Bucs QB Baker Mayfield likely to get green light vs. Cardinals

Baker Mayfield has not missed a start with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and his 45-game streak appears to be safe after he completed practice Friday.

Mayfield's sprained left shoulder was problematic, drawing doubt about his status for Tampa Bay's game against the visiting Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. He is listed as questionable on the injury report.

But after seeing how his QB1 looked in practice, Head coach Todd Bowles said Mayfield is in the mix to start against the Cardinals.

Teddy Bridgewater will start if Mayfield isn't able to go.

"It's pain tolerance and management at that point," Mayfield said earlier this week for what he called a double-edged sword decision. "(We will) see how it goes through the week and go from there. I understand that we have Teddy. I have been in this spot before, hurting the non-throwing shoulder.

"If it's going to hinder how I play, then I probably won't go, but I won't know that until later in the week getting practice reps and see how that goes."

There seems to be more clarity heading into the weekend.

Mayfield injured the shoulder a couple of times during last week's 34-7 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The most painful time came as he heaved the ball on a Hail Mary pass to end the first half.

Bridgewater played the second half with Mayfield unable to continue.

"On the Hail Mary ... it felt like my shoulder was unstable, which MRIs and all that revealed that it's stable and everything is intact, so that's really good news," Mayfield said. "It's really about feeling good enough to be able to rip the ball and feeling confident in it to finish through throws and stay on top of the ball."

If Mayfield can't play, Bridgewater will start for the first time since Week 17 of the 2022 season with the Miami Dolphins. Against the Rams, he completed 8 of 15 passes for 62 yards.

"We all have confidence in Teddy," Bowles said. "We know what he can do and we know what kind of confidence level he brings, too. It's a different kind of energy, but yet energy that we all feed off of and expect."

The Buccaneers (6-5) have lost three straight games and four of the past five. They stand a half-game ahead of the Carolina Panthers in the NFC South.

Arizona (3-8) has lost three in a row and eight of the past nine. The Cardinals fell 27-24 in overtime to the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars last week.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett will be making his seventh consecutive start. He has thrown for 769 yards on 80-for-106 passing (75.5%) over the past two games.

Cardinals star tight end Trey McBride is tied for second in the NFL with 80 receptions, one behind leader Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers.

McBride has caught five or more passes in 13 straight games, tying the club record set by Larry Fitzgerald.

"I want him to touch the ball more than five times every game regardless of the streak," Arizona offensive coordinator Drew Petzing said. "I'd like for him to touch it 10 times or 15 times because he is as talented as he is and plays the game the way he does and has such a big impact for us."

Cardinals receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (appendicitis) returned to the field on a limited basis. He missed the past two games and is considered questionable for Sunday.

"It was good to see him running," Brissett said of Harrison. "He went through something very traumatic. To have him back out there was really good and I'm excited to see how this week unfolds for him."

The Cardinals ruled out defensive end Walter Nolen III (knee) on Wednesday. Running backs Emari Demercado (ankle) and Trey Benson (knee), right guard Will Hernandez (hip/knee) and safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (ankle) also will be sidelined. Right tackle Kelvin Beachum (groin), running back Bam Knight (knee) and cornerback Max Melton (heel) join Harrison as questionable.

Tampa Bay will be without cornerback Benjamin Morrison (hamstring) and safety Rashad Wisdom (quadricep) on Sunday. In addition to Mayfield, running back Bucky Irving (shoulder/foot), guard Ben Bredeson (hamstring), cornerback Jamel Dean (hip) and linebackers Anthony Nelson (ribs) and Haason Reddick (ankle/knee) are questionable.

The Buccaneers won the last two meetings, both by three points.

Value Picks: Week 13

Player Notes
Zonovan Knight Dec 1 4:50am CT
Zonovan Knight

Arizona Cardinals running back Bam Knight had 11 carries for 62 yards in Sunday's crushing 20-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 13. Knight also had three catches for 36 yards with a receiving touchdown on three targets. The 24-year-old put together his best performance of the season by earning season highs in rushing yards, yards per carry, receiving yards, and his first receiving touchdown this season. Knight's performance came after being a limited participant in practice every day this week due to a knee issue. Despite having his best game this season, Knight's role in the offense will be cloudy heading into Week 14, with the potential of Trey Benson (knee) returning from injured reserve looming.

Quinshon Judkins Dec 1 4:50am CT
Quinshon Judkins

Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins carried the ball 23 times for 91 yards while catching all three of his targets for 18 yards and rushing for a two-point conversion in a 26-8 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13. Judkins continued to dominate the Cleveland backfield as Dylan Sampson got just four carries and was the only other running back to take a handoff for the Browns. Judkins has been excellent in his rookie season, rushing for 758 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games thus far. He will be a low-end RB1 in fantasy in Week 14's home game against the Tennessee Titans.

