LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) Eddie Goldman led a dominant effort by the defense, and the Chicago Bears shut down Jared Goff and Los Angeles' high-powered offense in a 15-6 victory over the NFC West champion Rams on Sunday night.

The Rams (11-2) missed a chance to secure a first-round playoff bye and fell into a tie with New Orleans for home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

Goff threw a career-high four interceptions and was sacked three times, with Goldman getting to him for a tiebreaking safety early in the third quarter.

Bradley Sowell became the first Bears offensive lineman in 11 years with a touchdown reception when he caught a 2-yarder from Mitchell Trubisky in the third quarter.

Player Notes
Matt Prater Dec 10 12:00am ET

Detroit Lions kicker Matt Prater hit his only field goal attempt, while also knocking two extra points in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. Prater has now made 15 straight field goals dating back to Week 7. Unfortunately for Prater, he hasn't received many opportunities recently because the Lions offense has been struggling. Either way, he's been a decent fantasy option all season. Next week, he should have more chances to continue the streak when the Lions play the Bills.

Todd Gurley Dec 10 12:00am ET

Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley has been a borderline MVP candidate all season long. Even when defenses scheme to stop him, he has been able to turn in a solid outing. In Week 14 against the Chicago Bears, that was not the case. Gurley finished with 11 carries for 28 yards to go with three catches for 30 yards. Like the rest of the Rams offense, Gurley was just never able to get into a groove. This doesn't seem like something that will continue moving forward, but defenses know that Gurley is the engine that makes this offense go. He will have to scrap for every yard, but he will be more than capable of doing so.

Ricky Seals-Jones Dec 9 11:50pm ET

Arizona Cardinals tight end Ricky Seals-Jones had another disappointing performance in Week 14. Seals-Jones had three catches for 31 yards on five targets and was largely irrelevant in the team's passing attack. Seals-Jones is still a low-end TE2 and should not be rostered outside of deeper formats going forward.

Jared Goff Dec 9 11:50pm ET

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff was looking to bounce back after Week 13's struggles, but things only got worse in Week 14 against the Chicago Bears. He finished the game 20-of-44 with 180 yards to go along with four interceptions. Goff was under constant pressure, as he was sacked three times to go along with seven quarterback hits. This is a worrisome sign to see from Goff, who has been somewhat inconsistent this season. When the Rams can't get their running game going, they rely on Goff, and he isn't able to handle that workload yet, as we saw tonight.

Josh Rosen Dec 9 11:50pm ET

The Detroit Lions defense/special teams allowed just three points to the Cardinals in Sunday's win. Darius Slay recorded his third interception of the season, picking off Josh Rosen and returning it for a touchdown in the third quarter. Aside from the pick six, the defense also registered three sacks, making it a tough day for the Cardinals rookie quarterback. This was one of the best performances by this defense all season, granted the matchup was very favorable. However, the bad news is the defense lost Ziggy Ansah and Da'Shawn Hand during the game among several others. This unit is very banged up right now, heading into a good Week 15 matchup with the Bills.

Levine Toilolo Dec 9 11:30pm ET

Detroit Lions tight end Levine Toilolo hauled in both of his targets for 26 yards in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. Toilolo finished second on the team in yards and tied for second in receptions, which ultimately says how rough of a day it was for the Lions offense. However, it does support a trend upward in the offense for Toilolo as he now has six reception in the last two games, a number that equals his reception total through the first 12 weeks of the season. This doesn't make the 27-year-old a fantasy relevant player but it shows that Detroit is desperate for players to make things happen. The Lions takes on the Bills in Buffalo next week.

Josh Rosen Dec 9 11:20pm ET

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen had another poor day against the Detroit Lions. Rosen completed 26 out of 41 pass attempts for 240 yards and an interception and was a fantasy dud on the night. Going forward, Rosen is nothing more than a low-end QB2 playing on an extremely poor offense.

Baker Mayfield Dec 9 11:20pm ET

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield had a rough fantasy showing against the Carolina Panthers in Week 14, posting his lowest points total since Week 6 with a stat line of 238 yards and only one touchdown. While Mayfield had a great performance on film, he simply struggled to shine from a fantasy perspective, as he was lackluster production-wise. There was not a ton of volume for Mayfield, particularly in the red zone, which hurt his point total for Week 14. Mayfield continues to show growth and maturation as the season develops, so do not let these past two weeks scare you from putting Mayfield in lineups with an attractive matchup in future weeks.

From RotoBaller

David Johnson Dec 9 11:20pm ET

Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson had another poor performance in a Week 14 loss to the Lions. Johnson had 15 carries for just 49 yards on the night and also caught eight catches (out of 10 targets) for a total of just 12 yards. Johnson may have saved himself in PPR formats, but the talented back is clearly being held back by this offense and should be considered a RB2 going forward.

