Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Tobias Myers (4-2) turned in a quality start in a 6-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. Myers tossed 6 1/3 innings of scoreless ball while allowing four hits, walking two, and picking up six strikeouts. The rookie picked up his fourth win of the season. He owns a 3.26 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 42 strikeouts over 47 innings of work across 10 appearances (nine starts). Myers has emerged as a critical piece of the Milwaukee pitching rotation and should be in starting lineups for fantasy managers moving forward. His next outing is scheduled for Sunday against the San Diego Padres.

Los Angeles Dodgers rookie outfielder Andy Pages went 1-for-3 with a pair of walks, two runs and a solo home run in Tuesday's victory versus the Colorado Rockies. Pages homer came off Austin Gomber in the top of the second inning and flew 382 feet. The rookie has been having a very solid campaign since making his debut on April 16. On the year, Pages is hitting .262 with eight homers, 21 RBI and a .744 OPS in 202 at-bats. Pages has become a Rookie of the Year candidate with his strong campaign thus far and his numbers should only improve as he has moved up to the No. 5 spot in the batting order with Mookie Betts (hand) sidelined for the next six-to-eight weeks. Pages makes for a good play in both dynasty and redraft formats.

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Jason Heyward came up big off the bench in Tuesday's victory versus the Colorado Rockies. The veteran began the game on the bench, but pinch-hit for Chris Taylor in the top of the ninth inning and it would prove to be a huge at-bat as he took Rockies reliever Tyler Kinley yard for a grand slam that would cut the Rockies lead to one at the time. His grand slam turned all the momentum in the Dodgers favor as they would walk away winners of the contest. Heyward has revived his career in Los Angeles over the past one and a half years, but he remains a better real-life player than fantasy player. As a platoon player, Heyward does not offer much value outside of DFS for now. On the season, he is now hitting .250 with four homers and 15 RBI over 80 at-bats.

Texas Rangers infielder Josh Smith (hamstring) made his first start since June 13 due to a hamstring injury and returned in a big way on Tuesday versus the New York Mets. Smith suited up as the designated hitter and went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run out of the No. 3 spot in the batting order. Smith has quietly put together a nice season with a .298 batting average to go along five homers, 28 RBI and four stolen bases in 69 games. Third baseman Josh Jung (wrist) has begun his rehab assignment, but Smith's versatility across the diamond should keep him in the lineup. Smith has overachieved this season, but his versatility and spot in the middle of the Rangers lineup should continue to make him a valuable option in deeper leagues.

Seattle Mariners outfield prospect Jonatan Clase was sent down to Triple-A Tacoma on June 3 and has been productive upon his return to the Rainiers. Clase is hitting .300 with Tacoma in June with a home run, five RBI, and six stolen bases. The No. 10 prospect for the Mariners started the season at Triple-A and got a taste of the big leagues, hitting .176 in 34 at-bats with three RBI and two stolen bases. The 22-year-old boasts top-end speed (70-grade) and translated that to 79 steals across two levels of the minors in 2023. Those wheels will play at any level, but Clase's next step is proving he can consistently get on base. If he improves in that regard, he could be an impact player in fantasy leagues of all sizes upon his return to Seattle.

Cincinnati Reds outfielder TJ Friedl (hamstring) remains out of the starting lineup for the series finale on Wednesday against the hosting Pittsburgh Pirates. Friedl was forced from the series opener on Monday due to a tight hamstring and will now miss his second straight game. The 28-year-old doesn't think it's a serious injury and should be considered day-to-day for now. But if Friedl isn't ready to go on Friday for the start of a series against the visiting Boston Red Sox after an off day on Thursday, he could quickly become a candidate to land on the injured list yet again. Stuart Fairchild is making another start in center field and will bat seventh against Pirates right-hander Mitch Keller on Wednesday. Friedl hits right-handers really well, but injuries have been the story of his season so far in 2024, and he's gone just 18-for-84 (.214) with four homers and six stolen bases.

Miami Marlins outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hamstring) was scratched from Wednesday's starting lineup against the visiting St. Louis Cardinals with right-hamstring tightness for precautionary reasons. Chisholm will be available off the bench and should be considered day-to-day. Vidal Brujan will get the start in center field and will bat seventh, while Otto Lopez draws into the lineup at second base and will hit in the eight-hole against Cardinals right-hander Kyle Gibson. The Marlins have a scheduled day off on Thursday, so there's a good chance Chisholm will be back in there for Friday's series opener against the Seattle Mariners. The 26-year-old remains a must-start in most fantasy leagues when he's active, as he's currently hitting .266/.333/.446 on the year with 10 homers, 36 RBI and 13 stolen bases in 271 at-bats. He's also in the midst of a seven-game hitting streak in which he's gone 11-for-23 (.478) with a homer, a triple, five RBI, three walks and a steal.

