The Denver Broncos placed veteran left guard Ben Powers on injured reserve Saturday, six days after he sustained a biceps injury.
Powers sustained a torn biceps in the final series of last weekend's 21-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. He underwent surgery earlier this week and is expected to miss at least two months.
Powers, 28, had started 39 straight games for Denver since joining the team as a free agent prior to the 2023 season.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound Powers spent his first four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, who selected him in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He has started 75 of 86 games played.
Matt Peart, 28, is expected to start in Sunday's game against the New York Jets in London. He has started just nine of 65 games played with the New York Giants (2020-23) and Broncos.
Denver also elevated guard Calvin Throckmorton from the practice squad. He hasn't seen any action this season but got into two games in 2024.
Throckmorton, 29, has played in 48 games (27 starts) with the New Orleans Saints, (2021-22), Carolina Panthers (2023), Tennessee Titans (2023) and Broncos.
Denver also activated defensive tackle Malcolm Roach (calf) from injured reserve. The team is listing him as questionable for Sunday's game.
Roach, 27, will be making his season debut if he should get into the game. Last season, he had 43 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 17 games.
Roach also played with the Saints from 2020-23. He has 133 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 58 career games (six starts).
Starts, Sits, Sleepers: Week 6
According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the Los Angeles Chargers are "in the market" for a running back. Najee Harris (Achilles) is done for the remainder of the 2025 campaign. To make matters worse, rookie Omarion Hampton (ankle) landed on the Injured Reserve list and will miss at least the next four games. As a result, Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal will presumably split carries on Sunday versus the Miami Dolphins. That arrangement may remain the same until Hampton can return. However, it may change depending on who plays better, or if the Bolts bring in another running back. It's also worth mentioning the Chargers elevated Nyheim Hines, although he likely won't see much work in Week 6. With that in mind, fantasy managers should monitor things moving ahead. Still, it will be Hampton getting the bulk of the snaps at the position once he's back to full-strength no matter who's on the depth chart behim him.

Dynasty | The Cowboys have placed running back Miles Sanders on season-ending injured reserve. Dynasty Analysis: He will reportedly have season-ending knee surgery. It's been a disappointing fall from grace for Sanders, who lost any shot at a time-share early this season when Javonte Williams played much better than expected. Things have just not gone as expected since he left the Eagles as Sanders flamed out with the Panthers and struggled with Dallas. He'll look to latch on with a team next year but he's going to be placed on a lot of waiver wires this coming week.
Washington Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. (calf) is currently listed as questionable ahead of the Week 6 matchup against the Chicago Bears. It doesn't look good for Rodriguez who has been able to practice all week due to a lingering calf issue. Despite that, Rodriguez still has a chance to suit up for Monday's game. When healthy, Rodriguez hasn't done much with 23 carries for 105 yards and zero touchdowns. If active, Rodriguez figures to play a reserve role with Jeremy McNichols while Jacory Croskey-Merritt serves as the lead back.

Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore has gotten off to a sluggish start this season, recording just 16 catches on 21 targets for 173 yards and one touchdown through four games. The veteran wideout appears to have ceded the WR1 role to emerging second-year star Rome Odunze, who has quickly become Caleb Williams' favorite target. Before the bye week, Williams mentioned that Moore could serve as the "Deebo Samuel" of the Bears' offense, which has fantasy managers feeling uneasy. Fortunately, the Week 6 matchup against the Washington Commanders offers some hope. Washington has surrendered the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season, providing Moore with a chance to bounce back. Still, Moore profiles as a low-end WR3 for Week 6, as his fantasy production will likely hinge on whether he finds the end zone.

Washington Commanders wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (heel) is currently listed as questionable ahead of Monday's Week 6 game against the Chicago Bears. Samuel played through a bruised heel last week and has been limited in practice this week. Head coach Dan Quinn said the team will "take it into Monday" regarding Samuel's status for Monday's contest. That being said, it sounds like Samuel is going to be a legitimate game-time decision this weekend. That is a frustrating situation for fantasy managers as that will limit them in terms of options. The Commanders are going to be without Terry McLaurin (quad) and Noah Brown (quad, knee) for this game. If healthy, Samuel figures to have a big role in this game. He hauled in eight receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown last week. If he suits up, Samuel should be a viable WR2.

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ankle) is currently listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the New England Patriots. Despite that, Kamara is expected to suit up for Sunday's contest. He has been limited in practice this week due to an ankle injury he suffered last weekend. It doesn't sound like something that is going to sideline him, but it could limit him in terms of snaps. We could see Kendre Miller or even Devin Neal see more snaps if Kamara isn't 100 percent healthy. The 30-year-old hasn't done much on the field to help fantasy managers. He's falling into RB3 or flex territory, assuming he suits up for Week 6. Fantasy managers should check back for official word ahead of kickoff.
From RotoBaller
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker (quad) has been ruled out for the upcoming Week 6 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Coker had his practice window opened this week and was questionable for Sunday's game. He was a full participant in practice this week, but the Panthers have decided to hold him out for at least one more game. Coker has been out all season while nursing a quad injury he suffered in August. The hope is that Coker can make his season debut against the New York Jets next week. In the meantime, Xavier Legette and Hunter Renfrow should continue seeing increased work with Tetairoa McMillan being the primary wideout.

