The winless Atlanta Falcons will be playing without star wide receiver Julio Jones for Sunday's game with the unbeaten Chicago Bears.

Jones headlines the list of inactive players for Sunday's early games as he will be sidelined with a hamstring injury. Other key players missing for Atlanta include safety Ricardo Allen, cornerback Kendall Sheffield, offensive tackle Kaleb McGary, defensive tackle Deadrin Senat and defensive end Takk McKinley. Falcons first-round pick A.J. Terrell was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list on Saturday.

Among the other notable inactives around the NFL for Sunday's early games, Tennessee receiver A.J. Brown will miss his second straight game with a knee injury with the Titans at Minnesota. Tennessee outside linebacker Vic Beasley Jr., a key offseason acquisition, makes his Titans debut after missing the first two games with a knee injury.

For the Vikings, rookie cornerback Cameron Dantzler misses his second straight game with a rib injury, and another starter, Mike Hughes, is out with a neck injury. That leaves Holton Hill and rookie Jeff Gladney as the top two cornerbacks on a depleted, struggling defense.

The Patriots will be without starting center David Andrews and rookie linebacker Josh Uche when they host the Raiders after both were placed on injured reserve. Running back James White also will be out for the second straight game following the death of his father.

Andrews missed practice all week with a hand injury and Uche was hampered by a foot injury. Andrews spent the 2019 season on IR with a blood clot issue in his lungs but started the first two games of this season.

The Raiders will be without speedy rookie receiver Henry Ruggs III because of injuries to his knee and hamstring. Ruggs was ruled out along with starting right tackle Trent Brown and linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski.

Brown has been sidelined by a calf injury since leaving the opener at Carolina after one series. Kwiatkoski injured his pectoral muscle later in that game and will miss his second straight week.

In Buffalo's game with the Los Angeles Rams, Bills linebackers Tremaine Edmunds (right shoulder) and Matt Milano (hamstring) returned after missing one game. Both were listed as questionable on Friday. Veteran tight end Lee Smith was active for the first time this season with starter Dawson Knox out with a concussion.

For the Rams, running back Cam Akers has been ruled out because of a rib injury, while running back Malcolm Brown is active after hurting his left pinky finger last weekend.

In the Texans-Steelers game, Houston has made defensive tackle Ross Blacklock inactive a week after the rookie second-round was ejected from a loss to Baltimore for shoving after the whistle, a move that drew condemnation from his teammates.

The Steelers will have Pro Bowl right guard David DeCastro active for the first time this season. DeCastro missed the first two games because of a left knee injury. Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, who sat out practice early in the week with a knee issue, will also play for the unbeaten Steelers.

The Cleveland Browns will at least have one of their projected starting cornerbacks against Washington as Denzel Ward will play against Washington after being listed as questionable with a groin issue. Ward worked out on the field before the game and was cleared to go.

Cleveland's other starting cornerback, Greedy Williams, will miss his third game with a shoulder injury sustained in training camp. Defensive end Olivier Vernon is out again with an abdominal injury.

Player Notes
Dallas Goedert Sep 27 3:30pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of the team's Week 3 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Goedert only managed one catch on one target for seven yards before leaving the game early in the first half. Fellow Eagles tight end Zach Ertz of course receives the biggest boost with Goedert out. We should receive further details about the severity of Goedert's injury after the team finishes their game. Make sure to stay tuned.

Darius Slay Sep 27 3:30pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay (elbow) went to the locker room late in the third quarter of the team's Week 3 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He is reportedly dealing with an elbow injury and his return at this point is probably questionable at best. The Eagles Defense have been barely able to keep the Bengals at bay, as the Bengals had 17 points by the time Slay left the game. The Eagles Defense suffers a significant hit without their top cornerback Slay on the field.

Christian Kirk Sep 27 3:20pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Christian Kirk (groin) is inactive for Week 3 against the Detroit Lions. Kirk had been unable to practice all week while dealing with a groin injury, so it's no surprise that he's inactive today. Andy Isabella should get the biggest boost from Kirk's absence, but DeAndre Hopkins and Larry Fitzgerald could see some additional targets as well. Isabella is a risky start in fantasy, but you could do worse if you're in a pinch. The Cardinals should put up a lot of yards and points against Detroit and Isabella should have a chance to make a few big plays.

Diontae Johnson Sep 27 3:10pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of the team's Week 3 game against the Houston Texans. He left the game in the first half and was ruled out shortly after half-time. He finishes Week 3 with a disappointing line of no catches on two targets and one carry for nine yards.

Nick Foles Sep 27 3:10pm ET

The Chicago Bears have gone with a switch at quarterback in the third quarter of Week 3. Nick Foles entered the game to take over for Mitchell Trubisky as the team was trailing 26-10 to the Atlanta Falcons. Trubisky was 13-for-21 for 128 yards and a touchdown before being benched. He was also sacked twice. We'll see if Foles can play well enough to earn the starting job on a permanent basis going forward.

