Rosters/Keepers
Team can keep up to 2 players from the previous season, with the player's salary goes up every off-season, rising by 10% after the first year with a team, 20% after the second year, and 30% after the third year. These increases are calculated from each players' prior year value and round up off of the prior year’s contract. After that, a player must be released back into the draft. You could opt not to keep anyone and start fresh every year at the draft with $200. Players can only be kept for three years, no matter what team they are on. If an owner drops out, his entire roster is NOT eligible to be kept.
Each team with draft 16 players at the Auction and the first two waiver moves can be net adds, and don't require a drop. Rosters will be 18 players, not including IR slots.
Playoffs and Tiebreakers
Seven teams will make the playoffs, with the top two teams getting a bye, and seeds #3, #4, #5, #6, and #7 will all play in Week 15, with the top 2 scorers from that week advancing to Week 16. In Week 16 we will return to the head-to-head format, the brackets will reseed, and the #1 seed will get the weakest opponent by seeding for that semifinal round. This new format keeps the two byes in place and allows for that extra playoff spot. The championship will be held in Week 17, and Week 18 will be the shootout. The Toilet Bowl will now have 5 teams, with the #1 seed getting the bye, #2 playing #5, and #3 playing #4 in Week 15. This mean 3 teams will be in the Toilet Bowl finals, which will be held in Week 16. The top scorer of that week will win the prize. Both tournaments will have a blend of “best of” and head-to-head.
If two teams are tied in a playoff game, we will (1) add up all the passing yards, rushing yards, and receiving yards of each team’s QB, RB, WR and TE, and the team with the most yards will advance. If still tied, (2) the team with the most receptions would advance. If still tied, (3) the higher seeded team will advance.
Injured Reserve
There are 2 IR spots per team, but in order for it to be used the player must be on IR (for any length of time) , NFI, PUP, or the COVID-IR list in the NFL. RT's status must read "X", "N", "U", or "C" as well. The one stipulation is they must be on your roster at the time they go on IR. Sometimes they can be a few days late, and we can't control this. Teams can not pick up injured players and immediately stash them on IR. Suspended players are NOT eligible for IR, nor are Doubtful or Questionable players.
If a player comes off I/R or COVID IR, they will need to be activated prior to their first game back, or they will be released into the free agent pool. If a team has an illegal IR spot being used, they'll be frozen from adding players via the waiver wire and/or free agency until their roster is fixed. In order to do this an owner will need to make a roster cut, or designate another player to the IR.
Contingent Backups
Transactions
The regular season trading deadline is Week 12. Waiver auctions will be Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30pm, An open add/drop period will open Saturday night at 11:30pm and remain open until 10:15pm on Monday night. Waivers close for all teams out of the money after Week 15. The remaining Toilet Bowl teams will be able to do Add/Drop in Week 16 as long as they are alive for money. The teams in the 3rd Place Game will also get to use Add/Drop in Week 17. Players can’t be picked up or dropped after their games have started.
The weekly trading deadline is Sunday at 12:45pm. Regarding offseason trades, in the past any players involved in offseason trades needed to be kept, because trades needed to be even, and this prevented any 2 for 1 type of trades. This restriction has been eliminated. This will allow for more trade flexibility. However, for an offseason trade to go through, both teams need to be paid in full for the upcoming season and both need to be playing in the upcoming season. If a team makes an offseason trade and doesn’t return to the league, all trades that team made in the offseason, and subsequent trades, will become null and void.
Shortened Season
In the event the NFL season is cut short, we'll award the prizes based off of the Victory Points standings, but only if 10 or more weeks have been played. The Toilet Bowl champ will be the 8th seed, for example. If Survivor is not over, the money will be evenly split amongst teams that are still alive. Any leftover unclaimed prizes, like high score money for weeks not played, or the Week 18 Shootout will be equally distributed across the 12 teams if the budget permits.
If only 9 or fewer weeks are played, Survivor will be evenly split amongst teams that are still alive, and weekly high score money will be paid out for the weeks played. The rest of the money will be evenly distributed to all 12 teams. Part of our budget is based off of a certain number of transactions, so the budget may need to be adjusted to accommodate this. In the event it does we will take the money from the Points leader bucket, but we should be ok here. Also, in this scenario all player contracts will roll into next year as if the season did not happen, both the contract expiration and price.
