    Tyler O'Neill Wed Aug 6 11:30am CT

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Tyler O'Neill (wrist) is out of the lineup Wednesday against Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez. Jeremiah Jackson will play right field in place of O'Neill and hit fifth. O'Neill is sitting out after leaving early on Tuesday with discomfort in his right wrist. X-rays came back negative after the game, but O'Neill is now wearing a soft brace on his wrist and is considered day-to-day, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. This has been a rough and injury-plagued season for O'Neill, who joined the Orioles in free agency after slugging 31 home runs for the Boston Red Sox in 2024. He has appeared in just 43 games and hit .210/.293/.434 with eight homers, 23 RBI, 20 runs scored, and two steals in 164 plate appearances.

Wilmer Flores Wed Aug 6 11:20am CT

San Francisco Giants designated hitter/first baseman Wilmer Flores (hamstring) is out of the lineup again for Wednesday's matchup against Pittsburgh Pirates left-hander Andrew Heaney. Rafael Devers will DH and hit second, while Casey Schmitt will play first base and hit fifth. Flores hasn't played since last Friday because of an issue with his left hamstring, but the Giants have elected against placing him on the 10-day injured list. The 34-year-old is hitting a modest .249/.318/380 with 12 home runs, 59 RBI, and 36 runs scored in 380 plate appearances this season. However, Flores has struggled mightily over the past couple of months. He posted a .641 OPS with one home run in June and logged a .605 mark with another HR in July.

Gleyber Torres Wed Aug 6 11:10am CT

Detroit Tigers second baseman Gleyber Torres (forearm) is back in the lineup Wednesday and hitting second against Minnesota Twins right-hander Pierson Ohl. Torres missed the Tigers' 6-3 loss to the Twins on Tuesday with a forearm issue,, and manager A.J. Hinch said afterward that he's dealing with "some general soreness." It won't be enough to keep Torres out of the lineup for a second straight day, though. The three-time All-Star is hitting .273/.370/.426 with 13 homers, 55 RBI, 58 runs scored, and four steals in 430 plate appearances.

Byron Buxton Wed Aug 6 11:00am CT

Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (rib) is not ready to come off the 10-day injured list and won't return to the lineup Wednesday against the Detroit Tigers. Alan Roden will play center field in Buxton's place and lead off versus right-hander Jack Flaherty. Buxton has been on the injured list with left rib cartilage irritation since July 27, and he could return to the lineup Friday against the Kansas City Royals. Fantasy managers should check back for further updates on Buxton before then. The 31-year-old slashed an excellent .282/.343/.561 with 23 homers, 59 RBI, 68 runs scored, and 17 stolen bases over 364 plate appearances before he landed on the shelf.

Alex Lange Wed Aug 6 7:00am CT

Detroit Tigers right-hander Alex Lange (lat) made back-to-back rehab appearances at Triple-A on August 1 and 2 as he works his way back from lat surgery that has sidelined him all season. The 28-year-old former first-round pick is nearing a return but faces a crowded bullpen with Kyle Finnegan, Tommy Kahnle, and Will Vest entrenched in high-leverage roles. Lange's path to fantasy relevance will depend on whether he can regain his pre-injury velocity, particularly his fastball that once sat near 96 mph. He's a wait-and-see stash in deeper leagues but could factor into the bullpen mix if his stuff returns.

    From RotoBaller

Paul Sewald Wed Aug 6 6:50am CT

Detroit Tigers reliever Paul Sewald (shoulder) began a throwing program on August 4 as he works toward a potential September return. Acquired at the trade deadline, Sewald is expected to serve as a key late-inning arm down the stretch, putting him in line for save and hold opportunities once healthy. The veteran right-hander is aiming to bolster a Detroit bullpen that's lacked consistency in high-leverage spots. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues or those preparing for playoff pushes should consider stashing Sewald now, as his experience and role could make him a valuable asset over the final weeks of the season.

