2021 RTSports Outlook

Adams missed four games last season because of injury but still managed to finish 23rd overall in fantasy receiver scoring. He was the clear top option for the Packers, getting a ton of weekly targets. He had 83 receptions on 127 targets. Adams had five 100-yard games and was just three yards shy of a 1,000-yard season. He also had eight games with seven or more receptions. Adams will continue to be the top option in the Packers passing attack. Adams has just one 1,000-yard season as a pro but his production has really increased in recent seasons as the clear No. 1 for Green Bay. Adams is a big, athletic target that does a good job of making the tough catch. He also has pretty good hands but battled some drops in the past. He lacks a little top-end speed, but that hasn't slowed him much to date. Fantasy Outlook: Adams is a surefire No. 1 fantasy receiver. He should be considered a top five fantasy receiver. His production is super consistent and a top red-zone target. He should get around 100 receptions, 1,200 yards and 12 or so scores.

RotoBaller's Outlook

Green Bay Packers WR and number-one offensive option Davante Adams is a "when", not "if" guy if there ever was one. Adams is the definition of a go-to option for QB Aaron Rodgers in an offense that ultimately isn't expected to change much at all, even as the team that was expected to draft an additional receiving threat to pair with Adams did nothing of the sort. One target away from being tied for most targeted receiver of 2018, injuries ultimately cost Adams four games, and he ultimately only topped ten receptions in one more game for the remainder of the season as the injury lingered.Ultimately the down year for Adams may mean he falls a few spots in your league, but is worthy of the second round receiver status he merits. While last year's touchdown total was disappointing, Adams still ranks at the top of his position for receiving touchdowns from 2016-2019. Entering his 27-year old season, the talented pass catcher is still a consistent scoring threat, with the continued makings of a WR1.

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams led the league with 13 receiving touchdowns inside the 10 in 2020, according to Pro Football Focus.

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams is a candidate for a contract extension this offseason because the team can reduce his 2021 salary cap number with a new contract.

Fantasy Spin: Adams has been one of the top receivers in the NFL for the last several season and will continue his strong play next season if Aaron Rodgers returns. He should be one of the first receivers selected in fantasy drafts next season.

From TheHuddle

Jan 24 6:50pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams caught nine passes for 67 yards with one touchdown in the team's 31-26 loss to the Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game. Tampa Bay did all it could to contain Adams and, for the most part, did a solid job. But Adams is too talented to be shut down for long and picked up his 20th (regular season and playoffs combined) touchdown of the season. The elite receiver was able to move the chains on some smaller receptions but was unable to truly bust out. Adams finished the regular season with 115 receptions for 1,374 yards and 18 touchdowns.. He then backed that up with 18 receptions and two touchdowns in two playoff games. Adams will sit atop the fantasy charts among wide receivers heading into the offseason.

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers completed 33-of-48 passes for 346 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the NFC Championship Game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. RB Aaron Jones, who left the game early due to injury, left the team with 27 yards on six rushes. RB Jamaal Williams ran seven times for 23 yards and added four receptions for 22 yards. WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling led the way with a game-high 115 yards on four receptions and a score, while WR Davante Adams had nine grabs for 67 yards and a score on 15 targets. WR Allen Lazard checked in with three receptions for 62 yards, while TE Marcedes Lewis had three grabs for 28 yards. TE Robert Tonyan also checked in with four grabs, 22 yards and a score. CB Jaire Alexander led the way with two interceptions, while totaling three total tackles and three passes defensed.

While the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Defense has been really good and even shut the Packers down earlier this season, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams is simply too good to downgrade too much in this matchup. He was targeted 10 times the last time these teams faced, catching six passes for 61 yards. It was one of just three games this season where he didn't find the end zone. Adams is one of the NFL's most consistently good wideouts, and while his floor might be lower than normal this week, his ceiling remains very high. Don't be overexposed to him in DFS, but don't ignore Adams on this slate.

Jan 21 11:03pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams led the NFL with 23 red zone receptions and 14 red zone touchdowns in 2020, and his 46 red zone touchdowns since 2016 are 17 more than any other player.

Fantasy Spin: Adams led the NFL with 18 receiving touchdowns, tied for second with 115 receptions and finished in a tie for fifth in receiving yards. His status as the unquestioned go-to target for Aaron Rodgers should continue to make him one of the safest fantasy options at any position for the foreseeable future.

Jan 16 7:50pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams caught nine passes for 66 yards with one touchdown in the team's 32-18 victory over the Rams in the NFC Divisional Round. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers found Adams in a familiar place, the end zone, in the first quarter for a one-yard touchdown and a 10-3 lead at the time. Adams was targeted 10 times in the game but did his damage in the intermediary passing game. Even in games when opponents focus intently on bottling up Adams, his connection with Rodgers in the red zone is undeniable. Adams will be a top choice among wide receivers next week in the NFC Championship Game.

