ADAIR-CASEY FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE

 

BASIC RULES FOR 2013-2014 SEASON

 1.      A league will consist of a maximum of 12 Franchise Teams. 

 2.       Rod Jorgensen will  be league commissioner. The Commissioner is responsible for conducting league business, arbitrating league                    disputes, recording all draft information, lineups, and providing weekly scoring and standings reports to the owners.  A league                       treasurer will be appointed to track and collect league dues and trade fees

 3.      On September 2th league draft will be held at Crawford's house. This will imitate an actual NFL draft session

          Each owner will be required to draft (from the current NFL roster) 16 offensive players and 2 defensive teams consisting of the                       following:

          3 Quarterbacks

          5 Wide Receivers

          2 Kickers

          4 Running Backs

          2 Tight Ends

          2 Defensive Teams

 

         The draft will consist of a 18 round snake draft.

         The draft order is determined by a random drawing. Below is an example of how the draft works.

            (example: 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.10.10.9.8.7.6.5.4.3.2.1.1.2.3....) 

          Each owner will have two (2) minutes in each of the first four rounds to make his/her draft choice. Each round thereafter the time limit           will increase to three (3) minutes. There will be a ten (10) minute break after every three (3) rounds. 


 4.  Each week owners must choose a starting roster of: 

      1 Quarterback

      2 Wide Receivers

      1 Kicker

      2 Running Backs

      1 Tight End

      1 Defensive Team


5.  The season will consist of the 17 regular season weeks. The Team with the most points at the end of  the regular season wins. In the            event of a tie, the team that had the most weekly high scores wins. All positional ties will be broken in this manner.


6.  Each owner will pay an initial fee of $75 before he/she drafts a team.  There will be a $2 charge for trades  and  free agent acquisitions.          This $2 fee will be waived for the first 5 transactions. Trade money will be added to the pool. Each week the team owner with the highest      weekly score will be awarded id="mce_marker"0. In the case of  a  weekly tie, the id="mce_marker"0 will be divided between all members      with the high score . The season ending division of the  remainder of the  pool money will be as follows. 

             

                First Place            50  %

                Second Place        25  %

                Third Place           15  %

                Forth                   10  %


     Note:      During the first week of the regular season, if a player chosen during the draft is not listed as active on the NFL roster                                (due to sudden retirement,  imprisonment, death, or released by their team) that player may be waived and replaced at no extra                   charge. This must be completed before the start of the first game of the season.


7.  A team may put a player on injured reserve if that player is on the official NFL injured reserve list. Then that team can choose a player            that is not currently on another roster. Within 3 days of the Player’s removal from the official NFL injured reserve list, the owner must            decide whether to waive that player or drop another player. In the event that the owner fails to claim the player, just coming of of the            injured reserve list, within the allotted 3 days, that player is then a free agent.    

8.  All rule disputes and protest will be settled by a majority vote from all the owners. 

9.  All trades between teams must be completed before the start of the first game on the 12th week of the  season. After that trades are not     allowed between teams. All trades must be in the spirit of competition. A trade must be made with the intention of improving a owners         chances of scoring. Dumping quality players to the waiver wire, for the benefit of another team, will get you banned from the league.

    Trades can be vetoed by having 6 owners raise an objection. All trades must be accepted by 11PM on Friday. Each league member will be     notified by email when a trade has been completed. Each owner then has 24 hours to register an objection.

10.  Scoring will be calculated in accordance with the the scoring template that will be handed out to each player.

       RETURNS – Special Teams punt/kickoff return scores are  scored for the defensive team.

       DEFENSIVE SCORING – Total Yards allowed is the category for the opponent’s offensive rushing and passing yards only.

       LATERALS – Offensive scoring by a lateral is considered a rushing touchdown from the point of the lateral. The lateral is not considered a                         forward pass. The player scoring the touchdown is credited for the score and yards “rushed”.  Other players involved                                     offensively before the lateral are awarded with the play and yardage gained as a normal offensive play, up to the point of                             the lateral.
