This means you can make lineup changes for the late Sunday games or Monday night game just prior to those games with any unlocked positions. Note that your previous week’s lineup is the default lineup for the following week, even if a player is on bye. If you do not have access to a computer on game day you can e-mail, text, or call me with any lineup changes you wish to make.
Scoring:
TD’s, FG’s, extra points, etc. are at face value for all (this includes a QB who runs for a TD as well as a kicker that throws for one). Fractional scoring exists for rushing/receiving yardage.
Quarterbacks, Running Backs, Wide Receivers and Tight Ends:
Every yard rushing 0.1 point
Every yard receiving 0.1 point
TD 50 yards or more 3 point bonus
Every yard passing 0.04 point
Interceptions -2 points
Defense/Special Teams:
<200 yards allowed by defense 9 points
<300 yards allowed by defense 6 points
<400 yards allowed by defense 3 points
Sacks 1 point
Turnovers 2 points
Safety 4 points
Defensive TD 6 points
Defensive TD 50 yards or more 3 points
Special teams TD 6 points
Shutout 8 points
< 10 points allowed 3 points
< 17 points allowed 1 point
Placekickers:
Extra points 1 point
Field Goals 30 yards or under 3 points
Field Goals 31 yards or over 3 points plus 0.1 point for each yard over 30 yards
Two point conversions count for the player scoring the points as well as the QB in the event of a pass play.
Tiebreakers:
Total points scored are the tiebreaker for standings. Tiebreakers for weekly games are as follows:
1st tiebreaker TD’s
2nd tiebreaker Defense points
3rd tiebreaker Kicker points
Money Talks:
Super Bowl winner $700 (additional $25 if 5th-12th highest points payout is not made)
Super Bowl loser 350
Week 16 Losers - $150 each 300 (there will be 2 losing teams)
1st Place Regular Season 125 (also guaranteed at least another $150 in Week 16)
2nd Place Regular Season 75 (also guaranteed at least another $150 in Week 16)
3rd Place Regular Season 150
4th Place Regular Season 150
Highest points 5th – 12th place 25 (only if highest point total is higher than any playoff team)
League/Draftboard fees 105
Total Purse $1,980 (12 teams x $165 league fee)
Yes, I know if you finish in 3rd or 4th place and win the whole thing, you will win more than if you finish in 1st or 2nd and win the whole thing. However, 1st and 2nd place are guaranteed $275 and $225, respectively, and play 1 less playoff game than 3rd or 4th, who are guaranteed only $150. 5th and 6th place teams only will make money if they win 1 playoff game.
Free Agency:
Each team will receive 175 free agency dollars at the beginning of the season. Beginning in week 2 teams can submit a bid (minimum bid is 1; maximum bid is free agency dollar balance) to acquire a player (defense). When a bid is made the team must also indicate what player on their roster is to be dropped if the player bid on is awarded to the team. A team can submit as many bids as it wishes up to the total amount of free agency dollars available to the team. This means you can make more than one free agency move per week.
Free agency transactions will occur on Wednesday and Saturday nights and bids must be submitted by 11:59pm EST Wednesday and Saturday. If more than one bid is received for a player the highest bidder will be awarded the player. If two teams tie for the highest bid the player will be awarded to the team with the worse record. Any bids that are not successful will return the dollars bid to the team’s available free agency dollar balance. Note that if a free agency bid will result in the minimum/maximum roster size not being met the bid will be cancelled.
For example Team Birk has 100 free agency dollars remaining and wishes to acquire Trent Edwards and drop Tom Brady. He could bid anywhere from 1 to 100 dollars on Trent Edwards and chooses to bid 50 points. He can continue to submit as many bids as he wishes. However if the total amount of free agency dollars he bids exceeds 100 once he has won players use up his balance any remaining bids that exceed his remaining balance will be cancelled.
The total roster is limited to 18 players and minimum/maximum roster restrictions for each position. For each free agency bid you submit you must also indicate what player you want dropped from your roster. If a submitted free agency bid will result in a roster violation the free agency bid will be cancelled. Additionally if you have the same player indicated as the player to drop on multiple free agency bids once the player is dropped in a successful bid all other free agency bids with that same player will be cancelled.
Free agency will end in Week 14 but the six teams that make the playoffs will be allowed to submit free agency bids during the playoffs with any remaining free agency dollars.
Trading:
Beginning prior to the draft and continuing through week 14 (December 8th), unlimited trading is allowed. Trades must involve an equal number of players (but not necessarily the same positions) from each team and must leave each team within the minimum/maximum roster requirements. Free agency dollars can be part of trades. Trading of draft picks is allowed however trades involving draft picks must consist of an equal number of drafts for each team. For example Team Birk trades his 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round picks to Team Barton for his 1st round pick, Team Barton must include two other draft picks in the trade so each team ends up with 18 draft picks after the trade. Once a team is mathematically eliminated from the playoffs the team can no longer make any trades.
Frozen Players:
Once a player has played in a game for the week he is frozen for trading or free agency transactions (including dropped players) until Tuesday morning of the following week.
Commissioner’s Office:
I will be the commissioner for the league and the $165 entry fee is payable on draft day for each franchise. My phone numbers are: Cell 867-6590 Home 674-2031 Work 677-7937. My personal e-mail is ramjet8633@yahoo.com
You must pay the $165 on draft day. If the $165 is not received, all trades and free agency moves will be frozen for that team until the fee is paid. Steve Helms will be the League Treasurer.
Good Luck to all and most important: LET’S HAVE FUN!!
