Legendary Hall of Fame S Kenny Easley dies at 66

Pro Football Hall of Famer Kenny Easley, one of the top safeties in college and NFL history, died on Friday. He was 66.
On Saturday, the Seattle Seahawks announced the death of Easley, who spent his entire seven-year NFL career (1981-87) with the team from before a kidney ailment forced him to retire at age 28.
"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Seahawks Legend Kenny Easley," the Seahawks said in a statement. "Kenny embodied what it meant to be a Seahawk through his leadership, toughness, intensity, and fearlessness. His intimidating nature and athletic grace made him one of the best players of all-time."
Easley was a five-time Pro Bowl selection and a member of the 1980s All-Decade Team. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017 and the College Hall of Fame in 1991.
Easley was NFL Defensive Player of the Year when he led the NFL with 10 interceptions in 1984. He also was a three-time first-team All-Pro and had 32 interceptions in 89 career games, returning three for touchdowns.
"Kenny Easley would have been a dominant safety in any era," Hall of Fame president and CEO Jim Porter said in a statement. "When he was enshrined in 2017, he took his rightful place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and embraced his football immortality.
"Kenny possessed excellent ball skills, but make no mistake: His biggest strengths were his fearlessness and intensity. If you had the ball as an opposing offensive player, he was going to hit you hard -- and you were going to feel it for a while."
After his forced retirement, Easley sued the Seahawks, claiming large doses of ibuprofen prescribed by the team damaged his kidneys. The two sides later settled out of court. Easley underwent a kidney transplant in 1990.
Easley later reconciled with the franchise and was placed in the Seahawks' Ring of Honor in 2002, and his No. 45 was retired by the team in 2017.
The Seahawks selected Easley with the No. 4 overall pick in the 1981 NFL Draft after he was a three-time consensus All-American at UCLA and became the first player in Pac-10 history to be first-team all-conference four times (1977-80).
Easley still holds the school record of 19 interceptions and ranks fifth with 374 tackles. He finished ninth in Heisman Trophy balloting in 1980.
"We mourn the passing of Bruin legend Kenny Easley. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who were inspired by him," UCLA said in a statement on Saturday."

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden (shoulder) is officially active for Sunday's Week 11 contest against the New York Giants. He had been listed as questionable following three consecutive limited practices. The 22-year-old is returning from a one-week absence. Through eight games this year, he has just 23 catches for 262 yards, and he's still looking for his first career touchdown. The first-round pick has not yet lived up to expectations, ranking as the overall WR72 in PPR leagues so far. He can be benched or dropped in most redraft leagues.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston (shin) is officially active for Sunday's game on the road in Jacksonville against the Jaguars in Week 11. Johnston was officially listed as questionable to play this weekend, but he has been cleared and will be active against Jacksonville. The 24-year-old former first-rounder did most of his damage this year earlier in the season when Ladd McConkey was quiet, but he has remained involved in the Chargers' passing attack. In last week's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Johnston saw 10 targets, the second time this season he's had double-digit targets in a game. Through nine games in 2025, Johnston has 37 receptions for 502 yards and six touchdowns on 62 targets for the Bolts. Against the pass-funnel Jaguars defense, Johnston is a viable WR3/flex with boom potential for fantasy managers.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Jamal Agnew (foot) is officially active for Sunday's Week 11 contest against the Carolina Panthers. He had been listed as questionable after practicing in a limited capacity. Agnew has played almost exclusively on special teams this year, playing just one offensive snap so far. He has returned kicks for six consecutive games, totaling 24 kick returns and nine punt returns in 2025. Just last week, he had six kick returns for 135 yards. He's an appealing option in leagues that award points for return yardage. Otherwise, he can be left on waivers.

Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Keandre Lambert-Smith is a healthy scratch for the team's Week 11 contest on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Lambert-Smith was unable to play in the Week 10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a hamstring injury, but the 23-year-old fifth-rounder returned to a full practice this week and was cleared of his injury. There was some hype around Lambert-Smith during training camp, but he has really only contributed on special teams for the Bolts in his first year in the NFL. He has been active for six games in his rookie campaign, catching just one of four targets for one yard. Lambert-Smith should only be stashed right now in dynasty/keeper leagues.

