By-Laws

1 - LEAGUE DEFINITION

 

1.1  The league will consist of 12
franchises.

1.2   The league will consist of 3 divisions, East, Central, & West

1.3A   The length of the regular season will be 13 weeks.

1.3B Play-Offs will be Week 14/15/16.

1.4  Weekly games will be played head-to-head against opposing franchises.

 

1.5   Each team will play the teams in their
respective division  twice and thr rest of the games against teams in the other divisions

 

1.6   The league office will consist of one
league commissioner ( Phil Karnes II) and one assistant league commissioner TBD

 

1.7   The league commissioner is responsible
for the day-to-day operations of the league including issuing reports , maintaining the website, and most important -
maintaining league integrity.

 

1.8   League integrity is the number one
priority. As such the league office may change, alter, or add rules to maintain league integrity.

 

2 - FRANCHISE OWNERSHIP

 

2.1   The cost to own a franchise and
participate in any league activities is $50.00 a Season. The entire $50 each season will go into the pot to pay for website fees and Season pay-outs.

The money will be broken down as follows......

$270 for League Champion

$115 for 2nd place

$75 for regular season 1st overall

$25 for other regular season division champions

$90 to pay for the site

 

2.2   An owner may only own one
franchise. 

2.3  If an owner chooses to leave the league or
isn't heard from for ten(10) consecutive days during the regular season, a replacement owner will be inserted and/or the
team will become league property until a suitable owner is found. M.I.A. owner will forfeit all claims to team and
prize money. Exception is when they notify the league ahead of time of their absence.  Notify league at philtista@verizon.net or (570) 594-6184 phone/message/text. 

2.4   If an owner forfeits his team during a
season for Collusion or inactivity, the league commissioner(s) will set that teams lineup until a suitable replacement
is found.

 

                                                     3- DRAFT

3.1 Future draft orders will be determined by reverse order of standings.

3.2 Draft will be a snake draft with a 24 hour time limit per pick.

3.3 Draft will begin on or around August 1st.

3.4 4 round rookie/FA draft with a straight (non snake) draft order

 

 

 

 

 

4 - ROSTERS & KEEPERS

 

4.1  Each franchise will maintain a roster with a
maximum of 25 players. 

4.2  It is the owner's decision on how many
players to carry at each position. 

 

 

 

5 - INJURED RESERVE

 

5.1  There are 8 injured reserve slots available
for each franchise. The eligibility for using this slot is strictly based on the player being placed on I/R by their
NFL team or out for half of the season or more ( PUP and the like ). Once deactivated the player must remain
deactivated until next year. This player can be traded but must remain on I/R until the next season.

Click on team/add/drop.  Next to the players name there
is a dropdown box.  They just select the option to place on IR then click
the modify button

 

6 - WEEKLY LINEUPS

 

6.1  Each franchise may start up to 10
players each week.  You can start the following : 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 PK, 1 Def/ST minimum for 9 of the starting spots. The remaining spot is a RB/WR/TE flex.  

6.2  The deadline for naming starters is prior to
the start of that player's game. You may change your players until the game they are in starts. 

6.3  If no starters are named, the previous
week's starters will be used ( regardless if the players are active that week or not ). 

6.4  If an owner does not submit a starting
lineup in the playoffs YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR GAME ! 

6.5  Players can only be inserted into a starting
lineup at a position for which they are listed on their NFL teams depth chart. The official source for player
positions will be NFL.com. 

7 - TRADES

 

7.1  Trades between teams are unlimited. The
League office is responsible for approving trades. Something would really have to be fishy for a trade to be turned
down and both sides will be consulted as to the approval of the trade. 

7.2  Trade deadline is the Wednesday right after week 11 games. All future draft picks are eligible to be traded.

 

7.3  Trading will be opened up and all players and picks will be eligible for offseason trading starting the day after the NFL Super Bowl.

 

8 - FREE AGENCY & WAIVERS

 

8.1  Any player not on a league roster is
considered a Free Agent ( F/A ). 

8.2  The waiver wire will be open every Tuesday from 5AM until 11PM Wednesday, starting the Tuesday before the regular season starts. 

8.3  It is a blind bidding system with each team receiving $150 bid bucks for the entire season so use wisely. You can bid $0 on a player but will only receive him if no one else bids. Any unclaimed players will be available Thursday morning at 5AM for first come first serve Free Agency. This will be the procedure for every week during our regular season. 8.4  The Free Agent pool will be locked after the draft until the Tuesday before week 1 starts with the waiver rules kicking in.

8.5  Only teams alive in the playoffs are allowed to use free agency/waivers during the playoffs

 

 

9 - PLAYOFFS

 

9.1  The league playoffs begin in week 14 of the
NFL season. 

9.2  6 teams will be making the playoffs, 3 division champions and 3 wild cards

 

9.3  Teams will be seeded as based on Win-Loss
record. Tie breakers are: 

    Head-to-head vs. team tied
with. 

    Most points for 

    Record vs. Division

    Head to head points for 

 

 

10 - RAMIFICATIONS OF TRADES

 

10.1  When you make a trade you need to remember
the rules and think about the effects. If you are unsure of how it will affect you, check before finalizing the trade.
We will not change the rules because a trade has caused you hardship. Trade carefully, you will have to live with the
ramifications of your trade.

 

 

11 - COLLUSION AND CHEATING

 

11.1  Any team caught cheating or in collusion
will immediately forfeit their ownership of the team and all rights to it including prize money.

 

11.2  Collusion is any two or more teams working
together to improve one team unfairly. This must be shown by their actions ( examples: unfair / unbalanced
trades, intentional no-calls of lineups to help another owner out, etc. )

 

11.3  Cheating is any action that helps give your
team or another team an unfair advantage and would be considered by a person of integrity to be honest and good
sportsmanship.
