Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said that quarterback Jayden Daniels (hamstring) had a good rehab session on Sunday, and the team plans "on him being a part" of the practice plan this week, according to JP Finaly of NBC Sports. Daniels sat out of Monday night's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but he might only be looking at a one-game absence due to a right-hamstring injury that he suffered in Week 7. The 24-year-old signal-caller should be back on the practice field on Wednesday, but it's unclear as of now if he'll be limited or a full-go. He might need to practice in full at some point this week to avoid a questionable designation going into Sunday night's Week 9 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Daniels also missed two games earlier this season with a knee sprain, but he's trending up towards playing this weekend. That would be great news for the Commanders' offense that only scored seven points in the loss to KC.

Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said on Thursday that the team ruled out quarterback Jayden Daniels (hamstring) quickly for the Week 8 game on Monday night against the Kansas City Chiefs so that he could focus only on his rehab/treatment, according to ESPN's John Keim. "All of the week will be focused on rehab in hopes of [playing] the following week," Quinn said. The hamstring injury that knocked Daniels out of the Week 7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys early on Sunday is not a long-term one, so the team is hoping he'll be able to make it back next weekend to face the Seattle Seahawks. Injuries have hampered Daniels in his sophomore season, as this week will be his third missed game of 2025. If the 24-year-old only misses one game this time around -- he missed two contests earlier this year with a knee sprain -- he'll be returning to a tough matchup against Seattle in Week 9.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (hamstring), who suffered a low-grade hamstring strain on Sunday in the loss to the Dallas Cowboys, will not play on Monday night in Week 8 against the Kansas City Chiefs, sources tell Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Veteran Marcus Mariota will make his third start of the season. Fantasy managers will have to go in another direction this week, but hopefully the second-year signal-caller can make it back to play in the Week 9 contest against the Seattle Seahawks. After a phenomenal rookie season in 2024 in which he nearly led the Commanders to the Super Bowl, the 24-year-old QB will now miss his third game of his second season due to an injury after previously sitting out Weeks 3 and 4 with a knee sprain. Mariota can still use his legs to pick up yards and could be getting both receivers Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Deebo Samuel Sr. (heel) back from injuries, but he'll be a tough QB2 sell in fantasy against a stout Chiefs defense on the road.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels' hamstring injury that he suffered in the Week 7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday is "not significant or long-term," but head coach Dan Quinn is unsure if he'll be able to play on Monday night in Week 8 against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Washington apparently got good results from Daniels' MRI exam on Monday, but it doesn't mean he won't have to miss next Monday night's game. If he isn't cleared for that contest, veteran backup Marcus Mariota would be in line to start, and he could be without receivers Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Deebo Samuel Sr. (heel), who both were out for Week 7. And if Daniels can gain clearance to play in Week 8, it sets up as a bad matchup against an ascending Chiefs team, especially if he's not 100%.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (hamstring) will undergo an MRI on Monday, according to head coach Dan Quinn. Daniels exited Sunday's loss against the Cowboys after taking a sack early in the third quarter. He did not return to the contest, sparking plenty of concern about his fantasy football outlook going forward. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, Quinn didn't have much of an update postgame, other than confirming that the quarterback's injury is significant enough to require additional testing. We'll likely receive more information Monday on the specifics of Daniels' injury, including whether he'll miss any time. If the former No. 2 pick can't suit up in Week 8 against the Kansas City Chiefs, Marcus Mariota would be in line to make his third start of the season.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 7 contest against the Dallas Cowboys. He initially exited during the third quarter and was listed as questionable before being downgraded to out. The former No. 2 pick was seen walking to the locker room. While doing so, he gave a thumbs-up to the crowd. Ultimately, though, the team has decided that he won't be able to return. It's possible that the score factored into this decision, as Washington has consistently been trailing by three possessions. Daniels finishes the game having completed 12 of 22 passes for 156 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. He also rushed for 35 yards. Marcus Mariota will finish the game as the Commanders' quarterback.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (hamstring) exited during the third quarter of Sunday's Week 7 contest against the Dallas Cowboys. He was taken to the locker room and is officially questionable to return. At the time of his departure, he had completed 12 of 22 passes for 156 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. He also rushed for 35 yards. Daniels has been replaced by Marcus Mariota for the time being. It's unclear whether the former No. 2 pick will be able to return, but he did give a thumbs-up before going to the locker room, which could perhaps be a good sign.