Harvey is a must start Week 15
Alright, it is crunch time. You are either in the first round of your fantasy playoffs or the last week of your regular season, depending on your format. I say this a lot but I really mean it. Don’t get too cute. What do I mean by that? Well, it means start your top players and don’t overthink things. Sometimes owners get too caught up in matchups and bench a player they shouldn’t or start a player they shouldn’t. You don’t want to lose your first-round playoff game because you started Tyler Shough over Patrick Mahomes because he has been playing better and Mahomes has a really tough matchup. Don’t do it! Good luck in all your games. Let’s get some wins.
Now for my random thoughts for the week. . . . .
I would guess that Philip Rivers eventually gets a shot to start for the Colts - maybe not this week but in the weeks to come. You would have to think his arm strength isn’t what it used to be, so expect a lot of shorter throws. This likely gives tight end Tyler Warren and possession receiver Michael Pittman maybe a few more looks with Rivers at the helm. You still have to downgrade the entire offense going forward, though. Things are going south for the Colts in a hurry and to top it off, they have a very tough schedule to finish the season. Having any Colts fantasy players on your team is a concern for the rest of this year. Not good.
The Texans defense is proving to be matchup-proof. They shut down any team they play. Just keep that in mind in the coming weeks. Sometimes you have to make hard decisions, so don’t be afraid to bench a top fantasy player going against the Texans during the fantasy playoffs. This unit is no joke. Houston gets the Cardinals, Raiders and Chargers their next three games. Plan accordingly.
Every year, you get some unexpected league winners during the fantasy playoffs. I think Wan’Dale Robinson could be one of those league winners this year. He has been huge with Jaxson Dart as his starting quarterback, racking up the targets. He has double-digit targets four of seven games. He has some favorable matchups against the Commanders, Vikings and Raiders his next three games. Robinson is likely the WR2 or WR3 for your team, giving him great value because he could produce like a top-10 option the rest of the way.
Tyler Allgeier has absolutely put a huge dent in the fantasy value of Bijan Robinson. Could you imagine if Robinson got those goal-line scores over Allgeier? Allgeier has eight rushing touchdowns this year. That is 64 fantasy points. If Robinson had those scores, he would have 330.3 fantasy points, which would be first overall in running back scoring. He would be ahead of Christian McCaffrey. Instead, Robinson sits fifth in scoring. He is still having a very good fantasy season but what could have been, right?
I really hope the return of Mike Evans gets Baker Mayfield going. Mayfield just hasn’t produced near his numbers of the last few seasons in Tampa. He clearly has been impacted by the health of his receivers, most notably his favorite option, Evans. Maybe his return sparks Mayfield and gets him going for the fantasy playoffs. It would not surprise me if that happens. Evans is a huge key to this passing game.
Rookie Harold Fannin is going to be a fantasy star. He is sixth overall in fantasy receiver scoring as a rookie in an offense that has been a disaster much of the year. I’m looking forward to the years ahead when the offense is more competent and Fannin is even more seasoned. He is going to be a problem for a long time. This guy is the real deal at a position that can be very top heavy. Fannin is definitely on my radar for next year.
News and Notes: The Colts signed quarterback Philip Rivers to their practice squad on Tuesday. Rivers could challenge for the starting job for the Colts sooner than later. . . . .The Browns signed running back Trayveon Williams off the Chargers practice squad on Tuesday. Williams adds some depth to the backfield after the team lost Jerome Ford to injury.
HOT PLAYS
TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Patriots. Henderson has finally gotten his chance to be the lead back and is taking advantage. He has 11-plus fantasy points five straight games. He has more than 80 total yards all of those five games. Henderson has become a dependable RB2 for fantasy teams. He can post some good numbers this week against the Bills, a team that allows the sixth most fantasy points to running backs. The Bills have allowed more than 180-rushing yards five games this year.
Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jaguars. Lawrence has taken a big step forward this season, especially of late. He is fourth overall in fantasy quarterback scoring his last three games. He has 20-plus fantasy points three straight and seven of nine games. Lawrence has been a lot more consistent this season and performed as a top-10 fantasy quarterback most of the year. He should keep it up this week against a reeling Jets team. New York has allowed 23-plus points four straight games. The Jets even allowed 34 points last week to a so-so Dolphins offense.
