By-Laws

LEAGUE BYLAWS:


League entry fee will be $150 per team first year and $100 each year thereafter. We will be using leaguesafe.com to manage league funds. The $50 will be held as deposit for in case we are unable to find a replacement owner, we will have to sell that team at a discount.  If a replacement owner is found at full price then your deposit will be refunded to you.


Subsequent year's entry fees will be due 3 weeks prior to the rookie/free agent draft. If entry fee is not received and the owner has not communicated to the league commish to arrange for alternative payments, then the team in question will be sold to a new owner. 


Payouts will be as follows:


Champion = $600


2nd Place = $300


3rd Place = $200


4th Place = $100


 


League Structure


Divisions:


Teams: 12 (3 Divisions of 4) Starting in 2014 divisions will be randomized. Every 3 years after that, we will randomize divisions again. Divisions Eliminated 5/14/18 by vote 7-5


Rosters:


In season Owners may carry a maximum of 25 players with a 2 player IR. Lineups are 9 starters consisting of 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 3FLEX (RB, WR, TE) Edited 4/22/18


 


Playoffs:


6 Teams qualify. 3 top record and the next 3 highest scoring teams will qualify for the Championship Playoffs. These teams will play for the championship and draft spots 12-7 in the following years draft.  Top two records will be seeded #1 and #2 and receive first rd byes. 3rd best record will be seeded #3 and the following wildcard teams will be seeded 4-6 with the highest scoring team receiving the higher seed. 


Championship Playoffs:


WEEK 14- #1 and #2 seed will get bye weeks in WEEK 14


GAME1: #3 vs #6


GAME2: #4 vs #5


After week 14, #1 seed will decide who he wants to play between the winners of GAME1 and GAME2.


WEEK 15


GAME3: #1 vs WINNER of GAME1 or GAME2


GAME4: #2 vs WINNER of GAME1 or GAME2 depending on who #1 picks to play.


GAME5:  GAME1 LOSER vs GAME2 LOSER L=8th pick W=7th pick


WEEK 16


GAME6 Championship Game: GAME3 WINNER vs GAME4 WINNER play for 1st(12th pick and $600.00) and 2nd(11th pick and $300.00) 


GAME7 Consolation Game: GAME3 LOSER vs GAME4 LOSER play for 3rd(10th pick and $200.00) and 4th(9th pick and $100.00)


Toilet Bowl Playoffs: Removed 7/29/17


Yearly Rookie/Free Agent Draft:


The Rookie/FA draft will last 5 rounds and will be held post NFL rookie draft at a date tbd. 


Draft spots will be determined by the results of The Championship Playoffs and The Toilet Bowl Playoffs. Ammended 7/29/17 by league vote. Toilet Bowl removed. Draft spots 7-12 determined by reverse order of playoffs, draft spots 1-6 determined by total regular season points of non playoff teams w/ lowest points receiving 1st pick, etc.


The Rookie/Free Agent draft is a straight draft, going from picks 1-12, and then back to 1 again.  It is NOT a serpentine draft.  The team with pick 1.01 will have pick 2.01, 3.01, etc., unless any of those picks have been traded.


The Rookie/FA draft shall include any NFL free agents that are not on a current roster, as well as all rookies selected during the NFL draft.  Any players drafted in the supplemental NFL draft after the start of the Rookie/FA draft will be entered into the League free agent pool and be eligible for pickup at the start of the blind bid process. 


 


OFFSEASON: 


In each of the subsequent years, there will be a Roster cut-down deadline after the conclusion of each NFL Season. All rosters must be cut-down from 25 players to 20 players no IR on a date TBD. Failure to do so will result in the league commissioner cutting players for the team in question. (Cut players will be inverse order of fantasy points scored for the previous season).


During the Off-season, rosters will be allowed to exceed, or be diminished by the yearly requirement of 25 players through rookie/free agent trades and draft acquisitions ONLY. That means NO free agent pickups via waiver wire. A team can choose to cut as many players as they wish and those players will be entered into the rookie/free agent draft.  Any team whose roster exceeds the yearly player limit will be required to release the extra players prior to the start of the Dynasty League Season. The Final cut down date will be determined during the off season.  It will be around the end of August (before the waiver wire opens). This is the date you must have your roster down to 25. 


When the Dynasty League Season begins, any team below the yearly player roster will be required to make blind bid waiver wire acquisitions to meet the in season roster requirements.  


Rule change proposals may be made by any owner in the offseason. Proposals will be brought to a league vote. Rule changes require a 2/3 majority to pass.


2ND CHANCE DISPERSAL:


In the event that a team is orphaned a dispersal draft may be held. Returning owners will email their intentions to the defending champion by a set deadline. Dispersals will only be held if more than one team (including orphans) chooses to enter.


1. Defending Champion is not eligible


2. Any team that participated in a dispersal the previous season is not eligible


3. All players and current year picks of participating teams are part of the draft.


4. Teams participating will not be able to trade during the draft.


5. Draft will be serpentine and order will be randomized.


Free Agency Acquisitions and Blind Bidding:


The free agent acquisition process is made by way of "blind bidding".  Each team is given 1,000 free agent "dollars" at the start of a season (not real money), which they may use to bid on free agents during a weekly blind bidding process. 


Bids shall be placed individually, or in groups, with conditional bids following the primary bid.  The top bid is the primary bid in a bidding group.  The bids underneath are conditional bids.  If you lose the primary bid, the first conditional bid directly below will be considered next.   If you lose the primary and the first conditional bid, then the second conditional bid will be considered, etc.  The rest of your bidding groups will be processed in the same manner.  A maximum of one player can be won in each bidding group. It's important to remember when placing multiple free agent bids that you cannot win two players if they both have the same drop player.  You may not place different bid amount on the same player. In this case, only the highest dollar bid will be considered. 


Dollar amounts do not determine preference of bids - only the order in which the bids are placed determine preference.  Example: conditional bid #3 can be a higher dollar amount than the primary bid.


The first blind bidding process will run on Wednesday PRIOR to Thursday's Opening Game in NFL Week 1.


Teams are allowed to acquire up to 10 players per waiver wier period.  There are no limitations as to the amount of players may be acquired by a team during the course of the year, provided teams remain within the maximum number of 25 players allowed on each roster.



Dynasty League Trading Rules:


If a trade wants to be protested by other players not involved in the trade, an email must be sent to the commish with reason of protest. The protest must be sent to the commish, no more than 8 hours after the trade. If more than 1 team protest the trade (at least 2), a league vote will be used. The vote will go up as soon as 2 protest are submitted to the commish. The vote will last 12 hours, with everyone getting only 1 vote. 7 veto votes or the majority will decline the trade.


 



Tanking Rules:


If an owner is found to be tanking in games and not starting their most competitive lineup, the owner will receive the last pick in each round of the rookie/free agent draft.  Each owner is expected to keep the integrity of the league by managing their team to the best of their ability.
