Houston Texans RB Nick Chubb rushed 17 times for 56 yards in Week 8 against the San Francisco 49ers, while adding two receptions for 13 yards on his two targets.
Fantasy Spin: Chubb averaged just 3.3 yards per carry (YPC), while Marks (11-62-0) had 5.6 YPC. While the two split the backfield carries, Marks was far more effective, and he has been showing a little more burst. Chubb is still worth a look as a flex fantasy play, but he is likely to be in a split, at best, and his role could diminish as the season wears on.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans running back Nick Chubb played his smallest share of snaps of the season in Week 7 in the Texans' loss, but he still has the potential to bounce back this week against San Francisco. Chubb played 25% of snaps and had five carries for 16 rushing yards, while also hauling in one of his three targets for a loss of five yards. Before the game, head coach DeMeco Ryans made a big deal of needing to establish the run against, but the game plan didn't turn out that way. Chubb still seems to have a hold on early-down work with Woody Marks and Dare Obunbowale taking over on passing downs. Before the bye week, Chubb had a pair of busy games against the Titans and Ravens when the Texans played from ahead. He could be more in the mix, depending on the game flow this week against San Francisco. He is the RB31 in RotoBaller's rankings, making him a high-risk option in a flex or RB3 spot this week, especially since his role in the passing game is limited. In his favor, though, the 49ers have allowed five running back touchdowns in their last three games.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans RB Nick Chubb carried the ball five times for 16 yards against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7. He added one reception for minus-five yards.
Fantasy Spin: It's not as though Chubb has been lighting things up this year, but Monday night represented a new low with just 11 yards of total offense. He also saw less work than Woody Marks, though whether that was a new direction coming out of the bye or just a result of playing from behind all night can't be known for certain. The veteran isn't what he was before the leg injury, but he's a steadying presence and a tough runner. All of which combines to give him flex/RB4 value at this stage with downside if the team decides they're better off with the younger Marks getting a larger share.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans RB Nick Chubb faces the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7, and the Seahawks are allowing the second-fewest rushing yards per game (79.0) and have surrendered a league-low two rushing touchdowns.
Fantasy Spin: Chubb had a season-high 61 rushing yards and a touchdown last time out against Baltimore, but while the Ravens have been one of the worst defensive units, the Seahawks have been one of the stingiest. Chubb will be a risky flex option in Week 7.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans running back Nick Chubb will be back on the field on Monday night against the Seahawks after his team's Week 6 bye week. Chubb went into the bye week with a strong performance, totaling 61 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Ravens on just 11 carries. He has seen his snap share start to slip a bit, though, dropping from around 50% the first three weeks of the season to just 34% in Week 5. He still had more carries than any other running back in that win, though, and he seems to be the go-to option on early downs and in run-focused situations. He'll remain in a timeshare with rookie Woody Marks and Dameon Pierce on Monday, but he still brings enough touchdown-dependent upside to be an RB3 or flex play since he is the No. 29 RB this week in RotoBaller's rankings.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans RB Nick Chubb 'still has the playing time edge' over RB Woody Marks in games where Houston can lean on the run, according to Dan Graziano of ESPN.com.
Fantasy Spin: Chubb has received more carries than Marks in four of the five games this season and has 22 more carries overall. Marks has more upside in the passing game, but it sounds like Chubb is going to remain the lead back for the time being. Chubb can be a flex option for fantasy owners while Marks is worth a bench spot as an insurance policy for Chubb.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans RB Nick Chubb rushed for 61 yards and one touchdown on 11 carries against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5.
Fantasy Spin: Chubb was part of a committee during the game but led the team in carries and was able to find the end zone. He will continue to share playing time after the Week 6 bye but can be at least a flex option in most fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans running back Nick Chubb played at least 50% of snaps in each of the first three weeks of the season, but he only played 42% of snaps in Week 4, as rookie running back Woody Marks seized the spotlight. Chubb still did have 13 carries and two catches, but only totaled 62 rushing and receiving yards. He may go from slightly more than half the work to slightly less than half the work this week as the Texans take on the Ravens, but he still has touchdown-dependent flex potential. He's the RB31 in RotoBaller's rankings, partly because the Ravens have been the most generous team in the NFL to running backs this season, so if he does get work, he could find space to operate.

Houston Texans RB Nick Chubb rushed for 47 yards on 13 carries against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4. He also caught two passes for 15 yards during the game.
