Kansas City Royals right-hander Lucas Erceg picked up two saves over the weekend during the Royals' road trip to Seattle to take on the Mariners. On the season, Erceg has now racked up nine saves in 11 save opportunities, all while posting a 3.77 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and 13 strikeouts in 14 1/3 innings pitched with 10 walks allowed. Since a few bumps in the road on April 16 at Detroit and April 20 versus Baltimore, where in those two outings he allowed four earned runs on 1 2/3 innings pitched while blowing two save opportunities in a row, Erceg has been lights out in every other appearance. Four of the six earned runs that Erceg has allowed this season came in those two outings. Erceg appears to have a firm grip on this closer role and ranks second in MLB in total saves with nine, remaining a must-start in all formats, especially while Carlos Estevez (foot) remains sidelined.

Jose Caballero appears to have earned himself an extended look as the Yankees' primary shortstop, as Anthony Volpe (shoulder) was reinstated from the injured list, but optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday. Volpe was expected to return to his position as the Yankees' primary shortstop upon returning from injury, but with Caballero playing well, slashing .250/.298/.397 with four home runs, 12 RBI, 13 stolen bases, and 15 runs, Caballero has clearly made the most of his opportunity, and the Yankees appear to be rewarding him for that. Although Caballero has earned the role defensively and on the surface, regression may be on the horizon given his very poor contact quality. He ranks in the first percentile in average exit velocity (83.4 mph) and 11th percentile in bat speed and hard-hit percentage (68.5 mph and 3.4 percent, respectively). All that to say, he is not necessarily impacting the ball all that well, and fantasy managers may want to be cautious of assuming Caballero will be their shortstop long-term, but one thing is for sure: while he remains in the lineup, he will be an excellent source of steals in category formats.

Miami Marlins left-handed pitching prospect Robby Snelling enjoyed an impressive bounce-back showing in his most recent start at Triple-A and holds elite stash upside in Week 6 of the fantasy baseball season. On May 1, Snelling struck out nine hitters over five no-hit frames against Triple-A Durham. He allowed just one free pass. This was a stellar showing, especially for Snelling, who had his worst outing of the season in his previous start, where he walked a season-high five batters while allowing two runs. Despite this lone blunder on his statsheet, Snelling has struck out 44 batters over 29 innings at Triple-A this season while holding a 1.86 ERA and a dominant 0.90 WHIP. Even though there is no clear spot in the MLB rotation for him, his strikeout upside makes him a priority stash option in all leagues.

Seattle Mariners shortstop prospect Colt Emerson continues to find success at the top level of the Seattle system and remains a high-end hitting prospect to stash in all formats. Over the last seven games at Triple-A Tacoma, Emerson has gone deep twice while swiping one bag with a 12:5 K:BB. Overall, the team's No. 1-ranked prospect has held a .234/.342/.547 slash line with seven doubles, four home runs, and seven stolen bases. Last summer, the former 22nd-overall selection spent time in the lower levels of the Seattle system and remains just one step away from joining the MLB roster. Even though there is no clear spot on the MLB roster for Emerson, as Cole Young has held his own at the keystone and veteran J.P. Crawford remains the primary shortstop, Emerson remains the top candidate to earn the call following a major injury.

Arizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Ryan Waldschmidt has hit a bit of a skid at Triple-A and has seen his value as a top hitting prospect to stash decline slightly. Over his last seven games with Triple-A Reno, Waldschmidt has gone 5-for-28 with just one home run and a double. During this stretch, the outfielder has swiped two bags while holding a 7:2 K:BB. However, prior to this short slump, Waldschmidt held an impressive .330/.441/.520 line with a strong .980 OPS over his first 24 games at the Triple-A level. Even though Waldschmidt was unable to break camp with the MLB roster, the former Kentucky standout has held his own at the top level of minor leagues. If he can snap this cold slump, Waldschmidt should remain in the mix to debut in the coming weeks. His five-category potential makes him a top-hitting prospect to stash.