During a 10-minute meeting with Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie, wide receiver A.J. Brown vowed that he'll stop complaining about the offense on social media, according to Sal Paolantonio of ESPN. Brown's meeting with Lurie was described as "highly unusual" and occurred during Thursday's practice after security chief Dom DiSandro ushered him to the owner. Brown has made his displeasure known this season, most recently complaining about the state of the Eagles' offense during a live stream on Twitch. While Brown vowed to stop complaining publicly, Lurie told him that he didn't need to apologize for his actions. The receiver explained that he "just wants to be a part of the offense and is frustrated," and the two hugged as the meeting ended. The 28-year-old has been underwhelming with 31 catches, 408 yards, and three touchdowns this season, but his frustration has stopped short of a trade request. In fact, he remains under contract through 2029, though it's possible that Philadelphia could bring his name up in trade talks next offseason. For now, though, he'll remain with the Eagles, looking to bounce back from a 10-week span that saw him rank as the overall WR39 in fantasy football. His first opportunity to get back on track will come on Sunday in Week 11 against the Detroit Lions.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) is officially inactive for the Week 11 game on Sunday against the visiting Los Angeles Chargers. Thomas suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 9 and will now miss a second straight game. The good news is that Thomas was able to practice this week (three limited showings), which should bode well for his chances of returning for a Week 12 game against the Arizona Cardinals. The Jags are also without rookie first-rounder Travis Hunter (knee) for the year, which means newcomer Jakobi Meyers, Parker Washington and Dyami Brown should operate as the team's top wideouts against the Bolts. Washington scored two touchdowns (one receiving, one on special teams) in last week's loss to the Houston Texans, and his elevated role makes him a prime WR4/flex option in PPR fantasy leagues.

Washington Commanders wide receiver Jaylin Lane (hip) exited during the second quarter of Sunday's Week 11 contest against the Miami Dolphins. He is officially listed as questionable to return. At the time of his departure, he had caught just one pass for 13 yards. Washington continues to be quite short-staffed at the wide receiver position, losing Lane in addition to the existing absences of Terry McLaurin (quad), Noah Brown (groin, knee), and Luke McCaffrey (shoulder). Robbie Chosen and Chris Moore will fill Lane's void alongside Deebo Samuel Sr.

Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai will face an unfavorable matchup while operating out of a split backfield during Sunday's Week 11 contest against the Minnesota Vikings. Monangai has impressed in his rookie season, tallying 390 rushing yards, 83 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. He's also two weeks removed from a 29-touch, 198-yard outing with D'Andre Swift sidelined. Now, though, Swift is healthy, and the two seem to have joint roles in the Bears' backfield. This is conducive to fantasy scoring against weaker opponents, but against a team like the Vikings, it might render Monangai tough to trust in lineups. Monangai had just seven carries for 28 yards last week, salvaging his outing with a touchdown, and now, he'll face a Vikings defense allowing the 11th-fewest fantasy points and third-fewest receiving yards to opposing running backs in 2025. Monangai is a low-end RB3/flex in deeper formats, and he can be benched in leagues with 12 or fewer teams.

Cincinnati Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson (hip, pelvis) will miss Week 11's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers because of a core muscle injury, according to multiple sources. Although placing Hendrickson on the Reserve/Injured list has been under consideration, the current hope is that he will be able to return to the field soon after rehabbing. Surgery following the season remains a possibility.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman (coach's decision) will be a healthy scratch ahead of Sunday's Week 11 contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. His absence is described as a coach's decision, but he's not being benched for performance-based reasons. In fact, Coleman reportedly had a strong week of practice. However, the coaching staff "wants to see more from him in other areas," according to Schultz. The 22-year-old has been relatively underwhelming in his second pro season, catching 32 passes for 330 yards and three touchdowns with one lost fumble through nine games. Mecole Hardman and Gabe Davis are expected to handle more opportunities in the passing game behind Khalil Shakir, Joshua Palmer, Elijah Moore, and Curtis Samuel.

Green Bay Packers kicker Lucas Havrisik is back and will handle all kicking duties during Sunday's Week 11 contest against the New York Giants. Havrisik will be active on gameday with Brandon McManus (quad) listed as doubtful and not expected to play. The 26-year-old appeared in two games earlier this year while filling in for McManus, and he certainly impressed, going 6-for-6 on extra points and 4-for-4 on field goals, including one from 50+ yards out. The Arizona product has shown that he has a strong, powerful leg, and he should immediately return to the top-12 fantasy kicker range with McManus sidelined. Havrisik doesn't have long-term fantasy value, but he's an incredibly strong streamer for Week 11.

Dynasty | The Broncos have placed running back JK Dobbins on injured reserve. Dynasty Analysis: Dobbins has a foot injury that will reportedly require surgery. If that's indeed the case, this has major implications in dynasty leagues. Dobbins himself was a weekly starter and now hits free agency as a very effective runner but one that still has injury concerns. It also opens the door for RJ Harvey to burst on the scene and become a league winning fantasy force down the stretch. Dobbins' ADP will fall and Harvey's is on the rise.