R.J. Harvey, RB, Broncos. Harvey is becoming a must-start for fantasy teams, taking over the lead role in the Broncos running game. He has 21-plus fantasy points two straight games. He had a season-high 23 total touches last week, including six receptions. That amount of work in the passing game really helps his fantasy floor. Harvey doesn’t have the best matchup against the Packers this week, but Green Bay has been more susceptible to the run lately. The Packers allowed 138-rushing yards last week and 119-plus rush yards three of four games.
Jaylen Waddle, WR, Dolphins. Waddle continues to be a bright spot for the Dolphins offense. Miami struggled to do much through the air last week but Waddle still produced for fantasy teams. He had five receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown on seven targets. He also ran once for 21 yards, finishing with 18.1 fantasy points. He has 14-plus fantasy points four of six games. Waddle can produce well again in Week 15 against the Steelers, a team that allows the fifth most fantasy points to receivers.
DeVonta Smith, WR, Eagles. Smith has struggled in recent weeks, having fewer than double-digit fantasy points two straight and three of four games. The good news is he is getting his chances, having at least eight targets three straight games. He has 27 total targets during that stretch. It just seems a matter of time before Smith has another one of his huge games. We think it might happen this week against the Raiders, a team that is a bit of a mess right now. Las Vegas allows the third most fantasy points to receivers. Smith is worth a start this week.
COLD PLAYS
Breece Hall, RB, Jets. Hall is just 30th overall in fantasy running back scoring his last three games. He had just 4.3 fantasy points last week against the Dolphins and failed to catch a pass in that game. Hall is becoming a hard fantasy player to trust in this reeling Jets offense. With questions at quarterback this week, you just aren’t sure what you will get from this offense, making Hall a risky fantasy play. Hall also has a tough matchup against the Jaguars, a team that allows the fifth fewest fantasy points to running back. The Jaguars have allowed fewer than 100-rushing yards all but three games.
Alec Pierce, WR, Colts. Pierce has really taken his game to a new level this season, becoming a more well-rounded receiver. But even with that said, he has endured some down games along the way. He has less than double-digit fantasy points four of 11 games. The Colts have all sorts of concerns at quarterback now, which is a huge issue for Pierce. He is going to be hard to trust this week against the Seahawks, a team that allows the sixth-fewest fantasy points to receivers. Seattle has allowed fewer than 155-passing yards two straight and three of four games.
Caleb Williams, QB, Bears. Williams is playing well in year two but his fantasy numbers have kind of been all over the map. He has struggled to help fantasy teams in recent weeks. Williams has less than 18 fantasy points two straight and three of four games. He has failed to top 200-passing yards three of four games with the Bears going to a more run-heavy approach offensively. It could be more of the same this week against the Browns. Cleveland allowed just 108-passing yards last week but 184-rushing yards to the Titans. For the season, the Browns allow the fourth fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks.
Blake Corum, RB, Rams. Corum had his best game of the season last week, rushing 12 times for 128 yards and two touchdowns. He has found the end zone two straight games. We still think he is more of a matchup play for fantasy teams. Remember, he has double-digit carries four times this year and topped double-digit fantasy points just one of those four games. He also gets no work in the passing game, having just six receptions for the season. We look for him to come back down to earth this week against the Lions, a team that allows the fewest fantasy points to the running back.
Hunter Henry, TE, Patriots. Henry has at least four receptions three straight games and 70-plus yards two straight. He has produced well his last few games, showing a little more consistency. Henry remains a spot play, though, because of his production throughout the season. He has fewer than double-digit fantasy points eight of 13 games. Henry will struggle at times. He gets a tough matchup this week against the Bills, a team that allows the fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Henry had two receptions for 46 yards against the Bills in Week 5, scoring just 6.6 fantasy points.
SLEEPERS
Dylan Sampson, RB, Browns. With the Browns throwing the ball more last week, Sampson got more playing time and did well with his chances. He played 38 percent of the snaps and had five receptions for 64 yards on six targets. Sampson has double-digit fantasy points two of three games. It would not surprise to see him get a lot of work again this week in a game the Browns might need to throw the ball to play catchup against the Bears. Chicago also can struggle to stop the back in pass coverage. Sampson could be worth a look as a flex play in Week 15.
