LEAGUE:
12 teams consisting of three divisions.
DRAFT:
Players are drafted rather than bid on. The drafting order will be as follows:
1st through 6th picks in round 1: the six non-playoff teams from the previous season, with position determined by “Garbage Bowl Tournament”
7th and 8th picks in Round 1: The Wildcard Games losers from the previous season. The team of the two with the worst record will pick 7th. If they tied then the worse record vs. picks 7th. If they split then flip a coin.
9th and 10th picks in Round 1: the Divisional Championship losers from the previous season. See 7th and 8th for order
11th pick in round 1: The SuperBowl loser from the previous season
12th pick in round 1: The Super Bowl Champion from the previous season.
The 2nd round’s drafting order is the reverse of the 1st round (the team with the last pick in the 1st round will have the first pick in the 2nd round, thus having two picks in a row). The 3rd round will be the same as the 1st, etc. The drafting order may be altered slightly by new teams, combining of teams or dissolution of partners (see those respective sections).
Divisions will be picked randomly on draft day.
TEAMS:
The following players are picked from any NFL team by each fantasy league team:
Players who will be playing in college during the upcoming season can not be picked.
POSITION ELIGIBILITY:
A player can be picked at any position that he is listed at in a current preseason football book, magazine, web site or newspaper.
ACTIVATION:
Players to be activated: Each week, every fantasy league team must activate 7 players and 1 D/ST from its roster. These players and D/ST are the only players and D/ST whose statistics will count for that week. (Unless a tie then tie breaker points are used). Each team will activate the following players each week:
1 Quarterback 1 Tight End 1 Kicker
2 RBS and 2 WRS
1 Flex (RB/WR/TE)
1 Defensive/special team (not 1 defensive team and 1 special team).
1 Tie Breaker player from the roster
Making activations: It is the responsibility of each team to make their own activations on the Internet via the web-site for our league management company, CBS Sportsline.
Activation deadline: A full team must be activated by kickoff of the Monday Night game.
Activating bye week players or D/ST: For each player or D/ST a team activates on their bye week, or starting an inactive player each player or D/ST a team gets on their bye week due to default activations when no activations are made, the following punishments will occur:
Activating bye week players or D/ST: For each player or D/ST a team activates on their bye week, or starting an inactive player each player or D/ST a team gets on their bye week due to default activations when no activations are made the following rules apply:
1st offense -$10 for
2nd= lose a 5th round pick
3= not asked back next year
PLAY:
Teams in the league play each other in head to head competition. Each team plays a total of 14 games for the regular season (the first 13 weeks of the NFL season, Week 11 will be a double header).
SCORING:

STATS:
Statistics are provided by our league management company CBS Sportsline.com and are available on the Internet.
Teams are responsible for checking their own game scores against official statistics. If you find out late in the season that your score from the beginning of the season was wrong, tough shit- you should have caught it earlier.
RECORDS:
Wins and losses are compiled by team head to head competition each week. If team #1 is playing team #4 for the first week of the season, and team #1 scores 28 points and team #4 scores 15 points that week, then team #1 gets a win and guess what!! Team #4 gets a loss.
FANTASY POST SEASON:
The Three Division winners and 3 Wild Card Teams qualify for post season play. The playoff structure is as follows
Teams will be seed as follows
1) Division Champion with the best overall record (1st round bye)
2) Division Champion with the second best overall record (1st round bye)
3) Division Champion with the third best overall record
4) Best overall record of all remaining qualifiers
5) Second best remaining record

the remaining wildcard team will play the remaining division champion (Seed 6 at Seed 3).
SECOND ROUND (Week 16): Each winner of both first round games will be matched against one of the two top seeds. The first seed (division winner with best record) will play against the lowest remaining seed. The second seed will playthe remaining team.

In the event that two teams for a playoff spot, the following tiebreakers will be used to determine which team makes the playoffs:
TO BREAK A TIE

