Jets WR Garrett Wilson (knee) lands on injured reserve

Thu Nov 13 5:45pm ET
Field Level Media

After reinjuring his right knee Sunday, the same knee that caused him to miss two games earlier this season, New York Jets wide receiver Garett Wilson was placed on injured reserve Thursday and will miss at least four games.

The 25-year-old Wilson, the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2022, returned Sunday after missing two games. He is eligible to return for the Jets' Week 15 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, though the team may opt to shut him down for the season.

Wilson leads the Jets (2-7) in targets (59), receptions (36), receiving yards (395) and touchdown catches (four) in seven starts. Before sitting out Week 7, he had played in all 57 games since being drafted 10th overall in 2022.

New York's other starting receiver, Josh Reynolds (hip), is also on IR, putting quarterback Justin Fields and the offense in a bind ahead of its road matchup with the rival New England Patriots (8-2) on Thursday.

"I mean, it's tough, but it is what it is," Fields told reporters about playing without Wilson. "(It's) kind of like Cincy week. There's going to be guys that have opportunities to go make plays, but it's definitely tough when one of your best guys on offense is out. But like I said, it's an opportunity for some other guys to go come in and make plays."

Acquired from the Colts in the recent trade that sent cornerback Sauce Garnder to Indianapolis, wide receiver Adonai Mitchell could make his first appearance with the Jets on Thursday. Allen Lazard was a healthy scratch last week, while the Jets also have Isaiah Williams, Tyler Johnson, Arian Smith and John Metchie III available.

Justin Fields Nov 13 6:30pm CT
Justin Fields

The New York Jets are expected to start Justin Fields at quarterback on Thursday night against the division-rival New England Patriots, according to Albert Breer. Although the expectation is that Fields would make another start under center for the Jets after winning a second straight game in Week 10, head coach Aaron Glenn refused to make an official announcement. Fields' last game against the Patriots was at Gillette in 2022 when he played for the Chicago Bears, and he led them to a 33-14 win, throwing for 179 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 82 yards and another score. Fields hasn't been great in his first year with the Jets in eight starts, but he hasn't had much to work with through the air, and now top wideout Garrett Wilson (knee) is on Injured Reserve. Unless Fields can run all over the Pats again on Thursday night, it might be another rough fantasy showing for the former first-rounder.

Tyler Lockett Nov 13 6:20pm CT
Tyler Lockett

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyler Lockett (knee) is on the team's Week 11 injury report after he was limited in the first practice of the week on Thursday due to a knee injury, according to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN. In his second game with the Raiders in last Thursday's loss to the Denver Broncos, Lockett played 57% of the offensive snaps and had season-highs in catches (five), targets (six), and receiving yards (44) in a game that featured very little offense. The 33-year-old veteran is a little banged up going into a Week 11 Monday night matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, but he should be able to suit up as long as he doesn't have a setback with his knee on Friday or Saturday. The Raiders' offense has been extremely lackluster, especially in the passing game, but Lockett has chemistry with quarterback Geno Smith from their time in Seattle and should continue to be involved alongside Tre Tucker and tight end Brock Bowers. Lockett could be a sneaky flex target in a great matchup against Dallas' D.

Omarion Hampton Nov 13 6:10pm CT
Omarion Hampton

Los Angeles Chargers rookie first-round running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) was seen working off on a side field with a trainer again on Thursday, according to Kris Rhim of ESPN. Hampton last played in Week 5 and remains on Injured Reserve due to a high-ankle sprain, but he appears to be making progress in his recovery and could have his 21-day practice window opened by the Chargers soon. The 22-year-old will not return in Week 11 against the Jacksonville Jaguars before the team goes on their bye in Week 12. Depending on how much progress Hampton can make in the next couple weeks, though, he could have a chance to make his return for a divisional clash at home against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 13 on Sunday, Nov. 30. Before his injury, Hampton was in line to be a workhorse for the Bolts after Najee Harris' (Achilles) season-ending surgery. Hampton should not be floating around on any waiver wires.