J.J. McCarthy, QB, Vikings. McCarthy returned to the lineup last week and scored three touchdowns. He had 22.05 fantasy points, his third game this season with 20-plus fantasy points. He has produced some good games along the way despite some inconsistent play on the field. McCarthy is likely to get plenty of chances to air it out this week against the Cowboys. The Vikings are likely going to need to score some points to keep up with the Cowboys offense. Plus, the Cowboys struggle against the pass, allowing the most fantasy points to quarterbacks.
Isaiah Likely, TE, Ravens. Likely is getting more looks in recent weeks, having six targets each of his last two games. Likely has double-digit fantasy points each of his last two games. He has some spot start appeal for fantasy teams the rest of the way. Likely gets a dream matchup this week against the Bengals, a team that can’t stop the tight end at all this year. The Bengals allow the most fantasy points to tight ends, giving up 24.18 points to the tight end. This is almost eight points more than the team allowing the second most points.
Chris Rodriguez, RB, Commanders. Rodriguez has emerged as the lead back for the Commanders. He has double-digit carries three straight games. His numbers haven’t been off the charts but decent in that starting role. He is worth using in the right matchup and a game this week against the Giants is a good one for him. The Giants have really struggled to stop the run, allowing the second-most fantasy points to running backs. New York has allowed at least 119-rushing yards all but three games.
Rashid Shaheed, WR, Seahawks. Shaheed had his best game as a Seahawk last week, catching four passes for 67 yards on five targets. He also returned a punt for a touchdown. Shaheed had quite the game. Maybe this gets him going. He has not done a whole lot since getting traded to Seattle. He is capable of the big game any given week, though, because of his big-play ability. It would not surprise to see him break off a big play or two this week against the Colts, a team dealing with injuries in the secondary. Indy allows the sixth most fantasy points to receivers.
High/Low Scoring Games
Each week, we will take a look at some of the high and low-scoring games for the coming week. In high-scoring affairs, get your marginal players on those teams in your lineup to take advantage of the possible points barrage. And in the low-scoring games, keep those marginal players on the bench and make sure to have your defenses involved in those contests.
High Scoring Games: Ravens/Bengals, Bills/Patriots, Commanders/Giants, Lions/Rams.
Low Scoring Games: Browns/Bears, Jets/Jaguars, Packers/Broncos.

Starts, Sits, Sleepers: Divisional Round
Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton praised quarterback Jarrett Stidham on Sunday. Stidham is "very accurate, and has a lot to his ball," said Payton. Stidham will start in the AFC Championship game vs. either the New England Patriots or the Houston Texans after Bo Nix (ankle) was ruled out for the remainder of the playoffs due to a broken bone in his ankle. Stidham has been under Payton's offensive system for three years and has shown great strength and mental aptitude. The 29-year-old is a serviceable option for the Broncos with Nix out, but hasn't started a game since Week 18 of the 2023 season. Stidham would be a risky option in playoff leagues and a GPP play in DFS for Championship week, as he will face a brutal matchup against the Patriots or Texans, whichever team advances.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Pittsburgh Steelers are open to quarterback Aaron Rodgers returning to the team in 2026. "The Steelers players are more than open to Rodgers returning to Pittsburgh; they want the four-time league MVP back and conveyed as much to various members of the Steelers organization during their exit meetings last week," per Schefter. Although it was reported on Saturday that a reunion was unlikely because Mike Tomlin was leaving the Steelers after 19 seasons as Pittsburgh's head coach. However, despite Tomlin's resignation, Pittsburgh hasn't shut the door on Rodgers returning. The veteran quarterback will be a free agent in March and will decide to either retire or return for another year in 2026. In his first year with the Steelers, Rodgers led them to the playoffs and threw for 3,322 yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions while rushing for 61 yards and one score through 16 games. Rodgers likely won't make a decision anytime soon. If he does decide to hang up his cleats, Rodgers will finish with 66,274 passing yards and 527 touchdown passes across 21 NFL seasons. Stay tuned.