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels could be without all three of his top wide receivers for Week 7's matchup at Dallas, with Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) ruled out for the fourth straight game, Noah Brown (groin) placed on IR, and Deebo Samuel Sr. (heel) listed as questionable. Daniels faced a similar situation last week against the Bears, as Samuel was clearly limited by the injury and less effective than usual, yet Daniels still delivered an excellent fantasy performance. The star QB threw three touchdowns and totaled 52 rushing yards on 10 carries, both his highest since Week 1. Now Daniels and the Washington offense head on the road to face a Dallas defense that has allowed the third-most points and the highest yards per pass attempt in the league. There should be plenty of points scored on both sides in this matchup, and Daniels will rank as one of the top QBs in fantasy for Week 7.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders' QB Jayden Daniels scored 25.75 fantasy points in Monday's Week 6 loss against the Bears. Daniels threw for 211 yards on 19-of-26 with three touchdowns and one interception. It's the 1st time this season Daniels scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels completed 19 of 26 passes for 211 yards with three touchdowns and an interception while adding 52 rushing yards on 10 carries in one-point loss to the Chicago Bears on Monday night. Daniels also lost a costly fumble on the team's final drive that ultimately led to Chicago's game-winning field goal. It wasn't the sharpest performance for the second-year quarterback, but he still managed to move the ball up and down the field with a banged-up receiving core. The 52 rushing yards were a positive sign to see and were also his most since Week 1, as he made a few spectacular runs on scrambles. Daniels will project again as an elite QB1 in a potential shootout next week in Dallas.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels returned to action in Week 5 against the Chargers after missing two games with a knee injury. Daniels didn't miss a beat in Washington's road win in Los Angeles, completing 15 of 26 passes for 231 yards and a touchdown while adding 39 yards on the ground on eight rushes. The second-year quarterback was a bit rusty on his first couple of drives, but quickly settled in and looked like the same dynamic player that took the league by storm last year with one of the best rookie quarterback seasons of all time. Daniels and Washington will face the Bears off a bye in Week 6 in a rematch of their memorable game last season, which dramatically ended on a Hail Mary. It's an exploitable matchup versus a Chicago defense that is allowing nearly 30 points per game and a league-worst 6.7 yards per play. Daniels will rank as the top quarterback in fantasy in what could be a shootout on Monday night.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (knee) practiced in full every day this week and will return as the starter in Week 5 against the Chargers. Daniels banged up his knee in Washington's Week 2 loss at Green Bay and missed the following two weeks, where veteran Marcus Mariota filled in admirably. Daniels will be without his top two outside receivers as Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Noah Brown (groin) are both ruled out again for Sunday's game. And Daniels will reportedly be wearing a brace on his injured knee, perhaps limiting how often he runs. The star second-year quarterback faces a tough matchup in his return to play, facing a Los Angeles Chargers defense that has allowed the fourth-fewest total points scored and third-fewest yards allowed. Daniels still ranks as a solid QB1 for Week 5.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (knee) will start on Sunday against the hosting Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post. Daniels will wear the same brace on his knee that he had on Friday. The second-year signal-caller missed the last two games after spraining his left knee in Week 2. Veteran Marcus Mariota will head back to the bench after going 1-1 as Daniels' replacement. The Commanders' offense will get a boost with the return of Daniels, but he could be limited with his movement outside the pocket, and the matchup isn't ideal on the road against a ball-hawking defense. On top of that, Daniels will be without top receiver Terry McLaurin (quadriceps), who could miss additional time. Still, Daniels' dual-threat abilities at the position put him in the midrange QB1 category in fantasy in his return to the field.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (knee) is fully on track to return from a two-game absence due to a knee sprain to play in Week 5 on Sunday on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers, as he practiced in full for the second straight day this week on Thursday. Daniels has been medically cleared from his knee sprain and should be active on Sunday at SoFi Stadium as long as he doesn't suffer a setback on Friday. However, fantasy managers should temper their expectations for the second-year signal-caller in his first game back against a stingy defense. Not only is the matchup a difficult one on the road, but Daniels' scrambling ability could be curtailed. He'll also be without top wideout Terry McLaurin (quadriceps), and No. 2 WR Deebo Samuel Sr. (heel) has not practiced this week. In DFS, we'd suggest staying away from Daniels.
