OFFICIAL SONNY’S FANTASY FOOTBALL RULES
1. Auction will be held on SATURDAY before labor day weekend at noon at SONNY’S, don’t be fucking late, auction starts whether you are there or not
2. Each team consists of at least two owners
3. Entry fee for each team is $600, payable immediately after the auction…
4. There is a $200 limit at the auction for your team, there will be at least
$200 plus whatever you do not spend in the auction for future players
and there is no upper limit on what you spend after that during the
season... however any team that spends more that $800 gets a "luxury tax" equal to $1 for each dollar spent over 800
5. Each team will have 12 players which will include at least one QB, 2 RBS
3 RCs (receivers or tight ends), 1 Kicker, and 1 Defensive team, the
other 4 spots on your roster can consist with any combination of
players. A full roster must be maintained each week through the
super bowl.
6. Players can be purchased in 2 ways:
1. at the opening auction the minimum bid is $1 and the highest
bidder gets that player
2. every Wednesday nite a team can put in for a player (players) for a
Minimum of $10 each by putting their pickups in the white SFFL
Box NO LATER THAN 6:00, using the clock above the door
as the “official” time piece.
3. once the “box” is opened any bid offs will be start in a timely manner
4. high bidder gets that player and his “cost” will be subtracted from
your remaining funds until you reach a total of $400 then added
there after, again no max limit, but you have spent the initial
$400 whether you use it all or not
5. you do not have to declare who you are dropping until after the
bid offs
7. There will no longer be any “proxy” bidding for players on Weds. nights
1.if you want a player but can’t be present at the auction, you can put
in a roster change sheet with who you want AND what your
specific Bid is for that player AND you must list the player
who you are dropping if you get that player…
2. whatever amount you write down for that player will be what
You will pay for him even if you are the only bidder
3. EXAMPLE: say you want this guy and, on your roster
Change sheet, you put down $47 for him… if you are the
only bidder for that guy you get him at $47… if there are
other teams that want him, the opening bid is $47… as always
top bidder gets that player
8. If a team does not alter their starting lineups, their lineup from the
week before will carry over to the current week.
9. No player can be involved with more than 1 transaction each NFL week..
you can’t pick up a player that was dropped that week
10. Trades are permissible up though week 15, each player involved in the
Trade costs $5
1. There will be NO “tanking” allowed… traded players should be of
relative “value” and the commish will rule on the validity of
all trades… “validity” early in the year is easier to obtain than
late in the year… Example… do not try to trade, during week 15
a 3rd string TE for a playoff QB… won’t fucking happen !
2. Once a team has traded a player they can’t reacquire that player
via a trade
11. The season extends through the Super bowl and all points in the playoff
Games double and during the super bowl triple
12. at the end of the season the league “pot” will be paid out as follows:
1st = 50% 2nd = 25% 3rd = 15% 4th = 10%
1. winners are responsible for drinks and maybe bowling
13. we will use RTSports as our league stats provider (same as last year)
1. they use NFL.com as their stat source, and like last year whatever
position they have a player listed as will be their “official”
position (example Montgomery for the Packers was listed as a
receiver all year even though he became a running back),
whatever RTsports lists them as is what their position will be
because I have no way of changing it.
14. NO RULE CHANGES WILL BE MADE DURING THE YEAR !!!
15. The commissioner will rule on all matters that may come up during the
year in the best interest of the league as a whole