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers completed 23 of 36 pass attempts for 296 yards and two touchdowns and scored a rushing touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Playoffs. Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams will go up against a talented Rams secondary on Saturday in the NFC Divisional Round. The Rams secondary allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers this season and have held the position to only seven touchdowns all season. The matchup is stiff but enter Adams, who has been the most dynamic receiver in fantasy football this season. The talented receiver has been incredible all season, posting scores (18 total) in 12 of the 14 games he played this season. Adams at one point scored touchdowns in eight straight games and finished the season with 115 receptions for 1,374 yards. The production of Adams on Saturday may dictate whether the Packers move on to the next round and he will carry WR1 status for this weekend's slate of games.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams became the only player in NFL history in 2020 with 100-plus catches and 18 touchdowns in a single regular season. He's also the only player to average eight-plus catches per game and one-plus touchdown per game. Adams averaged a league-high 3.1 receiving yards per route run this year, According to Next Gen Stats. He's the first player to lead the NFL in receiving yards per game and touchdowns in a season since 2004. Adams is one of four players with 500-plus catches and 50-plus touchdowns since 2014. It will be interesting to see how he fares against Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey, an elite lockdown corner who should follow Adams around on Saturday. Green Bay may use Adams more in the slot in order to try and avoid Ramsey in the Divisional Round. Adams is an elite WR for fantasy managers, but things won't be easy against Ramsey and the Rams this weekend. Seven of Adams' 18 TDs came when aligned in the slot this year, third-most in the NFL.

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams has been out of practice this week, but 'it's just rest,' head coach Matt LaFleur said Friday, Jan. 9, adding that he has no concerns on Adams' availability for the team's NFC divisional-round playoff game next weekend.

Fantasy Spin: Adams is immensely valuable to the Packers' Super Bowl chances after leading the league with 18 receiving TDs and an average of 98.1 receiving yards per game. We'll certainly monitor Adams' status next week to be sure, but count on him being formidably fresh for the divisional round.

Dec 31 3:50pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams will try and help his team lock up home-field advantage with a victory over the Bears in Week 17. Chicago also needs a win to just to get into the playoffs and the Bears Defense is allowing the fifth fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers this season. But Adams is no ordinary receiver and will head into Week 17 with an astounding 109 receptions for 1,328 yards and 17 touchdowns. The matchup against the Bears may look tough on paper but Adams caught six passes for 61 yards and one touchdown against them in Week 12. The star receiver has at least seven receptions in 10 games this season and has eclipsed 100-plus receiving yards in a game seven times. Adams will be the main focal point of the Packers passing attack in Week 17 and a clear-cut WR1 choice.

Packers' WR Davante Adams scored an impressive 43.20 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 16 win against the Titans. Adams caught 11 passes for 142 yards with three touchdowns. It's the 6th time this season Adams scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Dec 28 3:30pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams caught 11 of 12 targets for 142 receiving yards and three touchdowns in a 40-14 win over the Titans. Adams was outstanding, consistently beating the Titans' defensive backs all night. He was particularly a terror in the red zone, scoring on a screen pass, a fade, and a route where he was left open in the back of the end zone. Adams has already set a career-high in touchdowns with 17 and is approaching career-best marks in receptions and yards with one game left to play. He'll take on the Bears in Week 17, who allowed a 9-61-1 line in their first meeting.

Dec 28 2:13am ET

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams hauled in 11 passes for 142 yards and three touchdowns during the team's Week 16 win over the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Spin: Coming off his worst performance of 2020, Adams rebounded in a huge way as he was on the receiving end of three of Rodgers' four TD passes and added an incredible sideline catch in the fourth quarter as an exclamation point. He posted a relatively quiet 6-61-1 line against the Bears the last time he faced them, but Adams has long been a matchup-proof WR1 and Week 17 is no exception.

From TheHuddle

Dec 27 11:30pm ET

Packers' WR Davante Adams had 11 receptions for 142 yards with three touchdowns in Sunday's win against the Titans.

Dec 24 4:00pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams will try and bounce back from a disappointing fantasy performance last week when the team takes on the Titans in Week 16. Adams' streak of eight straight games with a touchdown was snapped last week as the star receiver posted only 42 receiving yards. He certainly has the type of matchup to get back on the right track going up against a Titans Defense that is allowing the fifth most fantasy points to opposing receivers. Tennessee has allowed 15 touchdowns to the position and six different receivers have posted 16 or more fantasy points against them over their last four games. Adams will have an excellent chance to add to his 14 touchdowns in Week 16 and should be considered an easy WR1 call.

From RotoBaller

Dec 20 12:20am ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams had seven receptions in Saturday's win over the Carolina Panthers but finished with just 42 yards and no receptions. It was the second-lowest yardage output of the season for Adams and his first time since Week 6 to not catch a touchdown. It was a letdown for fantasy managers who were hoping for Adams to continue his recent dominance, but managers who are lucky enough to survive and make the championship game can still feel confident in Adams as a high-end WR1 based on his recent play.

From RotoBaller

Dec 20 12:13am ET

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams caught seven of his 10 targets for 42 yards in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Spin: Adams entered this contest on an eight-game scoring streak and had obviously set an incredibly high bar with his play up to this point. While the Panthers did a great job of getting him on the ground on short grabs that typically allow him to create yards after the catch, it was stunning to see Aaron Rodgers unable to find his favorite receiver over the middle of the field at least once or twice. Assuming his fantasy owners can overcome this performance, Adams will be in the overall WR1 consideration in Week 16 versus the Tennessee Titans.
