DRAFT
Draft order to be determined by previous year's record. The team with the worst record gets the 1st pick in every round, 2nd worse gets the second pick, league runner-up gets the 2nd to last pick, and the league champion gets the last pick in every round.
Hold-overs are announced in the same order, and then Round 1 of the draft begins.
New teams come into the league automatically with the worst record. They are awarded two make up picks after the second round (picks 21 and 22) to even their rosters out with the existing teams.
FINANCES
PLAYOFF TIE BREAKER
If there is a tie during the playoffs --- winner will be the team with the highest total yards of his 6 starting skill players - QB, 2 RB, 3 WR.
NFL PLAYOFF FANTASY SEASON
The draft order for the NFL playoffs goes from Champion, Runner-up, and then by record with the worst team getting the last pick.
Any team(s) that is not available during the Playoff Draft but has made arrangements for others to draft for them in their stead, will be dropped to the bottom of the drafting order. One player is selected at each position - QB, RB, WR/TE, K, & D.
Scoring is based upon the standard rules beginning with the Wild Card Week and ending with the Super Bowl. The highest total wins. Ties are allowed.
TOILET BOWL
The two non-playoff teams will square off against each other in Week 15, with the winner receiving the #1 pick in the following years draft. The loser will be slotted into the draft based upon winning percentage like all of the other teams.
2023 Draft Notes 09.06.23
Hi all,
Great draft tonight! I wish we drafted more!
Here are the changes we passed tonight.
1. When we lose a team owner and need to have a new team join, we will now simply transfer that old team players from the previous year to that new owner. The new owner will assume the old players and the drafting position on all rounds. If there are multiple new owners, we will do a random draw (coin flip) for each old team which includes the players and the draft order.
2. A team must field a complete team whenever possible or face a $10.00 fine. Whenever possible is defined as an owner must not start a player who is deemed Out, or Doubtful on the weekly NFL injury report or the team the player plays for is on a bye. If a player on a team is listed at Out or Doubtful on the NFL injury report, or the team the player plays for is on a bye, the owner must drop a player and make a substitution for said player. If the owner does not, the owner will be fined $10.00. Clearly things happen especially given the many schedules the owners have. If an owner feels they have an exception to the above rule because of information that was not communicated on time or the owner was busy beyond Friday and something changed over the weekend, the owner can plead their case to the Commissioner and the commissioner will make a ruling on his or her own. If the instance involves the Commissioner, the Commissioner will plead their case to the Assistant Commissioner (AC). (Scott right now). The decision does not require the Commissioner (AC) to seek guidance and is not contestable.
from 9/12/23
If a player is ruled doubtful or out on Friday’s injury report, and that player is in an owner’s lineup on game day, and that player does not play, the owner will make a cash donation of $10 to the league pool. ( An owner can play any player that plays at any time regardless of an injury report on any date.). Also, if an owner plays any player on a bye, the owner will also choose to make a $10 cash donation (per player) to the league pool. There will be no need for the commissioner to contact the offending owner. The owner may contact the owner if he or she feels that an exception should be considered. Unless there is an emergency, there really is no reason to play a player on Sat-Monday that is on Friday’s injury report. And…all owners will be exempt from fines on Thursday nights.
3. The regular season is changed to be Weeks 1-14. The Regular Season Playoffs will occur weeks 15-17. We will have a scoring contest for all owners Weeks 15-18. We will also award money to 3rd place in the Regular Season Playoffs and the Post Season Playoffs. To recap money fees for the league:
A. Division Winners receive their league fee ($100) back.
B. Points Pool Contest Weeks 15-18 will pay out $30 for first and $20 for second.
C. The league fee charged by RT Sports is deducted from the total fees collected.
D. 3rd place in both playoffs will receive $50.00.
1. The Regular Season 3rd place playoff game will occur in Week 17 at the same time as the Regular Season Championship. The losers of the semifinals play in the 3rd place game and must submit a roster per normal rules.
E. The remaining money is the final pool for 1st and 2nd for both playoffs.
1. Reg Season Champ = 50% of Pool remaining. 2nd is 25%.
2. Post Season Champ = 15% of pool and 2nd is 10%.
F. Drafting for the Post Season Playoff remains the same - Owners draft in the same order they finished by normal league rules with owners in the money for 1st, second, and 3rd place finishers drafting first, then by record. This drafting order is then reversed for the following year draft.
4. An owner cannot tank a game. If an owner is believed to have tanked a game, an owner can file a complaint to the Commissioner for a ruling. I would like to add, in order for an owner to file the complaint, the affected owner must also have one additional owner contact the owner to agree that an unfair line up was submitted. I would like all owners to vote on that - should an offended owner need to have one additional owner for support for the Commissioner to rule on this????? Please be an active owner and vote.
Only one additional owner commented - motion carries in favor of an owner must have 1 owner supporting their claim of an unfair lineup prior to contacting the commissioner.
5. An owner can only trade a carry over for one player or one pick. An owner cannot trade 2 carry over players for 1 pick or even 2 picks.....