Colorado Rockies first base/outfield prospect Charlie Condon has seen his power numbers and overall production dip slightly over the last two weeks at Triple-A. However, he remains a top-hitting prospect, as there is still a clear opening for him on the MLB roster. Over his last 11 contests, the former third overall pick has posted an underwhelming .135/.346/.162 line with a .508 OPS. During this noted stretch, Condon has hit just one double with no round-trippers. However, prior to this slump, the former Georgia standout was swinging a hot bat, holding a .339/.456/.589 slash line with two doubles and four home runs over his first 14 games of the campaign. With current first baseman TJ Rumfield holding a .649 OPS over his last 16 games, Rumfield could earn the call as soon as he snaps this skid. He is a top candidate to stash when looking for high-end power upside.

Seattle Mariners left-handed pitching prospect Kade Anderson turned in another stellar outing at Double-A and is making a strong case to make his MLB debut much sooner than previously expected. Anderson joined the Mariners with the third overall selection in last spring's draft but has quickly proven himself more than capable of holding his own at Double-A. On May 1, Anderson logged 5 2/2 shutout frames against Wichita with four hits, no walks, and eight strikeouts. Overall, across Anderson's first 24 1/3 professional innings (all with Double-A), Anderson has allowed just one run with 13 hits, and an incredible 38:4 K:BB. Currently, the Mariners do not have a clear opening for him, as Emerson Hancock has fully claimed the No. 5 role, and Bryce Miller (oblique) is on rehab assignment. While he may not debut in the second half, the former LSU star is on track to debut later this season and is worth stashing in all 12+ team leagues in an "NA" spot.

Detroit Tigers outfield prospect Max Clark has been swinging a cold bat at Triple-A over the last two weeks, but still holds a high-end stash value among the top hitting prospects. Over his last 11 games with Triple-A Toledo, Clark has held a .140/.229/.163 line with just one extra-base hit (one double) and a 12:5 K:BB. However, before hitting this slump, Clark was off to an impressive start with the top club at the Detroit system (17 games), posting a .377/.444/.565 line with a 1.010 OPS, eight doubles, one home run, and six stolen bases. During this stretch, Clark drew 10 walks while only striking out six times. Fantasy managers should continue to view Clark as an elite hitting prospect to stash, as he should remain in the mix to debut later in the first half of the season.

Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Tanner Scott picked up the save on Sunday as the Dodgers snapped their four-game losing streak in the series finale against the St. Louis Cardinals by winning 4-1. Scott is now two for two in save opportunities since Edwin Diaz (elbow) underwent surgery, which has made him unavailable for multiple months. Blake Treinen and Alex Vesia have both been deployed in high-leverage situations for the Dodgers late in games, but Scott appears to be the favorite to close things out, making him a must-add in formats with saves as a category, considering the likelihood of the Dodgers winning a good amount of games. In addition, Scott has deserved the role, as he has been excellent this season, with a 1.88 ERA, 0.70 WHIP, and 15 strikeouts over 14 1/3 innings.

The Athletics' right-hander Jack Perkins appears to be taking over as the team's top closer, with three saves in three save opportunities since April 21. On the season, he is 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 17 strikeouts in 13 1/3 innings pitched. To go with the strong swing and miss stuff (33.1 percent whiff rate and 30.9 percent strikeout rate), he has an elite walk rate, which sits in the 89th percentile, and a strong fastball that averages 96.0 mph. Coming into the 2026 season, the Athletics' bullpen plans were up in the air, so the fact that Perkins has been in the driver's seat for saves for the past few weeks immediately makes him interesting enough to the point where, in leagues that you are hurting for saves, you should make the investment in him on the waiver wire.