Jerry Jeudy Dec 1 4:50am CT
Jerry Jeudy

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy caught three of his four targets for 26 yards in a 26-8 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13. Jeudy had a chance for a bigger game as he got open behind the San Francisco defense in the first quarter but was overthrown by Shedeur Sanders. The veteran wideout is turning in a disappointing season, catching just 35 passes for 421 yards and one touchdown across 12 games. Hard to trust in fantasy leagues going forward, Jeudy will look to get on track in Week 14's home matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

Harold Fannin Jr. Dec 1 4:50am CT
Harold Fannin Jr.

Cleveland Browns tight end Harold Fannin Jr. turned in a productive game in a 26-8 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13, catching three of his five targets for 43 yards and a touchdown. Fannin provided one of the few bright spots on offense for the Browns when he hauled in a 34-yard touchdown from Shedeur Sanders in the second quarter. The rookie tight end continues to produce for Cleveland as he has 51 receptions for 505 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games this season. Looking like a high-end TE2 in fantasy for the rest of the way, Fannin will try to stay hot against the Tennessee Titans at home in Week 14.

Michael Pittman Jr. Dec 1 4:40am CT
Michael Pittman Jr.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. caught just one of his four targets for 13 yards in a 20-16 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 13. Pittman was quiet in the close loss as the Colts mostly leaned on Alec Pierce in the contest. The veteran receiver is putting together a solid season, posting 60 catches for 620 yards and seven touchdowns in 12 games. Despite the slow outing, Pittman remains one of the top targets on an excellent Colts offense. He will look to bounce back on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 14.

Tyler Warren Dec 1 4:40am CT
Tyler Warren

Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren caught three of his four targets for 22 yards and a touchdown in a 20-16 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 13. Warren popped up on the injury report with an illness over the weekend, prompting the Colts to list him as questionable for the contest. He ultimately was able to play through the illness and hauled in a 12-yard touchdown to tie the game at 13-13 in the third quarter. Warren has been impressive in his rookie season, catching 58 passes for 684 yards and scoring six all-purpose touchdowns in 12 games. He will be a solid TE1 in Week 14's road matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Daniel Jones Dec 1 4:30am CT
Daniel Jones

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones completed 14 of his 27 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns while adding one yard on his lone carry in a 20-16 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 13. Jones found Alec Pierce and Tyler Warren for his touchdown passes in the contest but couldn't complete a pass on fourth down with 1:49 remaining in the game to give the Colts a chance at a comeback win. Reportedly playing through a fractured fibula, Jones has cooled off a bit in recent weeks. The veteran quarterback has thrown for 3,041 yards, 19 touchdowns, and seven interceptions while adding five rushing touchdowns in 12 games this year. He will now begin preparing to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road in Week 14.

Jonathan Taylor Dec 1 4:30am CT
Jonathan Taylor

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor carried the ball 21 times for 85 yards and caught three of his five targets for 36 yards in a 20-16 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 13. Taylor was held out of the end zone for the second straight game, although he was able to offset that with a solid afternoon in the passing game. The veteran running back has been excellent this season, rushing for 1,282 yards while catching 35 passes for 304 yards and scoring 17 all-purpose touchdowns. He will remain a high-end RB1 in Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road.

Matthew Stafford Dec 1 1:13am CT
Matthew Stafford

Dynasty | Rams wide receiver Davante Adams had four catches for 58 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to the Panthers. Dynasty Analysis: Adams may not put up the gaudy yardage numbers he used to but he now has a whopping 14 touchdown receptions on the year and has a chance to break his career high of 18 set back in 2020. In short, Adams has been a scoring machine in the red zone this year. With five games to go, he should come close to his seventh 1,000-yard season and his connection with Matthew Stafford has put him again on the WR1 line. His ultimate value could be tied to Stafford's future but his time in Los Angeles has been nothing short of spectacular.

Bucky Irving Dec 1 1:13am CT
Bucky Irving

Dynasty | Bucs running back Bucky Irving had 61 rushing yards, two catches, 20 receiving yards and a touchdown in his return from injury. Dynasty Analysis: Well, so much for easing him in. Irving took right over as he had 19 touches, compared to five from Rachaad White and just two from Sean Tucker. Irving could be a late season league winner as he could easily post RB1 numbers every week with this kind of workload. Kudos to you if you bought low because that time has clearly passed. His ADP and ranking will be back on the rise at this point.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Max Brosmer Dec 1 1:13am CT
Max Brosmer

Dynasty | Vikings quarterback Max Brosmer complete 19-of-30 passes for 126 yards with no touchdowns and four interceptions in a loss to Seattle. Dynasty Analysis: The Seahawks posted their first shutout since 2015 with a 26-0 thumping of the Brosmer-led Vikings. And you thought JJ McCarthy was bad!?! This was a pretty epic disaster as the Vikings just couldn't move the ball and when they did, they ended up turning it over as Aaron Jones also lost a fumble to make five turnovers on the day. Brosmer just doesn't look like an NFL-caliber quarterback and while he should stay on Superflex rosters until he's done starting, that's about the end of where his value lies.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Terry McLaurin Dec 1 12:10am CT
Terry McLaurin

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin has played in only five games this season due to a quad injury, but he had an outstanding game in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos. Even on limited snaps, McLaurin recorded seven receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown on a team-leading 14 targets in Washington's overtime loss. The Commanders' top wideout last played in Week 8 against the Kansas City Chiefs, where he also played limited snaps but made his presence known with three catches (four targets) for 54 yards and a touchdown. McLaurin has had an unfortunate season plagued by injuries, but he will look to close out the season on a high note. He also could be getting second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow) back next week against the Minnesota Vikings.