Houston Texans running back Jawhar Jordan is a healthy inactive for the Divisional Round contest on Sunday against the New England Patriots, according to the team's official website. Jordan suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Week 18 regular-season finale against the Indianapolis Colts and didn't play in the Wild-Card win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night. The 26-year-old returned to practice this week, though, and was eventually removed from Friday's final injury report. Jordan took over RB2 duties from veteran Nick Chubb late in the year, but Chubb will handle backup duties behind rookie Woody Marks in New England on Sunday. Chubb had double-digit carries (10) against the Steelers for the first time since Nov. 2, but a lot of his work came in garbage time in the second half in the 30-6 blowout win. Fantasy managers shouldn't be expecting Chubb to handle much volume against the Pats.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said that the team will need to get running back Zach Charbonnet's knee imaged, but they are "optimistic" that his knee is structurally intact, according to John Boyle of Seahawks.com. Charbonnet injured his knee in the first half of the Divisional Round blowout win over the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night and never returned. The 25-year-old ended up with only five carries for 20 yards and wasn't involved at all in the passing game. Kenneth Walker III saw an expanded backfield role in the 41-6 rout after Charbonnet's injury, and he finished with 19 carries for a season-high 116 yards and three touchdowns. He added three catches for 29 yards. Even though Charb's knee may be structurally sound, it doesn't mean he'll be available for the NFC Championship next weekend against either the Bears or Rams. Velus Jones Jr. had the second-most carries (six) behind Walker after Charbonnet's injury on Saturday.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson has been playing some of the best football of his career lately, and he'll look to carry that momentum into Sunday's Divisional Round contest against the Houston Texans. Stevenson has scored double-digit fantasy points (full-PPR) in each of his last six games, re-establishing himself as the primary running back in New England. His last four games have been particularly dominant, as he has tallied 461 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns in that short window. His efficiency has been the most impressive part of his success, as Stevenson posted those absurd numbers while handling 13 or fewer touches in each of the four games. He should handle a similar workload on Sunday afternoon, but he'll admittedly face a tougher test in the form of the Houston Texans' elite defense. Houston's defense has allowed the fourth-fewest rushing yards and eighth-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs in 2025. We still believe that Stevenson's pure talent could allow him to overcome this difficult matchup, but managers should have lower expectations than they did in the last few weeks. As it stands, Stevenson ranks as the overall RB8 in RotoBaller's fantasy rankings for the Divisional Round, putting him one spot ahead of teammate TreVeyon Henderson.
From RotoBaller
Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze (foot) has delivered frustrating results over the last 14 weeks. Between missing time due to injury and struggling to emerge as a top receiving threat, Odunze has been a letdown for fantasy managers who were originally intrigued about his upside. After all, it was hard not to be excited after he opened the season with 20 catches, 296 yards, and five touchdowns through his first four games. The second-year receiver is certainly talented, and his upside remains high going forward. However, managers and bettors will find it challenging to trust him during the Divisional Round of the playoffs on Sunday, especially after he posted a modest line of two catches and 44 yards in the Wild Card Round. Odunze plays in a crowded offense that features Colston Loveland, DJ Moore, and Luther Burden III, all of whom have established themselves as more reliable options. It also doesn't help that Odunze is going up against the Rams, who ranked near the middle of the league in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers but had the 10th-best defense in terms of scoring. Finally, Odunze is banged up coming into this game. He is listed as questionable but expected to play. As it stands, he ranks as the overall WR10 in RotoBaller's latest fantasy rankings for the Divisional Round.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams returned from a three-game injury absence last weekend, and he immediately made an impact with five catches for 72 yards on 13 targets and a 72% snap share. Adams continued to carve out a sizable role alongside superstar Puka Nacua. With that being said, the veteran receiver was held without a touchdown for his third consecutive game -- his longest streak without a trip to the end zone since the first half of the 2024 season. Adams is a major touchdown threat, as evidenced by his 14 touchdowns through the first 12 games of the 2025 regular season. As a result, we wouldn't be surprised to see him get back on the board with a score against the Bears on Sunday. After all, this matchup is incredibly enticing and should work in Adams' favor. The Bears have allowed the third-most touchdowns and the third-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers in 2025. Adams ranks as the overall WR3 in RotoBaller's Divisional Round fantasy rankings, putting him behind only Nacua and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who played on Saturday evening.