Geno Smith Nov 13 6:00pm CT
Geno Smith

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Geno Smith (quadriceps) is not included on the Week 11 injury report as the team gets ready to face the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, according to the team's website. Smith was in some pain last Thursday night against the Denver Broncos when he suffered a bruised quadriceps, and he was even replaced in the game for a bit by Kenny Pickett. The 35-year-old eventually returned to finish the 10-7 loss, but he was hobbling around pretty good. The extra time off heading into Week 11 appears to have done the veteran QB some good, and he should be fine to play against Dallas on Monday after practicing in full on Wednesday. Smith has mostly been a liability for fantasy managers in his first year in Vegas, but he'll have some QB2 streaming appeal this week against a bad Cowboys secondary.

Ricky Pearsall Nov 13 6:00pm CT
Ricky Pearsall

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Thursday that wide receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee) will return on Sunday to face the division-rival Arizona Cardinals in Week 11, according to KNBR. Pearsall finally returned to practice this week after spraining the PCL in his knee way back in Week 4, and he'll be back on the field this weekend as the Niners look to sweep the season series against Arizona. In addition to Pearsall, quarterback Brock Purdy (toe) will be back. Both players have been sidelined since Week 4. The banged-up 49ers are getting closer to full health on offense. Pearsall, a first-rounder in 2024, caught 20 of his 29 targets for 327 yards and no touchdowns in four games this year before injuring his knee. He will definitely be a starter in three-wide sets now that he's back, but he may be eased back into the offense, making him a shaky fantasy play in his first game back this weekend.

Ladd McConkey Nov 13 5:50pm CT
Ladd McConkey

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (ankle) was listed as a limited participant again on Thursday due to an ankle injury. It's a new injury for McConkey, but as long as he upgrades to a full-go on Friday, he should be cleared to play this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road in Week 11. The 24-year-old second-year pass-catcher has come on strong after a slow start to the season that saw him go without a touchdown in the first four games. Since Week 5, though, McConkey has 35 catches on 53 targets for 457 yards and four touchdowns, including two 100-yard performances. He had four catches for a season-high 107 yards and a touchdown on six targets in the Sunday night win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10. As long as McConkey is active against the Jags this weekend, he should be a must-start in fantasy lineups.

Brock Purdy Nov 13 5:20pm CT
Brock Purdy

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Thursday that quarterback Brock Purdy (toe) will return to the starting lineup this Sunday against the division-rival Arizona Cardinals in Week 11, according to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports. Shanahan said earlier this week that Purdy would be practicing with the intention of starting this weekend, and it looks like that will happen. It will be just the third start of the year for the 25-year-old signal-caller, and the first since he aggravated his turf-toe injury in Week 4. Purdy is surely an upgrade over Mac Jones under center, although fantasy managers will have to weigh the potential rust factor after Purdy's long layoff. Still, in a plus matchup against Arizona's defense, Purdy should be in play immediately as a low-end QB1 option for fantasy managers who might be hurting at the position in Week 11. He's rostered in 59% of Yahoo leagues right now.

LB Arden Key (quadriceps), RB Kalel Mullings (ankle), TE Chig Okonkwo (foot), WR Bryce Oliver (knee), DT C.J. Ravenell (ankle), WR Calvin Ridley (hamstring) and DT Jeffery Simmons (hamstring) were limited during practice. S Mike C. Calvin Ridley Nov 13 5:03pm CT
Calvin Ridley

Tennessee Titans WR Calvin Ridley (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 13.

Fantasy Spin: Ridley has not played since the middle of October but seems to have a chance to return to the lineup this week. He has targeted at least six times in four of his six games this season and had a 100-yard game before he suffered his injury. He will be involved in the passing game if he plays and could be a possible flex option in some leagues.

From TheHuddle

David Njoku Nov 13 4:53pm CT
David Njoku

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 13.