Zach Ertz Dec 1 12:00am CT
Zach Ertz

Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz hauled in 10 catches for 106 yards on 14 targets in Sunday night's 27-26 overtime loss to the Denver Broncos. Ertz led Washington in catches and yards in a wild game that came down to the wire. The veteran's performance against the Broncos on Sunday night marked the second game with 10+ catches and 100+ receiving yards since joining the Commanders last year, with the other being the NFC Championship against his former team in the Philadelphia Eagles. Ertz has continued to be ultra productive in his age-35 season, totaling 39 receptions for 387 yards and four touchdowns on 57 targets in 11 games this season.

Marcus Mariota Nov 30 11:50pm CT
Marcus Mariota

Washington Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota completed 28 of 50 passes for 294 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception while adding 10 carries for 55 yards in a 27-26 overtime loss to the Denver Broncos. Mariota attempted a career-high 50 passes as Washington ran 85 total plays in the game and played well for the most part. The veteran connected with Treylon Burks for a five-yard touchdown on an unbelievable one-handed catch in the third quarter, then found Terry McLaurin for a three-yard touchdown in overtime to bring Washington within one point of the Broncos, but they ultimately failed the two-point conversion to win the game. Still, it was an encouraging outing for Mariota and the Washington offense against an elite Denver defense. Mariota could make another start next week against the Minnesota Vikings if Jayden Daniels (elbow) is unable to return.

From RotoBaller

Alec Pierce Nov 30 11:40pm CT
Alec Pierce

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce collected four catches for 78 yards and a touchdown on five targets in Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans. Pierce led the Colts in receiving and had an impressive contested touchdown grab in the corner of the end zone for the Colts' first touchdown of the day, but it was an otherwise tough day offensively against an elite Houston defense. The 25-year-old has had a breakout season in his fourth year, totaling 33 receptions for 689 yards and two touchdowns on 59 targets in 10 games this season. For the second straight season, Pierce is currently leading the league in yards per reception, averaging 20.9 in 2025. In a crowded Colts pass-catcher room, Pierce has emerged as a reliable fantasy option and projects favorably again in Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

From RotoBaller

James Cook Nov 30 11:20pm CT
James Cook

The Buffalo Bills leaned heavily on running back James Cook in their 26-7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Cook handled a career high 32 carries for 144 yards to go along with three receptions (three targets) for a team leading 33 receiving yards. The 26-year-old did it all for the Bills in a much-needed bounce-back win, and he continues to have an outstanding season after receiving a four-year, $48 million contract extension in the offseason. Cook has seen more work as a receiver lately as well, recording 14 receptions (14 targets) for 136 yards and a touchdown in his last four games. In the first eight games, he totaled 13 receptions (15 targets) for 100 yards and no touchdowns as a receiver. Cook will remain one of the best running backs in fantasy in a dream matchup next week against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Ashton Jeanty Nov 30 9:46pm CT
Ashton Jeanty

Dynasty | Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty had 31 rushing yards, six catches and 30 receiving yards in a loss to the Chargers. Dynasty Analysis: There's really not much left to say here. Jeanty is in the midst of a lost season as the Raiders are now 2-10 and look like they have the worst offense in the league. The Pete Carroll and Geno Smith combination has backfired in epic proportions and they simply can't move the ball. At this point, dynasty managers are simply hoping Jeanty finishes the season healthy because he just isn't going to produce numbers this year. He could be a buy low this off-season.

Kimani Vidal Nov 30 9:45pm CT
Kimani Vidal

Dynasty | Chargers running back Kimani Vidal had 126 rushing yards, one catch, 11 receiving yards and a touchdown in a blowout win over the Raiders. Dynasty Analysis: Vidal had hit a bit of a cold stretch but a game against the Raiders proved to be just what the doctor ordered here. Vidal has been a huge surprise this year and while Omarion Hampton is expected back at some point, he should stay on dynasty rosters as a player who likely won't be completely phased out upon his return.

Cooper Kupp Nov 30 9:43pm CT
Cooper Kupp

Seattle Seahawks WR Cooper Kupp caught three of his four targets for 24 yards in a 26-0 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13.

Fantasy Spin: Kupp has been held under 25 receiving yards in three straight games, and he has been held to three catches or less in six straight. With the Seattle passing attack revolving around Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Kupp hasn't been left with much. At best, Kupp is a WR5.

From TheHuddle

Tyler Lockett Nov 30 9:33pm CT
Tyler Lockett

Las Vegas Raiders WR Tyler Lockett converted his only target for an 11-yard reception in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy Spin: Lockett has been having quite the resurgence in the three previous games, averaging 4.0 receptions and 46.3 receiving yards per game, but this looked more like the Tennessee version of Lockett. He should only be trusted as a WR5 or WR6 heading into Week 14 against the Denver Broncos.