From RotoBaller
Chicago Bears tight end Colston Loveland has been playing some of the best football of his young career lately, and he'll look to carry that momentum into Sunday's Divisional Round contest against the Los Angeles Rams. Loveland caught eight of his 15 targets for 137 yards in last Saturday's Wild Card win, and he now has 24 catches, 322 yards, and two touchdowns over his last three games combined. He has stepped up as Caleb Williams' favorite target, establishing himself as the alpha receiver in this offense over DJ Moore, Luther Burden III, and Rome Odunze (foot). With Odunze questionable and the other two receivers filling modest roles, Loveland is in line for another big game. The matchup should work in his favor, too, as the Rams rank near the middle of the league in terms of production against tight ends. During the regular season, Los Angeles allowed the 18th-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Loveland's upside is tremendous, and as a result, he ranks as the overall RB1 in RotoBaller's fantasy football rankings for the Divisional round.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams continues to be an appealing play heading into Sunday's Divisional Round contest against the Chicago Bears. Williams is coming off a solid showing in the opening round of the playoffs, during which he totaled 57 rushing yards, 18 receiving yards, and a touchdown. The 25-year-old has 14 touchdowns between the regular season and the playoffs, and he has also taken on an increased workload as a receiver this year. Even though he has lost some carries to Blake Corum, Williams remains the lead back in Los Angeles and should continue to produce as a top-tier running back. It also works in his favor that the Rams are facing off against the Bears, who ranked near the middle of the league with the 16th-most fantasy points allowed to running backs during the regular season. As it stands, Williams ranks as RotoBaller's RB2 for the Divisional Round.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson is getting ready for one of the toughest matchups of his young career. The rookie will be tasked with finding gaps in one of the NFL's strongest run defenses, the Houston Texans, during the Divisional Round of the playoffs on Sunday afternoon. Henderson was impressive during the back half of the regular season, racking up key yardage, earning snaps over Rhamondre Stevenson, and delivering four different multi-touchdown performances. However, he has started to lose snaps lately, while Stevenson has played incredibly well and is earning more snaps. During the Wild Card Round last week, Henderson had 10 touches for 36 yards on a 41% snap share. Meanwhile, Stevenson had 13 touches for 128 yards on a 63% snap share. Henderson offers a solid change of pace, but he's not a must-start running back this week, especially against a strong run defense. The Texans allowed the eighth-fewest fantasy points to running backs during the regular season, and they held Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell to a combined 63 rushing yards last Monday. As it stands, Henderson ranks as the overall RB9 in RotoBaller's rankings for the Divisional Round, putting him one spot behind Stevenson and one spot ahead of opponent Woody Marks.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy completed 15 of his 27 passes for 140 yards and an interception and rushed five times for 37 yards and lost a fumble in a 41-6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the Divisional Round. RB Christian McCaffrey (stinger) dealt with a stinger but managed 11 carries for 35 yards and caught five passes for 39 yards, and RB Jordan James added six carries for 28 yards and caught a seven-yard pass. TE Jake Tonges (foot) caught five passes for a team-high 59 yards before exiting with a foot injury, and WR Jauan Jennings had two grabs for 23 yards. WR Ricky Pearsall and WR Kendrick Bourne were both targeted twice, but neither caught a pass, and WR Demarcus Robinson gained a yard on his only catch. LB Dee Winters tied for the team lead with nine tackles, including three tackles for loss, and LB Eric Kendricks also had nine stops. S Malik Mustapha chipped in eight tackles and a sack.
From TheHuddle
Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold completed 12 of his 17 passes for 124 yards and a touchdown in a 41-6 win over the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round. RB Kenneth Walker III rushed 19 times for 106 yards and three touchdowns and caught three passes for 29 yards. WR Cooper Kupp caught five passes for a team-high 60 yards, and WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba had three grabs for 19 yards and a score. WR Rashid Shaheed gained 27 yards on two carries, and he returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown. TE AJ Barner was not targeted, but he did have a two-yard carry. LB Ernest Jones IV had six tackles and an interception, and DL Leonard Williams and DL DeMarcus Lawrence both recorded a sack.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey (shoulder) exited with a stinger during the third quarter of Saturday's Divisional Round contest against the Seattle Seahawks. He was briefly listed as questionable to return, but he checked back into the game midway through the third quarter. The superstar running back took multiple hits throughout the first 30-plus minutes of game action, and he was seeing testing his injury on the sideline. At the time of his initial departure, McCaffrey had totaled nine carries, 29 rushing yards, five catches, and 39 receiving yards. Bad injury news has plagued the 49ers left and right. In addition to various defensive injuries throughout the regular season, San Francisco lost George Kittle (Achilles) last week, and Jake Tonges (foot) is currently listed as questionable to return against Seattle. For the time being, McCaffrey will try to play through his injury with the 49ers' season on the line. However, we wouldn't be surprised to see No. 2 running back Brian Robinson Jr. earn more snaps while McCaffrey manages his injury.
