Player Notes
Dec 6 8:43pm ET

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman (ribs) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 6, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.

Fantasy Spin: Freeman has received under 10 touches in each of the last four games and will be facing a solid Houston Texans defense this week. Fantasy players can bench Freeman if they have better options available.

From TheHuddle

Dec 6 6:03pm ET

Denver Broncos OG Ronald Leary (concussion) was unable to practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 14 versus the Houston Texans. LB Malik Reed (ankle, shoulder) and LB Von Miller (knee) were limited in practice Friday, Dec. 6, and are listed as questionable. OT Ja'Wuan James (knee) practiced in full all week but is also listed as questionable. S Will Parks (hand), LB Jeremiah Attaochu (leg), RB Royce Freeman (ribs), LB Alexander Johnson (knee), OG Connor McGovern (back), NT Shelby Harris (ankle), WR Tim Patrick (shoulder), DL Mike Purcell (knee) and WR Courtland Sutton (hamstring) practiced fully Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Dec 5 5:53pm ET

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman (ribs) practiced in full Thursday, Dec. 5.

Fantasy Spin: Freeman was limited Wednesday, but he now seems to be on track to play Sunday against the Houston Texans. He hasn't seen 10 or more carries in a game since Week 8, and he should be left on the bench in 12-team leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 4 7:03pm ET

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman (ribs) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Fantasy Spin: Freeman probably will be able to play this week, but fantasy players should check on his status later in the week. He has received under 10 touches in each of the last four games and has been held out of the end zone during that span. He will be facing a good Houston Texans defense this week and can be avoided in some leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 4 5:40pm ET

Denver Broncos running back Royce Freeman (ribs) and outside linebacker Von Miller (knee) were both limited in practice on Wednesday. Freeman should be able to play, but he's the clear backup to Phillip Lindsay of late and won't have much flex appeal in the first week of the fantasy playoffs against Houston. Miller missed his first game last weekend since 2013, but it looks like he's making good progress and should return in Week 14. He'll be needed to help slow down Deshaun Watson and company, but it'll be difficult with Derek Wolfe (elbow) done for the year. Denver's defense should be avoided on the road against the Texans.

From RotoBaller

Dec 2 1:53am ET

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman ran five times for 11 yards and caught four passes for 13 yards on Sunday, Dec. 1, against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy Spin: Freeman's role on offense has really dried up, and there's no compelling reason to have him on your roster unless Phillip Lindsay gets hurt.

From TheHuddle

Nov 25 2:10pm ET

Denver Broncos running back Royce Freeman has started to plummet in recent weeks, and had one of his worst games of the season against the Bills on Sunday afternoon. The 2nd-year back only got two rushing attempts that he did little with, and also only received two catches out of the backfield. These looks led to 29 total yards for Freeman, disappointing production from the Oregon product. Freeman has averaged under six points in a PPR setting the past three weeks and his stock is starting to look brim moving forward for owners.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 4:33pm ET

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman rushed for 20 yards on two carries against the Buffalo Bills in Week 12. He also caught two passes for nine yards during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Freeman's four touches were a season low this season, but he should be more involved in the offense next week. He could be a possible flex option in deeper leagues but can also be benched if fantasy players have better options.

From TheHuddle

Nov 18 3:30pm ET

Denver Broncos running back Royce Freeman was non-existent in the team's loss to the Vikings in Week 11. The 2nd-year back has started to dip in production his last two games, a daunting sign for owners that were occasionally sneaking him into their flex spot. Freeman only had eight carries for 31 yards, alongside one reception for 14 yards. Things don't lighten up for the Oregon product, as the Broncos face a stout Buffalo Bills Defense next week on the road.

From RotoBaller

Nov 17 5:43pm ET

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman rushed eight times for 31 yards in Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings and he added one grab for 14 yards on his only target.

Fantasy Spin: As long as Phillip Lindsay is healthy the fantasy ceiling of Freeman is rather limited. Consider him more as a low-end RB3 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 12 against the Buffalo Bills.