Fantasy Spin: Njoku still has a role in the passing game even with Harold Fannin Jr. earning more targets during games. He has caught a touchdown in each of the last two games but is probably more of a No. 2 tight end in fantasy leagues.

Malik Hooker Nov 13 4:43pm CT

Dallas Cowboys DT Solomon Thomas (calf) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 13. S Alijah Clark (ribs), OT Ajani Cornelius (knee), DE Dante Fowler (shoulder), S Malik Hooker (toe), OG Tyler Smith (knee) and S Donovan Wilson (elbow, shoulder) were limited during practice. LB DeMarvion Overshown (knee), CB Shavon Revel Jr. (knee) and DT Perrion Winfrey (back) fully participated in practice.

Joe Flacco Nov 13 4:40pm CT
Joe Flacco

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco (shoulder) was listed as a limited practice participant on Thursday due to a right-shoulder injury, according to Paul Dehner Jr. Flacco went down as a non-participant during Wednesday's practice, but he was able to do more in practice on Thursday and is expected to be ready to start this weekend against the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers coming out of their bye. The 40-year-old has put up some gaudy numbers since coming to Cincy, but he might only be in line to make two more starts for his new team with Joe Burrow (toe) nearing a return from Injured Reserve. Flacco was on the injury report in Week 9 with his shoulder injury, but he played through it and threw for 470 yards in the loss to the Bears, so we think he'll be alright for this weekend against a Steelers secondary that has been shaky in 2025.

Lamar Jackson Nov 13 4:33pm CT
Lamar Jackson

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 13.

Fantasy Spin: Jackson appears to be dealing with a minor injury and should be ready to play in Week 11. He has thrown 15 touchdowns and only one interception so far this season and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

Davante Adams Nov 13 4:20pm CT
Davante Adams

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams (oblique) is warming up with the rest of the team and is in uniform for Thursday's practice, suggesting he will return to the field, according to Nate Atkins of The Athletic. Adams was held out of Wednesday's session after injuring his oblique in the Week 10 win over the San Francisco 49ers, but the Rams are pretty confident the 32-year-old veteran will be able to play in Week 11 versus the division-rival Seattle Seahawks. As he typically does before practicing, Adams ran routes during individual pass-game drills on Thursday. Adams will probably be listed as limited on Thursday, but he should be available for fantasy managers this weekend and will be a must-start in what could easily be a shootout in L.A. He's taken a back seat to Puka Nacua in terms of targets, but he leads the NFL with nine touchdowns through nine games.

Aaron Jones Nov 13 4:10pm CT
Aaron Jones

Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones Sr. (shoulder, toe) was listed as a limited practice participant for the second straight day on Thursday due to shoulder and toe injuries. The veteran back played through the ailments in Week 10, so he's likely on track to suit up in Week 11 against the Chicago Bears. Across five games played this season, Jones Sr. has recorded 287 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns on 46 total touches. His workload upside is limited in Minnesota while he shares a backfield with Jordan Mason, but Jones Sr. is currently averaging 6.2 yards per touch, which would be a career-high if sustained over a full season. He also saw a season-high six targets in Week 10. As long as he's active, Jones Sr. profiles as a solid fantasy RB2 in Week 11 against Chicago.

Justice Hill Nov 13 4:10pm CT
Justice Hill

Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill (toe) missed a second straight practice this week on Thursday due to a toe injury that he picked up in the Week 10 win over the Minnesota Vikings, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN. The 27-year-old will need to get back on the practice field on Friday to avoid being ruled out for this weekend's divisional matchup against the hosting Cleveland Browns. Even if Hill can play in Week 11, it's looking more like the Ravens want to make Keaton Mitchell a bigger part of the backfield plans behind starter Derrick Henry, which would mean Hill drops to RB3 duties. Hill has seen exactly one rushing attempt in each of the last three games for a total of five yards while catching three passes for 25 yards in that span. The 27-year-old's fantasy stock is on the decline, while Mitchell's arrow is pointing upward.