St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Masyn Winn (illness) is feeling better on Wednesday and is back in the starting lineup against the Miami Marlins and right-hander Yonny Chirinos, starting at shortstop and batting leadoff for the Red Birds. Winn was scratched from Tuesday's lineup with an illness but is feeling better a day later and should be returned to starting fantasy lineups. The 22-year-old former second-round pick in 2020 is excelling in his first full season as the team's starting shortstop, batting .295 (66-for-224) with four home runs, 12 doubles, three triples, 26 RBI, eight stolen bases, 17 walks, 49 strikeouts and 25 runs scored in 247 plate appearances over 65 games in his second big-league season. Winn doesn't have much power but has been a nice table-setter for St. Louis out of the leadoff spot. He's hitting .266 this month with two homers, eight RBI and one steal.

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner will head to the bench for Wednesday's series finale against the visiting San Diego Padres as the Phillies go for the three-game sweep. Turner just returned from a long stint on the injured list earlier this week with a significant hamstring strain, so his day of rest on Wednesday was likely planned as they ease the 30-year-old All-Star back into the mix. The Phillies have an off day coming on Thursday, so Turner's next chance to get into the lineup will be on Friday against the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks. In his first two games back on Monday and Tuesday against San Diego, Turner went 3-for-10 with a run scored. In 147 at-bats this year, Turner is hitting an impressive .340 with two homers, nine RBI and 10 steals. Edmundo Sosa is manning the 6 and will hit seventh against Padres right-hander Matt Waldron on Wednesday.

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder/designated hitter Joc Pederson will retreat to the bench on Wednesday against the Washington Nationals with left-hander Patrick Corbin toeing the rubber in D.C. Pederson has made just one start this year against a left-handed starting pitcher, so it's no surprise to see him sitting at the start of this contest. Eugenio Suarez is serving as the designated hitter and will bat sixth, while rookie Blaze Alexander gets the start at third base and is hitting eighth against Corbin. The 32-year-old left-handed-swinging Pederson has had a nice bounce-back campaign so far in 2024 in the desert with the Snakes, as he's currently hitting .299 (52-for-174) with nine homers, 33 RBI and four stolen bases. He's had only 11 plate appearances against southpaws, though, which limits his fantasy ceiling.

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Walker Buehler (hip) said there have been talks about him getting some sort of "blow," perhaps a week but maybe up to a month, amid his struggles so far this season in his return from Tommy John surgery last year. Buehler also took a comebacker off his hip in his start at Coors Field against the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night that manager Dave Roberts said they had some "concern" about. An injured-list stint is possible for Buehler, according to Roberts, but the team will evaluate him in the coming days. The 29-year-old allowed seven runs on seven hits while walking one and striking out just two in four innings for a no-decision in Colorado on Tuesday to raise his season ERA to 5.84 and his season WHIP to 1.51 on the year in his eight starts (37 innings). If he does make his next start, it will be a great matchup against the White Sox, but it's hard to recommend starting Buehler right now.

The Chicago Cubs designated veteran catcher Yan Gomes for assignment on Wednesday and signed free-agent catcher Tomas Nido to an undisclosed deal in a corresponding move. The 36-year-old Gomes just wasn't getting it done as the primary backup to starting catcher Miguel Amaya, slashing a pitiful .154/.179/.242 this year with two home runs, seven RBI, seven runs scored, two walks and 36 strikeouts in 96 plate appearances over 34 games in his third year with the Cubbies. Gomes will turn 37 in July, and it's unclear if any other organization will be interested in adding him as catching depth. Nido was released by the New York Mets recently after going 19-for-83 (.229) with eight RBI in 32 games in the Big Apple in 2024. He'll take over as Amaya's backup in Chicago.

New York Yankees outfield prospect Spencer Jones is bouncing back from a disappointing May where he went 17-for-100. Through 15 games in June, he's 18-for-61 with three doubles, three home runs, and a 6:21 BB/SO ratio, collecting at least one hit in all but two games. Overall, his season totals have gradually improved this month. At the end of May, he was slashing just .220/.314/.327. Now, his slash line through 53 games is up to .242/.328/.384. Jones, the Yankees' No. 2 prospect (per MLB.com), is expected to make his MLB debut in 2025.