    From RotoBaller

    Sawyer Gipson-Long Wed Aug 6 6:40am CT

Detroit Tigers right-hander Sawyer Gipson-Long (neck) will make another rehab start Wednesday as he continues his return from neck stiffness that paused his assignment on July 18. The 27-year-old has posted a 4.70 ERA with 18 strikeouts over 23 innings in five appearances this season. With Detroit adding Chris Paddack and Charlie Morton to replace injured starters Jackson Jobe and Reese Olson, Gipson-Long will need to earn a rotation spot upon return. While there's some intrigue in deeper fantasy formats, his role remains uncertain, and managers should proceed with caution until there's more clarity on his usage.

Dylan Beavers Wed Aug 6 6:20am CT

Baltimore Orioles outfield prospect Dylan Beavers continued his impressive power surge at Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday evening. Facing Rochester, the outfielder launched two long balls and scored three runs. During his previous game on August 3 against Memphis, Beavers went 3-for-5 with two round-trippers. Over his last 11 games, Beavers has been one of the most dominant hitters in the entire minor leagues, posting a .359/.545/.949 slash line with an eye-catching seven long balls and two stolen bases. Overall, the 23-year-old has posted a .310/.423/.539 slash line through 86 games with the Norfolk Tides this season. With Ramon Laureano and Ryan O'Hearn being shipped to San Diego, Beavers should be viewed as a high-end stash in all redraft leagues, as he appears to be just days away from a potential promotion.

    From RotoBaller

Jesus Made Wed Aug 6 6:10am CT

Milwaukee Brewers shortstop prospect Jesus Made wasted little time to make an impact since earning a promotion to High-A. In his debut with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the top-ranked prospect in the Milwaukee system went 1-for-5 with a triple and a run. He struck out three times. The 18-year-old enjoyed an impressive start to the season at Low-A and is quickly progressing through the Milwaukee system. At Low-A, Made held a .267/.373/.388 slash line with 21 doubles, four home runs, and an impressive 40 stolen bases. While the 18-year-old is still several seasons away from his MLB debut, Made is a fast-rising dynasty asset. He should be viewed as a must-stash in all keeper/dynasty formats as he could be viewed as the No. 1 prospect in baseball once he reaches the upper levels.

    From RotoBaller

Luke Keaschall Wed Aug 6 6:00am CT

Minnesota Twins second base prospect Luke Keaschall wasted little time to make an impact in his first game in the majors since April. On Tuesday evening, the former 49th overall pick went 2-for-4 with a home run and single. The No. 46-ranked prospect on MLB.com would go deep in his first at-bat of the evening and hit a two-run shot off Detroit right-hander Chris Paddack. Later in the contest, Keaschall would knock an RBI single to tally his third RBI of the game. Keaschall missed nearly the entire first half due to a fractured forearm. During his first seven games in Minnesota before the injury, Keaschall posted an impressive .368/.538/.526 slash line with five stolen bases. Given his ability to hit for power and steal bases, he should be viewed as a top target on the waiver wire this week.

Kristian Campbell Wed Aug 6 6:00am CT

Boston Red Sox infield/outfield prospect Kristian Campbell continued to perform at an elite level at Triple-A Worcester. On Tuesday evening, the former top prospect extended his incredible hitting streak to 14 games. During this contest against Triple-A Buffalo, the Georgia Tech product went 2-for-4 with an RBI. During this 14-game stretch, Campbell has posted a remarkable .404/.483/.615 slash line with two doubles, three home runs, one stolen base, and an 11:7 K:BB. Campbell opened the 2025 campaign in Boston but was optioned after he hit a skid in May. However, in April, has was quite productive, holding a .287/.388/.460 line with an .848 OPS. Given his recent surge at Triple-A, he should be viewed as a high-end hitting prospect to stash in all formats.