The San Francisco Giants are promoting top first base prospect Bryce Eldridge to the major league roster ahead of Monday's contest against the San Diego Padres. Eldridge is considered the team's No. 1-ranked prospect on MLB.com and the overall No. 20 in the sport. Eldridge was in serious consideration to break camp as a first baseman/designated hitter, sharing time with Rafael Devers, but ultimately fell short in the competition. However, Eldridge has enjoyed a productive start to the campaign with Triple-A Sacramento and will earn an early promotion to the majors. Through 30 games with the River Cats this spring, Eldridge has gone deep five times while holding a .333/.445/.518 slash line. Even though Eldridge struggled in his brief MLB stint last season, he is a top target on the waiver wire ahead of his promotion, given his elite raw power upside.

According to Joel Sherman of The New York Post, the New York Yankees have activated shortstop Anthony Volpe (elbow) from the 10-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A. Volpe was expected to take on the starting shortstop role in the Bronx ahead of his return from injury, but the Yankees will instead keep him in the minor leagues for the time being. During his 13-game rehab assignment with Double-A and Triple-A, the former top prospect held a .250/.306/.318 slash line with one home run and two stolen bases. Volpe was held out of action early in the season while recovering from offseason shoulder surgery. Last season, the infielder held a low .212 AVG but showed upside in the power and speed departments, hitting 19 home runs with swiping 18 bags. For the time being, Jose Caballero figures to be the primary shortstop and is worth adding in all standard formats.

Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Jhoan Duran (oblique) might not require a minor-league rehab assignment. On Sunday, Phillies interim manager Don Mattingly said Duran might not need a rehab assignment before being activated from the Injured List. Duran was touching 100 mph during a successful bullpen session on Saturday. All signs are pointing to Duran being activated off the 15-day IL early next week. Brad Keller has been filling in as the closer in Philly, but his fantasy value will take a hit once Duran returns.

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Eric Lauer will take the mound against the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday. The southpaw will get at least one more turn through the rotation with Jose Berrios (elbow) still sidelined. Lauer was blasted for seven runs on April 11 against the Minnesota Twins, but has been solid since then. Over his last two starts, Lauer has tossed 9.1 innings, allowing four earned runs with four strikeouts. The Rays' lineup isn't exactly scary for an opposing pitcher, so Lauer should be able to offer decent value. The southpaw could be a possible deep league streaming option for that one.

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Ranger Suarez (hamstring) was forced to make an early exit during Sunday's outing against the Houston Astros. Suarez tossed four scoreless innings before exiting the game due to what is being called right hamstring tightness. The severity of the injury is unknown, but Suarez should undergo further testing, so fantasy managers will need to check back for more information. Losing Suarez would be a tough break for the Red Sox, who already have multiple starting pitchers on the Injured List. His next scheduled outing is against the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday. The team will likely wait and see how he progresses before deciding if Suarez will make that start.

Miami Marlins catcher Joe Mack has been called up from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday. In a somewhat shocking decision, Agustin Ramirez has been demoted, while Mack receives the call to The Show. Mack is regarded as one of the team's top prospects and should get a legit shot to show off his skills. Mack hit .244 with three home runs, nine RBI, and one stolen base across 24 games in Triple-A this season. Liam Hicks has been swinging the bat well in Miami, but Mack should eat away at his playing time. The Marlins aren't going to call up Mack to have him ride the bench. Mack is viewed as a highly-regarded catching prospect and could have elite value at the position. Any fantasy managers in need of help at the catching position should consider adding him.

The Miami Marlins have demoted catcher Agustin Ramirez to Triple-A Jacksonville, according to Craig Mish. Ramirez had a slow start to his first full season in the big leagues and will head to the top level of the minor leagues to work out his struggles. Over the first 31 games of the campaign, Ramirez has held a .230/.318/.345 slash line with five doubles and two home runs. He has posted a solid 22.4% K% while drawing walks at an above-average 10.4% rate. However, Ramirez has generated a weak .288 xwOBA with a low .318 xSLG. Last summer in his debut campaign, Ramirez hit 21 home runs while swiping 16 bags over 136 MLB contests. In a corresponding move, the Marlins are promoting top catching prospect Joe Mack. Mack will likely serve as the team's No. 2 behind Liam Hicks behind the dish and is worth adding in all two-catcher formats.