LEFT= $120
Failure to pay fees by 12/31 of the year will cost you an 11th round pick. That pick goes up one round for every week thereafter. The pick will be SKIPPED and you get your pick after the ENTIRE draft is complete. If you have TRADED this pick, the team you traded it to gets the pick and you lose your HIGHEST pick prior.
TRADES:
no trade can be made with out both sides first agreeing via email and then forwarding it to Lee (not through the website) to avoid scenarios that happened last year
Trades may not include money changing hands. Trading deadline is 11:59am on the Wednesday morning November 25th before Week 12.
The trade freeze is lifted following the SuperBowl in the NFL
TRANSACTIONS:
Pickups are on first come, first serve basis from Draft day until Week 1 starts. We will be using a Blind Auction. Each team gets $200 budget to bid on players. When you run out of $$$ tough!
FRANCHISING:
On draft day, each team is allowed to “franchise” two players (or D/ST) from its previous season’s team. These players (or D/ST) will remain on the team for the upcoming season. Teams are not required to “franchise” a player.
Each team that “franchises” a player (or D/ST) will lose a pick in the draft. The round of this pick will be determined by the following formula: franchise player’s (or D/ST) previous season’s draft round + oneFor example, if Stein drafted Reggie Bush in round two in the 2010 draft and wants to “franchise” him in 2011, then he will lose his 1st round pick in the 2011 draft. However, if you have traded away the draft pick in the round you wish to designate that player you must forfeit your next highest pick. In addition if you have 2 players in the same round....you can keep both, but must move 1 of them up 2 spots....for example, if kept Wells with a 16th last yr and picked up Stafford as a FA who then becomes a round 16, and I wanted to keep them both....one would be a round 15 and the other would be a round 14
Also we can tag a “transition” player, who if taken by another team must pay compensation
NAMING OF TRANSITION PLAYER
draft night.
the previous draft. However if you have traded away that rounds draft pick you must forfeit your next highest pick
CONTRACTS:
STARTING in 2020 all players are on a 3yr “contract” to a team.- you draft or keep them in 2020, you can keep them in 2021 and 2022 and they go BACK into draft pool in 2023- IF you trade that player- the contract goes with them= so if you acquire a player in year 2 of his contract – you only get him for 1 more year after
CLAIMING ANOTHER TEAM'S TRANSITION PLAYER
first 5 rounds, and must be claimed before last year's draft round, as long as the person taking the player has his next draft slot available.
through #6) and pick #10 (plus regains original draft slot). In
exchange for these picks, claiming team also gets 15th and 16th round
However…We will still tag a transition player and the penalty for stealing someone's transition can remain the same. However, I propose a right to match. This would give the team who owns the player the right to match the offer so to speak and keep that player, albeit at a price. This is what I propose, if the team chooses to keep the transition player he must move that player up to his next available draft position (and he must have that position available) and he loses his next round's pick to the team that tried to claim him.
COMBINING OF TEAMS:
If two owners would like to join forces for the next season, the following rules apply: The owners may franchise one player only from either of their previous year’s teams (same with “transition” players). The draft position of the new alliance will be that of the team who would normally have the worse drafting position in round 1. All other teams will move up or down accordingly. For example Dan and Eric would like to team up together. Dan is slated to pick 12th in round 1 in the upcoming draft. Eric is slated to pick 11th in round 1 in the upcoming draft. Dan and Eric’s newly formed team will pick 12th.
DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERS:
If two people who were joint owners of a team would like to pick separate teams the next season, then the following rules apply: Each owner will be allowed to franchise one player from the previous year’s team. The two people will follow each other in the drafting position that they are slated to draft in. The other teams will move up and down accordingly. The people involved will determine who their franchise players will be and who will draft first. For example: Craig and Phil are slated to pick sixth, and Lee is slated to pick seventh. Craig and Phil would like to split up. Craig and Phil decide that Craig will pick first because Phil got the better franchise. Craig will pick sixth, Phil will pick seventh, Lee will pick eighth, and so on.
If a team splits up and one of the ex-partners wants to join forces with another league member, the person who is now alone will get to pick his franchise player first and then the new team can pick a player from the remaining players on that team or from the new partner’s team. The person who is now alone will draft in his originally slated drafting slot and the new team will draft in the previously lone person’s slot.
EXPANSION TEAMS:
Expansion teams entering the league will have the first pick in round 1 of the draft (See: DRAFT). If there is more than one new team, their draft spot will be determined by lottery (picking out of a hat). New teams will have no franchise players but may grab a transition player.
OFFICIAL STATISTICS:
The statistics supplied by the Associated Press for our league management company CBS Sportsline will be considered the official statistics of the league.
CHANGING OF RULES:
All rule changes will be done prior to the start of the new season. Any new rules that will give any team a direct advantage or disadvantage in the upcoming season will be voted on for the following season. All league teams have a vote (not owners). Any rule change that a member would like voted on must be submitted to the league commissioner prior to March 1 (after the season) and it will be put on a ballot. In order for a rule to be passed it needs a majority of those teams who submitted votes prior to May 1st to vote in favor of it. In the event of a tie, the league commissioner will break the tie.
No more complaining…. All rules are final, if you don’t like something you either should have voted or you can wait until May 1, 2025