Kenny Golladay Sep 27 3:03pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay (hamstring) is officially active for the team's Week 3 game.

Fantasy Spin: Golladay is the main focal point in the passing game when healthy, so he should see a lot of targets against the Arizona Cardinals. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.

Desmond Trufant Sep 27 3:03pm ET

The Detroit Lions have declared CB Desmond Trufant, OG Logan Stenberg, S C.J. Moore, TE Hunter Bryant and RB Ty Johnson inactive for Week 3.

Davontae Harris Sep 27 3:03pm ET

The Denver Broncos have declared TE Albert Okwuegbunam, RB Phillip Lindsay, CB Davontae Harris, QB Blake Bortles, QB Drew Lock, OG Netane Muti and TE Nick Vannett inactive for Week 3.

Russell Gage Sep 27 3:00pm ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Russell Gage (head) won't return to Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. Gage has been having a strong season but finishes Week 3 with just two catches for 26 yards. The Falcons are now extremely shallow at receiver since Julio Jones is out this week, leaving Calvin Ridley and tight end Hayden Hurst as the team's top options. With a big lead already, expect the Falcons to run the ball for most of the second half. The big question now is if Gage will miss time moving forward and what would happen if both Gage and Jones are out for Atlanta's next game.

Jack Doyle Sep 27 2:53pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (knee) is officially active for the team's Week 3 game.

Fantasy Spin: Doyle likely will see a solid amount of targets in the passing game and should have a favorable matchup. He can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Braxton Berrios Sep 27 2:53pm ET

New York Jets WR Braxton Berrios (hamstring) is officially active for the team's Week 3 game.

Fantasy Spin: Berrios will have a major role in the passing game this week since the Jets will be without their top three receivers. He could be a flex option in deeper leagues and point-per-reception leagues.

From TheHuddle

Braxton Berrios Sep 27 2:50pm ET

A late addition to the injury report this week, New York Jets wide receiver Braxton Berrios (hamstring) will play on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. With Jamison Crowder and Breshad Perriman inactive, Berrios will have a good chance to see targets in this contest. The hamstring issue is a concern, but Berrios offers an intriguing deep-league streamer or DFS value play in Week 3. Just don't be surprised if the Jets offense struggles to get going and Berrios suffers as a result.

From RotoBaller

Tyrod Taylor Sep 27 2:43pm ET

The Los Angeles Chargers have declared WR Jason Moore, OT Storm Norton, TE Donald Parham, OG Trai Turner, QB Tyrod Taylor, RB Justin Jackson and LB Nick Vigil inactive for Week 3.

From TheHuddle

Breshad Perriman Sep 27 2:43pm ET

The New York Jets have declared QB Joe Flacco, S Ashtyn Davis, OT George Fant, WR Breshad Perriman, CB Quincy Wilson, QB James Morgan and WR Jamison Crowder inactive for Week 3.

From TheHuddle

Kawann Short Sep 27 2:43pm ET

The Carolina Panthers have declared DL Shareef Miller, CB Stantley Thomas-Oliver, OT Dennis Daley, DL Kawann Short, QB Will Grier and DE Yetur Gross-Matos inactive for Week 3.

From TheHuddle

Jack Doyle Sep 27 2:40pm ET

Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle (ankle/knee) is officially active for Sunday's contest against the New York Jets. It remains to be seen if Doyle will get his usual workload or not, but the veteran tight end appears to be a solid TE2 play this week. This also knocks down the value of backup tight end Mo Alie-Cox, who was a huge part of the Colts gameplan in Week 2. Alie-Cox is a high-risk, high-reward streamer still, but the risk is officially higher.

From RotoBaller

Derek Watt Sep 27 2:23pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers FB Derek Watt (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury during the Week 3 game and is considered questionable to return.

From TheHuddle

Diontae Johnson Sep 27 2:20pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson left Sunday's game against the Houston Texans and is being evaluated for a concussion. He's questionable to return. Pittsburgh's most consistent receiver this season, Chase Claypool and James Washington stand to see increased usage in the second half should Johnson be diagnosed with a concussion and fail to return to Sunday's game.

From RotoBaller

Russell Gage Sep 27 2:13pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Russell Gage Jr. (head) left the Week 3 game early and is being evaluated for a head injury. He is considered questionable to return.

Fantasy Spin: Gage may be able to return to the game if he is cleared by the doctors, so fantasy players should monitor the situation. He will have a bigger role in the passing game while Julio Jones is sidelined and can be at least a flex option if healthy.

From TheHuddle

Matt Ioannidis Sep 27 2:13pm ET

Washington Football Team DT Matt Ioannidis (arm) suffered an arm injury during the Week 3 game and will not return.