New Orleans Saints WR Alvin Kamara (ankle) is expected to play in Week 6 against the New England Patriots, sources said Saturday, Oct. 11.
Fantasy Spin: If you normally rely upon Kamara for fantasy purposes, it appears he'll be good to go. However, always make sure to circle back around and double-check the inactives 90 minutes before kickoff so you don't accidentally take a zero. If he suffers a setback, Kendre Miller would see a bigger role in the offense, so have him on standby, just in case.

Chicago Bears kicker Cairo Santos (thigh) is currently listed as questionable ahead of the Monday night matchup against the Washington Commanders. He has logged in three straight full practices this week. That being said, it sounds like Santos is trending towards suiting up for this game. The Bears might just be playing it safe here and are tagging Santos as questionable just in case. If he's unable to play, Jake Moody figures to be elevated from the practice squad. Neither kicker is an ideal streaming choice at the moment.

Free-agent PK Lucas Havrisik (Rams) was signed to the active roster of the Green Bay Packers Saturday, Oct. 11, with PK Brandon McManus (quadriceps) nursing an injury ahead of the Week 6 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Washington Commanders WR Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and WR Noah Brown (groin, knee) did not participate in practice Saturday, Oct. 11, and have been ruled out for Week 6. OG Samuel Cosmi (knee) fully participated in practice but is listed as doubtful. RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. (calf) and WR Deebo Samuel (heel) did not practice and are listed as questionable. TE John Bates (shoulder) and QB Jayden Daniels (knee) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

New York Jets placekicker Nick Folk will get the opportunity to keep his perfect streak alive in Week 6 when his team lines up with the Denver Broncos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The veteran has been uber-reliable over the previous few seasons, and he's carried that into 2025, beginning his second tenure with the Jets a perfect 9-for-9 on field goals and 7-for-7 on extra-point tries. Despite Folk's lethality in the kicking game, the inconsistencies of New York's offense have held him back from being more fantasy-relevant, and they could have trouble getting on the board again this weekend against a stout Denver defense. The Broncos have allowed the second-fewest points per game in the league thus far (16.8), and are particularly staunch toward opposing rushing attacks - the Jets' preferred mode of ball matriculation. Folk is hard to trust in a tough matchup, landing as RotoBaller's K29 for Sunday's meeting with the Broncos.

New York Jets wide receiver Arian Smith should see the field more in Week 6 when his team takes on the Denver Broncos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The rookie has amassed just five targets and four catches through five games in 2025. However, with the news that teammate Allen Lazard (personal) will be ruled out this Sunday, Smith should get a bit of extra run behind fellow wideouts Josh Reynolds and Garrett Wilson. The path to fantasy relevance is narrow, particularly with tight end Mason Taylor carving out a significant target share from quarterback Justin Fields. Still, New York may be forced to air it out a bit more with Denver's defense allowing the fifth-fewest rushing yards per game to opposing ground attacks (88.4). Smith isn't an option in season-long lineup leagues, but he's worth monitoring for dynasty purposes. The former Georgia Bulldog is RotoBaller's PPR WR116 for his matchup with the Broncos.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Josh Reynolds again won't be a recommended option for fantasy this weekend when his team takes on the Denver Broncos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. When healthy, the 30-year-old is the only other Jets' receiver out there for more than 60% of the snaps other than running mate Garrett Wilson. However, Reynolds has racked up just five receptions and 47 yards across nine targets (three appearances). Meanwhile, rookie tight end Mason Taylor is ascending, commanding 19 targets over the previous two weeks. While Wilson projects to have a favorable day against an underperforming Patrick Surtain II, Reynolds and the rest of New York's pass-catchers will be in for a slog against a stout unit. The veteran is RotoBaller's PPR WR91 for Week 6's matchup.
From RotoBaller
Rookie tight end Mason Taylor and the New York Jets offense will be tested in Week 6 when they face a staunch Denver Broncos defense in London. The LSU product is an ascending asset in the Jets' pass attack, racking up an impressive 19 targets (14/132) over the previous two contests - the most of any New York receiver. It's an encouraging sign for his outlook moving forward, but fantasy managers may want to exercise caution slotting him into their lineups for the team's bout with Denver's defense. The Broncos are more beatable through the air than on the ground, but are still affording opposing tight ends an average of just four receptions and 42.6 yards per game - the seventh- and eleventh-fewest marks in the league. Taylor figures to get a sizable target share. Still, his production is primarily tied to Fields' performance against a durable Denver D. The 21-year-old is RotoBaller's PPR TE14 for Sunday's slate of action.

Indianapolis Colts practice squad RB Ameer Abdullah was elevated to the active roster Saturday, Oct. 11, and will be available for the Week 6 game.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud III played just 35 percent of the team's offensive snaps in Week 4, which put him behind even Casey Washington (52 percent), who was healthy for the first time since Week 1. In Week 1, Washington also played more snaps than McCloud (95 percent vs. 72 percent) in a game that had the same dynamic that will be in play on Monday night, which is that WR Darnell Mooney (hamstring) will not suit up for the Falcons. With Kyle Pitts Sr. and Bijan Robinson seeing regular work in the passing game, in addition to Drake London, McCloud becomes the fourth or fifth option in the pecking order, which makes him irrelevantin most fantasy leagues this week. Washington drew six targets in Week 1 without Mooney on the field, hauling in three for 33 yards, although he's also nothing more than a DFS dart throw.