From TheHuddle

Nov 16 1:00pm ET

Denver Broncos Running back Royce Freeman struggled against the Browns in Week 9, finishing with just 15 yards on five carries in addition to a single reception for negative yardage. After accumulating a touchdown in each of his previous two games heading into the matchup with Cleveland, Freeman will look to get back on track against the Vikings. His ceiling is high, but his floor is equally low, especially with the continued timeshare with Phillip Lindsay, making him a risky option across the board in Week 11.

From RotoBaller

Nov 4 4:10pm ET

Denver Broncos running back Royce Freeman had a quiet day on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, taking a backseat to teammate Phillip Lindsay. Freeman only managed to get five rushing attempts that he turned into an abysmal 15 yards. Even more disappointing was the fact he only had one reception during the game which he lost yardage on. This is a performance that Freeman can only hope to improve on moving forward after the team has a week off in Week 10.

From RotoBaller

Nov 3 11:43pm ET

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman rushed five times for 15 yards and lost a yard on his only catch in a 24-19 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 9.

Fantasy Spin: Freeman typically receives enough touches to be used as a flex option, but this game was a reminder that Phillip Lindsay is the superior fantasy option in the Denver backfield.

From TheHuddle

Nov 1 11:20pm ET

Denver Broncos running back Royce Freeman had a switch in narrative last week in the Broncos loss to the Indianapolis Colts, as Freeman was not the feature back in the passing game as he usually is, but rather it was his teammate Phillip Lindsay. Freeman will look to get back on track in Week 9, and should see solid production with Brandon Allen starting his first game at QB meaning the Broncos will be relying heavily on the run and quick passes to, hopefully, Freeman out of the backfield. This gameplan against a poor Cleveland Browns Defense has the potential to create a good week for Freeman owners, who should consider him at flex spots in PPR settings for Week 9.

From RotoBaller

Oct 28 8:53am ET

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman (shoulder) was favoring his shoulder after the game Sunday, Oct. 27.

Fantasy Spin: There's no word on the severity, but he finished the game and should be fine. Freeman reached the end zone this week and is a weekly flex debate.

From TheHuddle

Oct 27 9:23pm ET

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman rushed 12 times for 40 yards and a touchdown and caught one of two passes for five yards in a 15-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8.

Fantasy Spin: Freeman is the No. 2 option behind Phillip Lindsay, but he still routinely receives around 15 touches per game. There's enough volume to keep Freeman in the mix as a flex play.

From TheHuddle

Oct 27 9:10pm ET

Denver Broncos running back Royce Freeman found the end zone for the second straight game, as he managed to score the lone touchdown for the Broncos against the Indianapolis Colts. Freeman saw a downtick in catches out of the backfield this week, but his touchdown alongside his 45 total yards was enough to give decent production for any owners that played him. The lack of catches out of the backfield will hopefully change moving forward, as Freeman has the opportunity to right the ship next week against a sub-par Cleveland Browns Defense.

From RotoBaller

Oct 26 11:40pm ET

Denver Broncos running back Royce Freeman enters Week 8 with a daunting matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Freeman has been the top receiving back in Denver this year, outshining teammate Phillip Lindsay in that regard, and has started to find Flex volume in his role. This past week the Broncos moved wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders to the 49ers, and this could, in turn, lead to Freeman seeing some of Sanders' target share in the coming weeks. While Freeman clearly isn't a wide receiver, there isn't a solidified option to replace Sanders and undoubtedly some of that volume will trickle to Freeman. For this week, Freeman is a flex play in PPR settings due to his potential uptick in volume.

From RotoBaller

Oct 18 12:40pm ET

Denver Broncos running back Royce Freeman managed to score a touchdown despite rushing for just 35 yards on 10 attempts during the loss to Kansas City. With the Chiefs Defense finally stepping up in this one, Freeman and backfield mate Phillip Lindsay were collectively held to just 71 yards on Thursday night. Both men should continue to split carries moving ahead, with the slight edge from a fantasy perspective going to Lindsay moving forward.

From RotoBaller

Oct 18 12:03am ET

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman 10 times for 35 yards and a touchdown and caught four passes for 32 yards in a 30-6 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7.

Fantasy Spin: Phillip Lindsay had one more carry than Freeman, but Freeman scored Denver's lone touchdown and saw more work in the passing game. Lindsay has shown the higher ceiling overall, but Freeman has carved out a solid role and is a decent flex play.
