WEEKLY Standard Scoring rules can be found under SCORING on the site.
The league will use the RT Sports scoring decisions if any unique plays occur during a given week. The RT
Sports site gets its scoring decisions directly from the NFL. This overrides any league rules. Our league rules were
established to handle unique plays prior to having its scoring done by a website. The Commish retains the right of
final decision in the case where a unique play takes place for which there is no ruling on the site, first referring
back to league rules to see if the unique play has been documented. Let's hope this doesn't occur.Â
The Commissioner has an approved scoring rule sheet for unique plays that may occur that the RT site does not
It is too detailed to post here, but the scoring rules have been approved at some point in the past.Â
Upon completion of the 13 game regular FFL season, each team will be ranked according to record. The top 8 teams
will advance to the CHAMP's  playoffs. The playoff format is the standard single elimination format, beginning in NFL
week 14. A consolation game for 3rd and 4th place will be played the same week as the FFL Super Bowl Championship.
NEW FOR 2010:Â There will be a CHUMP's BRACKET for the 4 of the 6 TEAMS that do not qualify for the CHAMP's
BRACKET. The CHUMP's BRACKET will be explained below.
PLAYOFF PICTURE :
The playoffs will work as follows. Each team will receive a regular season ranking based upon their record. The TOP
teams will advance to the CHAMPS'S BRACKET playoff quarterfinals. The regular season rankings utilize total points as
distinguishing factor if records are identical. If owners have identical records and identical total regular season
points, the head to head matchup will be the tiebreaker. If the head to head matchup happened to be a tie, then the two
owners' scores will be matched against each other each week and the owner that would have won the most games will
receive the higher ranking. If more than two owners have identical records and all have identical total points, I quit
(after a series of coin flips to establish rankings.)
The CHAMP'S playoff brackets will be a 1 vs 8, 4 vs 5 bracket and a 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6 bracket. It will be played out as a
straight bracket format, meaning there will be no re-ranking based on which teams win in round 1. To clarify even
further, the winner of the 1 vs 8 matchup will always play the winner of the 4 vs 5 matchup and the winner of the 2
vs 7 matchup will always play the winner of the 3 vs 6 matchup.
TIEBREAKER RULES FOR PLAYOFF ADVANCEMENT:
Tiebreaker 1Â (To determine playoff advancement in the quarters or semis.)
Total Regular Season Points:
The owner who scored the highest total regular season points will Â
advance to the next round of the playoffs in case of a playoff game resulting in a tie.
To clarify, the regular season RANKING does NOT determine advancement. If the regular season champ is playing vs.
the 8 seed, but the 8 seed had 900 regular season points and the regular season champ had 850 points, the 8 seed would
advance in the event of a tie. This rule is in place to reward total points over the randomness of head to head record
throughout the regular season.
Tiebreaker 2 (If regular season points happen to be equal for the two teams in a playoff tie)Â
Tiebreaker 2: Weekly record versus opponent:
If 2 owners have identical regular season points, the two teams weekly scores
will be matched against each other on a game by game basis... The owner who would have had the better
record will advance to the next round of the playoffs.
Third tiebreaker (In case total points are identical and weekly record versus opponent is identical)
Head to Head Result of the Regular Season matchup will be used to satisfy playoff ranking or advancement
Final Round of CHAMP'S BRACKET - Championship and Consolation Games
The above tiebreaker criteria are not applicable to the final championship game or the consolation game.
If either game in the final fantasy week (NFL Week 16) should result in a tie score, NFL Week 17 will be used as a
Each owner involved can submit a new lineup for the WEEK 17 game. The winner of the WEEK 17 game will be crowned Super
Bowl Champ and
obviously receive the corresponding championship prize.
STARTING IN Â 2010- PLAYOFFS -CHUMP'S BRACKET
The 4 teams ranked 9-12 upon completion of the regular season (NFL Week 13) will be slotted in to the Playoff
CHUMP's BRACKET which will result in a $25 prize for the bracket winner who will hereby be known as "CAPTAIN CHUMP".Â
Teams that finish ranked 13 and 14 in the regular season do not make either playoff bracket.
How does the CHUMP's bracket work? Note: A copy of the CHUMP's playoff bracket will be distributed on Draft Day.
There will be no CHUMP's bracket games in NFL week 14. The four NFL Week 14 losers from the CHAMPS bracket will
drop into the CHUMPS bracket in NFL week 15 to play the Regular Season #9-12 teams as follows:
NFL Week 15- CHUMP's bracket (RS= Regular Season)
Chump Game 1 =RS 9 VS Loser of Champ bracket game 1 vs 8 from NFL week 14
Chump Game 2 =RS 12 VS Loser of Champ bracket game 4 vs 5 from NFL week 14
Chump Game 3 =RS 10 VS Loser of Champ bracket game 2 vs 7 from NFL week 14
Chump Game 4 =RS 11 VS Loser of Champ bracket game 3 vs 6 from NFL week 14
NFL Week 16
Chump Game 5= Winner of Chump Game 1 vs Chump Game 2
Chump Game 6 =Winner of Chump Game 3 vs Chump Game 4
NFL Week 17 Captain Chump
Winner of Chump Game 5 vs Chump Game 6
The same tiebreaker criteria will be used to determine advancement as the CHAMP's bracket. If the CHUMP's bracket
final in week 1 ends in a tie, the money will be split between the two participating teams.
NOTE: If a situation arises where the tiebreaker criteria is insufficient to break a tie, a coin flip will be
