Washington Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown caught both targets for 57 yards and a score. Brown found the end zone for the first time this season in the second quarter on a 41-yard strike from Jayden Daniels. Brown has typically been deployed as the No.3/No.4 wideout but had a few more opportunities this afternoon with Noah Brown (groin) sidelined. Brown should be left on most waiver wires for now, but he could be worth a speculative flier in deeper leagues if Brown remains out in Week 6.

Washington Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown looks to emerge as the No.2 wideout in the season opener but should be left out of your starting lineups this weekend. Brown flashed some upside during the preseason, especially in the opening game, where he caught a 42-yard pass from Jayden Daniels. In the second game, he continued to build a connection with Daniels by seeing three targets from him on just one drive. Through his first three seasons in Washington, the UNC product totaled only 476 yards and three scores, making him a boom-or-bust option in Week 1. However, if Brown can claim the No.2 spot on the depth chart, he could become a solid flex play as the season progresses as Daniels develops as a passer.

With the recent trading of former teammate Jahan Dotson, Washington Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown has been catapulted into the team's starting lineup. He now sits No. 2 behind Terry McLaurin on Washington's depth chart. Brown has looked solid this preseason and will have a chance to earn more consistent targets in his new starting role. The former Tarheel has garnered a 91.1 grade from PFF for his play this August and now has five catches (two contested) on six targets for 74 yards and a 118.1 rating when targeted. While the 24-year-old has totaled just 29 receptions over his first three seasons as a pro, he stands an excellent shot to provide some value in fantasy drafts this season in a wide-open Washington wide receiver room. Brown is currently Yahoo!'s WR409, though that is expected to change over the next few weeks.

Dynasty | Dyami Brown moves up the depth chart after the Eagles traded for Jahan Dotson. Dynasty Analysis: Interesting. The trade of Dotson clearly paves the way for Brown to have a much bigger role in the Commanders offense this year. While he hasn't done much in his three years (62/476/3), he's also only had 62 career targets. If the Commanders don't make other moves, that number could change dramatically this season. Brown is clearly now on the sleeper radar and worth a roster spot in dynasty leagues.

Washington Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown shined once again on Saturday evening and is making a strong case to be the No. 2 wideout in the nation's capital. On Saturday, Brown saw three targets from Jayden Daniels, which tied Terry McLaurin for the most looks from the rookie quarterback. Brown caught all three of these targets in the opening drive for 19 yards. Earlier this week, head coach Dan Quinn expressed that there is still an open competition for the No. 2 wide receiver spot on the depth chart and currently, Brown may be in the lead. Last week, Brown caught 55 yards, which was highlighted by an impressive 42-yard catch. Fantasy managers should continue to pay close attention to how Brown finishes the preseason, as he could be a steal in deeper leagues this fall.

Washington Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown led all Washington wideouts on Saturday afternoon as he totaled 55 yards on two receptions. His first catch came on the opening drive off a great contested 42-yard pass from rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. Later in the game, the former North Carolina product caught his other pass from Jeff Driskel for 13 yards in the second quarter. This was a great opening game for Brown as he struggled last season, holding a disappointing 52.2% catch rate, which placed him in the 17th percentile among all receivers. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor how Brown plays in the preseason, as he could claim the third spot in the wide receiver room that is open with Curtis Samuel now in Buffalo. If Brown continues to play well, especially with the First-team, he should be in the driver's seat to see consistent playing time in the fall.

May 25 11:30am ET

Washington Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown's stock is down this offseason after the team added Olamide Zaccheaus in free agency and drafted Luke McCaffrey in the third round. Brown, a third-round pick in 2021, has just 29 receptions in his three NFL seasons, and two of his three career touchdowns came in one game. He offers a different player profile than both Zaccheaus and McCaffrey, but Washington's previous staff made Brown available at last year's trade deadline, according to league sources. Another challenge for Brown will be the fact that the Commanders love to use 12 personnel, which means two tight ends on the field at the expense of a receiver. The presence of pass-catching running back Austin Ekeler also likely cuts down the available snaps for Brown in 2024.
