The Bears selected Oklahoma State tackle Teven Jenkins with the 39th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. With Chicago having one of the worst lines in the league last season, the team will need all the help it can get to keep opposing defenses from smothering Andy Dalton and David Montgomery. Jenkins can slide in at either side of the line, and his size and raw ability will be useful in helping Justin Fields remain upright moving ahead.

With the No. 11 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears have traded up with the New York Giants and selected Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields. Fields has been one of the top two quarterbacks in this class since high school, but dropped in the lead up to the draft, eventually winding up as the fourth quarterback taken. Considering Fields ended his college career with a 68.4 completion percentage including a 70.2 percent mark last year with 67 touchdowns, nine interceptions, and 19 rushing touchdowns, the drop out of the top 10 was a little confusing. He'll initially compete with Andy Dalton for the starting role, but it shouldn't take Fields too long to grab the starting role for the Bears. He's a fringe dynasty QB1 option and a solid re-draft QB2 if he's able to claim the starting role immediately due to his accuracy and his ability to create when things break down.

Several teams have been making calls about getting into the top 10 of this week's NFL draft, including the New England Patriots, who could be eyeing Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields if he begins to fall in the early part of the first round. The current sweet spot is No. 7 overall with the Detroit Lions, who would likely be open to trading back to acquire more draft picks as they look to rebuild. The Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos at No. 8 and No. 9, respectively, are both candidates to draft a quarterback or offensive lineman. The Patriots re-signed Cam Newton to a one-year deal, but he didn't look all that great in 2020, and the team is still searching for a long-term solution under center. New England would likely need to give up a second-rounder to move up from No. 15 overall. The Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings may also be making calls while looking to trade up into the top 10.

Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields confirmed to NFL teams during the pre-draft process that he is managing epilepsy, a neurological disorder that can cause seizures. However, it has not affected his football career, and doctors think Fields will outgrow it like his other family members have. It's something to watch, but it's unlikely to keep Fields from being a top-five pick in the first round next Thursday. The young signal-caller is extremely talented and athletic and is a perfect fit as a modern-day quarterback in today's NFL. Fields can beat teams with both his arms and his legs, and he'll have a pretty high ceiling in the long term if he lands in the right offensive system. The San Francisco 49ers will be in play at No. 3 overall for the Ohio State product.

Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields will throw for NFL teams again on April 14, with San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch expected to attend. Both Shanahan and Lynch watched quarterback Mac Jones and others at Alabama's Pro Day while Fields was working out at his school's Pro Day on the same day. The Jaguars are expect to take Clemson's Trevor Lawrence first overall and the Jets are expected to draft BYU's Zach Wilson at No. 2, which could leave the 49ers with Fields at No. 3 overall in this year's draft. Fields is extremely talented, mobile and athletic under center and also has the required arm strength. While he has a lot of room to grow, Fields' fantasy and real-life ceiling would be sky-high if he lands with Shanahan in San Francisco.

Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields was clocked at a 4.44-second 40-yard dash at his school's Pro Day on Tuesday. The only first-round quarterback to run a faster 40-yard dash at the combine since 2006 than Fields' unofficial 4.44-second time was Robert Griffin III. Griffin ran a 4.41-second 40-yard dash at the 2012 combine. Fields, who stands at 6-foot-3, 228 pounds, is expected to be taken in the first round in next month's NFL draft, and he could go within the top-five picks. Along with Fields, Clemson's Trevor Lawrence, BYU's Zach Wilson, Alabama's Mac Jones and North Dakota State's Trey Lance are also expected to be selected in the first round. Fields threw for 5,373 yards, 63 touchdowns and nine interceptions in two seasons at Ohio State after starting his career at Georgia.

Ohio State star quarterback Justin Fields announced on Twitter his intentions to forego his remaining eligibility and enter the 2021 NFL draft. He is considered one of the nation's top prospects after leading the Buckeyes to the national championship game, where they fell to Alabama. Fields beat Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence in the semifinals by throwing six touchdowns despite suffering a hip pointer in the game. The 6-foot-3, 228-pounder was 20-2 in his time as the Ohio State starter while completing 68.4 percent of his passes and a 63:9 touchdown-to-interception ratio in his two seasons with the Buckeyes. Fields also ran for 867 yards (4.0 yards per carry) and 15 touchdowns. Lawrence is projected to go to the Jaguars at No. 1 overall, but the Jets could snag Fields with the No. 2 pick this April.
