Regular Season Tiebreaker:
Best NFL Pick'em Pool Record (Highest Winning Percentage) for that same week. Winner is awarded a Win, Loser keeps the Tie. If the Pick'em Pool head-to-head results are a Tie, the game remains a Tie for each Team.
Standings:
Conference Rank Method (for Money / Top Team receives a BYE):
Best Overall Record (Highest Overall Winning Percentage)
-Two Teams Tied
Head-to-Head Record (Higher Winning Percentage vs. Other Tied Team)
Conference Record (Highest Conference Games Winning Percentage)
Highest Total Points Scored in All Games
-Three or More Teams Tied
Head-to-Head Record (Highest Winning Percentage for Head-to-Head Games Among All Tied Teams)
Conference Record (Highest Conference Games Winning Percentage)
Highest Total Points Scored in All Games
NFL Picks Rank Method (for Money):
Highest Overall Winning Percentage
In the event of a Tie for 3rd Place, the 3rd Place money is divided equally among the Teams involved. All teams Tied for 3rd Place are awarded 3rd Place.
In the event of a Tie for 2nd Place, the 2nd and 3rd Place monies are combined and divided equally among the Teams involved. All teams Tied for 2nd Place are awarded 2nd Place. There will be no 3rd Place finisher.
In the event of a Two-way Tie for 1st Place, a 1st Place winner will be determined as below. The 1st Place Tie-breaker loser is awarded 2nd Place. 3rd Place is awarded to the next highest finisher.
In the event of a Three-way or more Tie for 1st Place, a 1st Place winner will be determined as below. The 1st Place Tie-breaker losers are awarded 2nd Place, the 2nd and 3rd Place monies are combined and divided equally among the Teams involved. There will be no 3rd Place finisher.
Tiebreaker (For 1st Place Only): Teams tied for 1st Place at the end of the season are the only Teams eligible for the Tiebreaker. Go to the Overall Standings from the previous week, Week 16, and whichever Team was highest ranked amongst the Tied Teams will be declared the 1st Place finisher. If all Teams involved are still Tied, continue going backwards 1 week at a time until a Leader is determined. If more than 2 Teams are Tied, follow the same process. Any Team that drops below the others during a previous week is dropped from the process and only the Tied higher Teams will continue . If this process cannot separate a winner, all originally Tied Teams will make Picks for the entire NFL post-season as if it were a new season. Winner to be determined as most correct Picks. If there is the possibility of a Tie after the Super Bowl, Teams must predict the Winner and the final score. If Tied, the Team which picked the Super Bowl winning team is awarded 1st Place. For all Teams that picked the same winner, it goes to the Team closest to the final score. If it is still Tied, it goes to the Team with the closest score to the winning team’s score. If it is still Tied, try the previous week method to see if either Team ever got ahead during any round of the playoffs. If so, the Team with the latest weekly lead is awarded 1st Place, if not, Tied Teams will be declared Co-champions.
Method for HandiCapping:
Excel Spreadsheet available upon request. Spreadsheet has all calculations used to determine HandiCap Bonuses and Playoff Brackets. Spreadsheet automatically determines Coin Toss selector, HandiCap Bonus applied for each game and first Tiebreakers.
The Team which wins a Playoff Game carries the higher of the two teams HandiCap Bonuses forward to the next round. Original HandiCap Bonuses are retained for calculation purposes.
i.e. Round 1- Team F (10) beats Team C (20)
- If Team F wins then going forward Team F (10/20)
- If Team C wins then going forward Team C (20)
In a tie, Team F wins by scoring more fantasy game points
Round 2- Team F (10/20) plays Team B (15) - Team F (15)* & Team B (15)
- If Team F wins then going forward Team F (10/20)
- If Team B wins then going forward Team B (15/20)
In a tie, Team F wins by virtue of their 5 unused HandiCap Bonus points.
Round 3- Team F (15/20) plays Team A (25)
In a tie, Team F wins by scoring more fantasy game points
Team E (10/18) plays Team D (5/14) - Team E (14)* & Team D (14)
In a tie, Team E wins by virtue of their 4 unused HandiCap Bonus points.
Super Bowl- No Handicaps
*A Won HandiCap Bonus cannot exceed an opponent’s High HandiCap Bonus, whether Original or Won. They are treated as being equal to the High HandiCap Bonus of the lower of the two Teams, but the Team with the higher High HandiCap Bonus would hold the Tiebreaker, as they actually have unused HandiCap Bonus points. In the event a Tie between Teams of equal HandiCap Bonuses, highest Original HandiCap Bonus (the one you started the playoffs with) holds the Tiebreaker. Final Tiebreaker is actual NFL game points scored, TD, FG Safety, Extra Points.