Logan Webb Wed Aug 6 2:50am CT

Giants' SP Logan Webb recorded 10 strikeouts in 6 innings with the win in a 8-1 win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

Daulton Varsho Wed Aug 6 2:09am CT

Blue Jays' RF Daulton Varsho had six RBIs going 3-for-5 with two home runs in a 10-4 win over Colorado on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

JJ Bleday Wed Aug 6 1:49am CT

Athletics' RF JJ Bleday had six RBIs going 4-for-6 with a home run in a 16-7 win over Washington on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

Devin Williams Wed Aug 6 12:00am CT

New York Yankees relief pitcher Devin Williams continued his poor season on Tuesday, taking the loss in a 2-0 game against the Rangers. Williams came in to pitch the eighth inning with the game scoreless. He got the first out on a ground-out, allowed a double and two walks, gave up a go-ahead, two-RBI single, got the second out on a force-out, and then exited the game. Mark Leiter Jr. got the third out without allowing any more damage. Williams, who has historically been one of fantasy's most reliable closers, has been awful this season, going 3-4 with 17 of 20 save opportunities converted to go with a 5.44 ERA, a 1.21 WHIP, and an 11.51 K/9 rate in 43 IP. He has allowed runs in each of his last four appearances, and his last three appearances have resulted in two blown saves and a loss. The Yankees just acquired David Bednar and Camilo Doval, and also have Luke Weaver, who has some closing experience. At this point, it remains to be seen how many opportunities Williams will get before the Yankees turn to one of their other late-inning options.

Phil Maton Tue Aug 5 11:50pm CT

Texas Rangers relief pitcher Phil Maton picked up his third save of the season and his first with his new team in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Yankees. Maton came in to pitch the top of the ninth inning up by two. He allowed a leadoff single but induced a ground-ball double play and ended the game with a strikeout. Robert Garcia (back) has seen the majority of save opportunities for the Rangers lately, but he exited last Saturday's game with back spasms and has not pitched since. Maton is one of several relievers who could see save opportunities in the interim, and no one player has held down the role of closer for long with the Rangers this season. He has pitched well, earning 21 holds with a 2.18 ERA, a 1.09 WHIP, and an 11.10 K/9 rate in 41 1/3 innings of work.

Shea Langeliers Tue Aug 5 11:40pm CT

Athletics catcher Shea Langeliers made history in Tuesday's 16-7 win over the Nationals. Batting leadoff for the first time in his career, Langeliers went 5-for-6 with a single, a double, and three solo home runs. The 27-year-old became the second catcher in Major League history to hit three HR in a game while batting leadoff. The former fantasy prospect has come into his own this season, slashing .272/.323/.545 with 22 HR, 48 RBI, and five stolen bases in 341 plate appearances. The Athletics have hit surprisingly well as a team, making Langeliers a solid fantasy option, regardless of where he hits in the lineup.

    From RotoBaller

Orlando Arcia Tue Aug 5 11:30pm CT

Colorado Rockies third baseman/shortstop Orlando Arcia (unknown) exited Tuesday's 10-4 loss to the Blue Jays in the fifth inning with an apparent injury, per Denver Post's Patrick Saunders. Arcia hit a single in the fifth but then exited the game. He went 1-for-2. Fantasy managers should keep an eye out for more information. The 31-year-old has had a poor offensive season between the Braves and the Rockies, slashing .182/.217/.273 with three home runs and eight RBI in 161 plate appearances.

    From RotoBaller

Joey Loperfido Tue Aug 5 11:20pm CT

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Joey Loperfido (knee) exited Tuesday's 10-4 win over the Rockies in the sixth inning with a right knee contusion. Loperfido was hit by a 98-MPH fastball in the knee and exited the game immediately. X-rays were negative, per MLB's Keegan Matheson, but fantasy managers should wait for further updates in the coming days. The 26-year-old went 1-for-2 with a single and a strikeout before being replaced by Myles Straw. Hopefully, he won't have to miss too much time, as Loperfido has been crushing the baseball with a .389/.436/.542 slash line since getting called up at the beginning of July.

    From RotoBaller

Thairo Estrada Tue Aug 5 11:20pm CT

Colorado Rockies second baseman Thairo Estrada (leg) left Tuesday's 10-4 loss to the Blue Jays in the sixth inning with an apparent leg injury. He landed on the first-base bag awkwardly while trying to beat out a double-play ball and exited after. He went 0-for-3 before exiting. The 29-year-old has had a run of bad injury luck this season, missing time already with a right wrist fracture and a sprained left thumb. He hasn't been able to get things clicking at the plate when he has been healthy, slashing .253/.285/.370 with three home runs, 21 RBI, and one stolen base in 165 plate appearances. Fantasy managers should keep an eye out for more information on Wednesday.