Austin Ekeler Dec 9 11:20pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler suffered another stinger in the Week 14 win over the Bengals and will require further testing, according to a source. A short week against the Chiefs on Thursday might make it tough for Ekeler to be ready. After disappointing as the lead back in Week 13, Ekeler bounced back with 15 carries for 66 yards and a touchdown on the ground against Cincy. He also added two catches for 28 yards. However, he might be forced to sit this Thursday. Even if he manages to play, his RB2 upside could be hurt if Melvin Gordon (knee) is able to return from his two-game absence. If Ekeler sits, rookie Justin Jackson's fantasy value will be based on whether Gordon returns.

From RotoBaller

Chase Edmonds Dec 9 11:20pm ET

Arizona Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds could not repeat his two-touchdown performance from Week 13 against a tough Lions defense. Edmonds had three rushes for 14 yards on the night and was largely held in reserve for running back David Johnson. Edmonds should not be rostered outside of the deepest formats and is does not carry much fantasy value going forward.

From RotoBaller

T.J. Jones Dec 9 11:20pm ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver TJ Jones wasn't able to corral his only target on Sunday against the Cardinals. The goose egg halts Jones' streak of six games where he caught at least one pass. It's odd to see how under utilized the 26-year-old is, seeing as how many of the Lions offensive skill position players have wound up injured recently, including Bruce Ellington who went down in Week 14. If Ellington is forced to miss the Week 15 matchup with the Bills, Jones would be expected to step up into a bigger role.

From RotoBaller

Trent Sherfield Dec 9 11:20pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Trent Sherfield had a surprisingly nice outing despite the team's Week 14 loss. With five catches for 77 yards on seven targets, Sherfield was the team's leading wide receiver on the night. With the injury to rookie wideout Christian Kirk, Sherfield looks to have an increased workload to close out the season. However, he should not be rostered by fantasy owners due to his reserve status for the team.

From RotoBaller

Larry Fitzgerald Dec 9 11:20pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald broke the record for the most catches with a single team and still failed to have a significant impact in the team's loss to the Lions. Fitzgerald had five catches for 55 yards on nine targets on the night. With the performance of the entire offense hindering Fitzgerald's production, the veteran wideout is a flex option at best going forward.

From RotoBaller

Michael Roberts Dec 9 11:20pm ET

Detroit Lions tight end Michael Roberts did not register a catch in Sunday's win over the Cardinals despite being targeted twice. It was a bad day all around for the Lions passing attack as Matthew Stafford did not throw a touchdown but that also spells bad news for fantasy owners. The Lions tight end position has been relatively useless all year and it doesn't look to be getting better as the season winds down. Detroit travels to play the Bills next week.

From RotoBaller

Antonio Callaway Dec 9 11:10pm ET

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Antonio Callaway had about as poor of a day as possible against Carolina, as he hauled in one catch for zero yards. It was a disappointing day in the Browns receiving corps for any of the usual targets not named Jarvis Landry. Callaway is starting to lose his role on the team as the clear second option. He looks to rebound next week, though, as the team hits the road for a trip to Denver, who are hurting in the secondary without Chris Harris Jr. (leg).

From RotoBaller

Jarvis Landry Dec 9 11:10pm ET

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry found the end zone twice, once as a running back and once via a beautiful pass from quarterback Baker Mayfield. Landry also had 111 combined rushing and receiving yards. The fifth-year wide receiver established himself as the cornerstone of the offense this week, as it was a tough matchup for the Browns on the ground against the Panthers stout front line. On top of the previously mentioned production from Landry, he was around five yards short of another rushing touchdown and a Nick Chubb fingertip catch away from a passing touchdown. This was a promising performance for Landry owners, as it is clear that the Browns trust him and will highlight him in favorable matchups.

From RotoBaller

David Njoku Dec 9 11:10pm ET

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku had a disappointing game in Week 14, as he only hauled in three catches for 35 yards. The Browns were executing a lot of big plays throughout the game but never really got the chance to have consistent red-zone looks that would allow for Njoku to outmatch his opponents in the end zone. Njoku has slowly started to fall from his early-season production and is starting to become hard to rely on with the fantasy playoffs here. Approach his position on your team gingerly moving forward.

From RotoBaller

Nick Chubb Dec 9 11:00pm ET

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb took a step back in production, getting only 13 carries for 66 yards versus the Carolina Panthers in Week 14. Chubb kept his hot streak of finding the end zone alive, tallying his fifth week in a row with a touchdown. This is also the second straight week that the rookie running back has been able to find value despite not receiving heavy volume, which should cause owners to salivate, as Chubb's floor seems to be non-existent. The Georgia product looks to continue his success as the team takes a trip to Denver for a Week 15 matchup against the Broncos.

From RotoBaller

Bruce Ellington Dec 9 11:00pm ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver Bruce Ellington caught all four of his targets for just 17 yards in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. Ellington was forced to leave the game in the third quarter with a hamstring injury and did not return. The 27-year-old has now caught at least four passes in every game since joining the Lions, but now he joins the host of Lions on the team's injury report. His Week 15 status for the game against the Bills will likely be up in the air, depending on the severity of the injury.