From RotoBaller
Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (stinger) returned to the Divisional Round game against the Seattle Seahawks after exiting with a stinger.
Fantasy Spin: It looks like McCaffrey will try to play through the injury, but it remains to be seen if it will impact his effectiveness. Regardless, it looks like McCaffrey avoided any type of long-term injury.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers tight end Jake Tonges (foot) exited during the third quarter of Saturday's Divisional Round contest against the Seattle Seahawks. He is officially listed as questionable to return. Tonges suffered the injury following an incomplete pass, and he was seen trying to test his foot on the sideline. At the time of his departure, he had caught five of six targets for 59 yards. The 26-year-old earned the start at tight end after George Kittle (Achilles) was ruled out for the remainder of the playoffs. Throughout the seven games that Kittle has missed between the regular season and playoffs, Tonges has amassed 34 catches, 328 yards, and three touchdowns. It goes without saying that losing both Kittle and Tonges is terrible news for the Niners, who are trying to come back from a three-possession deficit in Seattle. Luke Farrell should take over as San Francisco's primary tight end for the time being.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (undisclosed) did not start the second half of the Divisional Round game against the Seattle Seahawks after being checked out by trainers at the end of the second quarter.
Fantasy Spin: The exact nature of the injury remains to be seen, but Brian Robinson Jr. should handle of a bulk of the backfield duties as long as McCaffrey is sidelined.
From TheHuddle
Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet (knee) exited during the second quarter of Saturday's Divisional Round contest against the San Francisco 49ers. He is officially listed as questionable to return. Charbonnet suffered the injury while being tackled by Dee Winters and Eric Kendricks. At the time of his departure, he had five carries for 20 rushing yards. The Seahawks backfield's one-two punch of Kenneth Walker III and Charbonnet is not only quite talented, but it also means that they should continue to run the ball effectively for the duration of Charbonnet's absence. Rather than turning to a depth running back with limited experience, Seattle will now just feed Walker with more opportunities. Walker had eight carries, two receptions, and a touchdown in the first half.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos quarterback Jarrett Stidham is expected to start next Sunday's AFC Championship game, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL.com. He takes over for Bo Nix (ankle), who is done for the playoffs after suffering a broken bone on the second-to-final play of Saturday's Divisional Round victory. Stidham hasn't attempted a regular-season pass since 2023, but now, he'll lead the Broncos as they attempt to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl. Denver's odds to win the Super Bowl have plummeted to +950 since head coach Sean Payton announced Nix was done for the playoffs. Stidham is a clear downgrade at quarterback, but the Broncos wouldn't have kept him around for three seasons if they didn't think he was a serviceable backup. He'll now be tasked with taking on either the Texans or Patriots on national television. The Texans have one of the league's best defenses, while the Patriots are the current favorite to win the AFC title. If there's any good news here, it's that Denver is the AFC's No. 1 seed and therefore will have home-field advantage next weekend.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix (ankle) suffered a broken bone in his ankle during Saturday's Divisional Round win over the Buffalo Bills, according to head coach Sean Payton. Nix has been ruled out for the remainder of the playoffs. This is shocking news out of Denver, as Nix's injury wasn't immediately evident during the Broncos' overtime win. Payton said that the second-year quarterback suffered the injury on the second-to-last play of the game, finishing the contest with a 56.5% completion rate, 279 passing yards, 29 rushing yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. This is a crushing loss for the Broncos, who can credit Nix as one of the main reasons why they finished with the best record in the AFC and advanced to the conference title game. His absence will force the Broncos to start Jarrett Stidham next Sunday against either the Patriots or Texans. Stidham's last NFL pass attempt came in 2023, when he threw for 272 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in a loss to the Raiders. The short-term implications of Nix's broken bone are massive. From a long-term perspective, though, he should make a full recovery in time for Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season.
From RotoBaller
Broncos quarterback Bo Nix suffered a broke bone in his ankle and will miss the remainder of the playoffs, according to ESPN reporter Adam Schefter.
