Additional Rules:
Lineups:
Owners have until 1 pm EST Sunday to set lineups. The website system will lock players in the starting lineup or on the bench once that time has come. In the case of games that start before Sunday mornings the website also locks players in the starting lineup or on the bench once games in those cases have started. So for those games you only need to decide if players in them that you have will be starters or on the bench. Decisions on the rest of your team from the Sunday and Monday games you can wait if you wish.
Waivers and Free Agent Signings:
The add/drop deadline is is 12pm Eastern/9am Pacific on Thursdays. Also in 2012 we switched to a waiver priority based system for determining who gets what free agents. It is based on the league standings. Priority goes worst to 1st. Exceptions to the waiver/signing deadlines: This league makes no requirements of any team to keep backups of every position. In a case where the waiver / free agent signing deadline in a week has passed, but a team then finds itself in a place where you cannot fill your starting roster due to injury, you will be allowed to cut the injured player and sign a player from the free agent pool to fill the necessary spot on your roster. However in doing this you give up any rights to the player cut. When this situation occurs it is prefered that you call the commisioner by phone or send a text. If you cannot contact by phone, send an email message detailing the situation and also naming the player you wish to sign. Even if the changes are not made prior to the games starting the commisioner can make the changes retroactively based on your message on the basis that the time date stamp is before the begining of game time. The key to this is exact specific details and instructions. Do not send an email saying something like "Help, I need a RB". Name the player hurt and also the name of who you want to sign. In addition, this player may NOT be a player that was dropped by another team in the same weeks transactions.
"The Edens Rule":
In cases where an error is found that effects the outcome of a game or games ... The error must be found prior to the beginning of the following weeks games. If the error is discovered after the following weeks games have begun, the error stands, as do the scores in games effected.
Playoffs (League Post-Season):
Playoffs are conducted during the NFL's weeks 15-17. Bye weeks are awarded to the teams in first place in both divisions. Second place teams are in the first round and play the wild card teams. Seeding is used to determine which second place team plays which wild card team. Wild card teams are selected out of the remainder of the ENTIRE league, not by conference. Meaning Out of the 6 teams, the 2 best teams get the wild cards. This can set up a situation where one conference possibly sends 4 teams to the playoffs while the other only sends 2.
Standings, Playoff Seeding Tiebreakers, and Post Season Tiebreakers:
To determine playoff teams the following criteria is used. First Overall Record, if there is a tie then the following tiebreakers are applied, one at a time, in this order: Division Record, Head-To-Head Record, Total Points Scored. Additionally in post season games when we have a tie it will be broken using the following tiebreaker: (To Be Determined).
Commissioner Disclaimer:
There is possibility that something has been over looked, unforeseen, not thought of, etc... In these cases the league commissioner will consider the matter and make a decision. If an owner wishes to protest said decision it may be overturned by the league. A vote among the 9 owners will then be taken. A minimum of a 6-3 vote is needed to overturn the decision.