Fantasy Spin: Chubb had a solid role in the offense over the first four weeks of the season but could lose some work to Woody Marks moving forward. He has received at least 12 carries in three of the four games this season and could see a similar workload next week. He could be a flex option in some deeper leagues against the Baltimore Ravens.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans RB Nick Chubb faces the Tennessee Titans in Week 4, and the Titans have allowed six rushing touchdowns in three games while allowing the fourth-most rushing yards and fourth-most yards per carry.
Fantasy Spin: The Houston offense has struggled to start the year, but Chubb has been the No. 1 option in the backfield, leading the team in carries and rushing yards. That workload could lead to a solid performance against a struggling Tennessee run defense, and Chubb is an appealing flex option in Week 4.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans running back Nick Chubb is set to make another start for the Texans in a favorable spot against the Titans this Sunday afternoon in Houston. Chubb has been the team's primary running back for the first three games of the season, and he should remain in a very involved role with Joe Mixon (foot, ankle) still without a clear timeframe for a return. Chubb had totaled 34 carries for 141 yards (4.1 yards per carry) and one touchdown and added five catches for 31 more yards. Chubb has played just over 50% of the team's snaps in each week, but his carries and rushing yards have trended down each week. He'll look to flip that script in this week's matchup against the Titans, who have allowed the third-most fantasy points to running backs in the NFL this season. Chubb is still just the RB26 in RotoBaller's Week 4 rankings, so he's not a starter in standard-sized leagues unless he's your best play at a flex spot. He will be a touchdown-dependent option as he tries to help the Texans' offense get rolling after their 0-3 start.

Houston Texans RB Nick Chubb rushed nine times for a team-best 38 yards in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, while adding three receptions for just two targets on four targets.
Fantasy Spin: Chubb has been holding down the fort as the top option in the run game, but he hasn't done much. He remains more of a low-end RB3 or flex fantasy option in leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 4.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans running back Nick Chubb continues to dominate the playing time and most of the workload in the backfield, and he'll be an RB3 or flex option this week as he visits Jacksonville for a divisional contest. Chubb had 12 carries for 43 yards and a 25-yard touchdown in the Texans' one-point loss on Monday, and he played 53% of the team's snaps. Before his touchdown, he had only 11 carries for 18 rushing yards, but that touchdown saved his fantasy day. He also caught both of his targets for 29 receiving yards. Chubb will continue to get plenty of work but will only be an RB3 in Week 3 against the Jaguars, who have been good against running backs in the early part of this season. Chubb is the No. 26 RB this week, making him a solid flex play in most formats, although he will remain very touchdown-reliant since the Texans' offensive line isn't opening up much space.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans RB Nick Chubb ran 12 times for 43 yards and a touchdown versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2. He also caught two passes for 29 yards.
Fantasy Spin: While his final numbers (72 yards, 1 TD) were decent, most of Chubb's production came on his final carry of the night, which was a 25-yard touchdown burst. Prior to that, he had 11 carries for 18 yards. Houston's running game struggled for most of Monday night, and it remains far from clear whether Chubb still has what it takes to be a featured back. For now, though, he's their best option, which keeps him in that RB3/flex area.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans running back Nick Chubb rushed for 43 yards on 12 carries and a touchdown while adding two receptions for 29 yards in a Monday night loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Chubb started the game looking good with an explosive gain for 27 yards on a screen pass. He was mostly inefficient on the ground against a stingy Tampa Bay front with Vita Vea and Company. Outside of his 25-yard touchdown run, Chubb rushed for only 18 yards on 11 of his other carries. The 29-year-old looks to be the main back in Houston with Joe Mixon (ankle, foot) out of the picture for the foreseeable future. He handled 12 of the 15 running back carries while playing 52% of the snaps. There may not be a ton of upside with Chubb moving forward with a poor offensive line and offensive environment, but Chubb is a freak athlete who could still have something left. He looks like he will continue to get volume, and if quarterback C.J. Stroud and the Texans offense can find a groove, then he could be valuable. For now, he'll project as a touchdown-dependent RB3.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said in a radio appearance that he wants to get veteran running back Nick Chubb more touches. With Joe Mixon (ankle, foot) on the Non-Football Injury list to begin the season, Chubb handled 13 carries for a team-high 60 yards in the Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday. The 29-year-old four-time Pro Bowler may never be as dominant as he was in his days with the Cleveland Browns before he suffered a gruesome knee injury in 2023, but his role as the unquestioned RB1 for now in Houston makes him worth rostering in all fantasy leagues. Chubb had 10 more carries than the next RB in Week 1 and could have a similar dominant touch share on Monday night versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He's rostered in 72% of Yahoo leagues, so if he's still available in your league, pick him up immediately.