The Pittsburgh Pirates activated infielder Alika Williams (wrist) from the 10-day injured list on Wednesday and optioned him to Triple-A Indianapolis. Williams recently missed some time with a right-wrist sprain, but he's healthy now and will go back to the minors to bide his time until Pittsburgh needs more infield depth at the major-league level. The 25-year-old former 37th overall pick by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2020 out of Arizona State isn't much of a fantasy option, even in the deepest of leagues, as he's hit just .202 (33-for-163) with no home runs, six doubles, two triples, eight RBI, one stolen base, 11 walks and 49 strikeouts in 180 plate appearances and 69 games since making his big-league debut in 2023. Jared Triolo will continue to serve as Pittsburgh's primary utility infielder with Williams being sent down.

St. Louis Cardinals right-hander Kyle Gibson (back) was a late scratch for his scheduled start on Wednesday against the hosting Miami Marlins with back tightness. Left-hander Matthew Liberatore ended up making the emergency spot start for the Cardinals. We'll have more updates on Gibson's status in the coming days, but for now, it's unknown when he'll be able to make his next start, and he could be a candidate to land on the 15-day injured list. The 36-year-old veteran has gone 5-2 in his first season with St. Louis and has posted a decent 3.44 ERA (4.15 FIP) and 1.19 WHIP with 73 strikeouts and 31 walks in 83 2/3 innings over his 14 starts. His strikeout rate of 21.3% is the highest since 2019 when he was with the Twins, and so far he's been able to limit the long ball, which has been an issue for him in the past.

The Oakland Athletics are set to recall first base/outfield prospect Lawrence Butler from Triple-A Las Vegas. Butler performed well enough in the Cactus League to break camp with the club, but struggled mightily and was demoted on May 14. In his time with Las Vegas, Butler hit .255 with four homers and nine RBI in 110 at-bats. Butler takes the spot of infielder J.D. Davis, who was designated for assignment. Butler hits the ball hard and offers pop and speed, but it hasn't translated in his two stints as a big leaguer thus far. The 23-year-old still can remain on the waiver wire for now, but he is worth watching as he should get a good opportunity to prove himself on a developing Athletics roster.

Minnesota Twins outfield prospect Emmanuel Rodriguez (thumb) was placed on the 7-day injured list on June 7 and remains sidelined at Double-A Wichita. Rodriguez was having a nice season at Wichita with a .298 average, eight home runs, and 20 RBI to go with a 1.100 OPS. He has added nine stolen bases. The No. 3 prospect in the Twins' system has shown good plate discipline (46 strikeouts, 40 walks) and possesses 60-grade power. Unfortunately, the injury has stalled some of his progress but he could still be looking at a promotion to Triple-A at some point this season. The 21-year-old is likely looking at 2025 for a major-league debut but his hitting profile makes him one of the top young outfielders for fantasy purposes.

Chicago Cubs first baseman Michael Busch homered in Monday's 7-6 loss at the San Francisco Giants, his first dinger since going deep on May 28. Busch's ninth homer was a two-run shot in the sixth inning that gave the Cubs a 2-1 lead. He is hitting .324/.425/.471 with a .896 OPS in June. Overall, Busch is slashing .255/.350/.450 with a .800 OPS with 26 RBI and 31 runs scored. Busch is a solid second-tier first baseman whose value increases in leagues that use OBP or OPS as a category.

Minnesota Twins outfield prospect Walker Jenkins (hamstring) returned to Single-A Fort Myers on June 4 and has driven in eight runs in his eight games back from a hamstring injury. During those eight games, the 19-year-old switch hitter has more walks (six) than strikeouts (five). Jenkins is Minnesota's top overall prospect, and his five-tool profile makes him one of the top young players in the minors. The hamstring injury dampened some of his excitement this year, and he has yet to hit a home run in 2024. However, the buzz is still there whenever this young superstar is able to take the field. At 19, Jenkins will likely get a few more years of seasoning in the minors before he debuts at Target Field. We could be looking at a fantasy superstar for years to come.

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher James Paxton (7-1) struck out eight over seven innings during Monday's 9-5 win at the Colorado Rockies. Paxton also recorded his sixth quality start, allowing two hits, one earned run, and one walk while picking up his seventh win of the season. Overall, Paxton has a 3.65 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP, striking out 43 and walking 33 in 66 2/3 innings. Fantasy managers of Paxton will have to wait until next Monday for his next start, an ideal matchup at the White Sox, where he is projected to square off against Chicago ace Garrett Crochet.
