarbrough is hard to trust against the Buccaneers' league-best run defense. Fellow backs J.D. McKissic and Ty Johnson will shoulder the load if Scarborough is ultimately unable to suit up.

From RotoBaller

Dec 15 9:53am ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) is considered a game-time decision for Week 15's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: Scarbrough was listed as questionable on the injury report after missing the team's two most recent practice sessions during the week. He would be a risky flex option for deeper fantasy formats if he is active because of the injury and difficult matchup versus the Tampa Bay defense. If Scarbrough is unable to suit up, Ty Johnson and J.D. McKissic would likely split carries in the Detroit backfield.

From TheHuddle

Dec 13 9:33pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) believes he and RB Kerryon Johnson (knee) can be a 'dominant' tandem whenever Johnson is activated from the Reserve/Injured list. 'Kerryon has his style of running, and I have my style of running, and when you get two guys with different styles, but somewhat similar, I think it's harder for the defense because you don't actually switch out linebackers and safeties,' Scarbrough said.

Fantasy Spin: Scarbrough has emerged as a workhorse for Detroit in Johnson's absence, logging at least 18 carries and no fewer than 65 yards in three straight games. Still, he hasn't shown much in the way of explosiveness, and as a volume-based fantasy option, it is unlikely Scarbrough will have much value whenever Johnson does return.

From TheHuddle

Dec 13 7:33pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 13, and is listed as questionable for Week 15.

Fantasy Spin: Scarbrough likely will be a game-time decision, so fantasy players will need to check the inactive list for his official status. He would be facing a tough Tampa Bay Buccaneers run defense but could still be a flex option if he plays.

From TheHuddle

Dec 13 4:53pm ET

Detroit Lions OG Joe Dahl (back, knee), LB Jarrad Davis (ankle, knee), DT A'Shawn Robinson (shoulder), QB Matthew Stafford (hip, back) and OT Ricky Wagner (knee) were unable to practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. DT John Atkins (illness) and RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) did not practice Friday, Dec. 13, and are listed as questionable. LB Christian Jones (shoulder) was limited in practice all week and is also listed as questionable. DT Damon Harrison (calf, knee, shoulder, rest) was limited in practice Friday but has been removed from the injury report. CB Jamal Agnew (ankle), DE Austin Bryant (hip), P Sam Martin (abdomen) and CB Rashaan Melvin (ribs) practiced in full Friday and also no longer appear on the injury report.

Detroit Lions OG Joe Dahl (back, knee), LB Jarrad Davis (ankle, knee), DT Damon Harrison (calf, knee, shoulder, rest), DT A'Shawn Robinson (shoulder), RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs), QB Matthew Stafford (hip, back) and OT Ricky Wagner (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 12. DE Austin Bryant (hip), LB Christian Jones (shoulder) and P Sam Martin (abdomen) were limited. CBs Jamal Agnew (ankle) and CB Rashaan Melvin (ribs) practiced in full.

From TheHuddle

Dec 12 4:30pm ET

Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough (ribs) was downgraded to out of practice on Thursday after getting in a limited session on Wednesday. It puts Scarbrough in danger of missing Week 15 against the Buccaneers, especially if he misses another practice on Friday. Even if Scarbrough plays, he'll be more of a low-upside RB3/flex in a tough matchup with a surprisingly good Buccaneers run defense this year. Rookie Ty Johnson and J.D. McKissic would split the workload in the backfield if Scarbrough is inactive this Sunday. Detroit's offense under third-string quarterback David Blough is limping to the finish line.

From RotoBaller

Dec 12 4:23pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough (ribs) did not take part in practice Thursday, Dec. 12.

Fantasy Spin: Scarbrough has been a steady if not unspectacular fantasy option since taking over the lead job in Week 11. If he cannot go in Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Lions would likely split work between Ty Johnson and J.D. McKissic. If he misses more than one week, Kerryon Johnson (knee) could return from IR and take back the starting job in Week 16.
